As it should be, the season’s harvest informs the menu. Cooking here is skillfully simple, using superb produce grown close by including from the Bistro Elba's kitchen garden, alongside foraged ingredients, organic meat, hand made cheeses, and daily fresh fish sourced from the best, ethical fisheries and cleanest oceans in the world.
Food was lovely. Really nice setting. Great ability to split credit card bill
I bought my dad here for a celebratory lunch and it was perfect. Food was super delicious, wine was perfect and the staff were attentive and helpful.
Steer clear if you are looking for a half decent beer offering.Only one craft beer which was nothing special and which they ran out of soon after we got there. Most of the rest of the beer offer was Eurocentric,no idea why .Very disappointing for a joint that used to stock some good beers.Won't be getting me back there unlit they offer an acceptable beer selection.
Outstanding food and interesting wine list coupled with expert service
Holy cow this place is great - quality, good value and professional service
try the sides they are excellent
actually try everything is it great cost 130pp 3 courses
We had attended on a previous occasion and it was excellent, amazing food . This time we were disappointed . The steak was over cooked and a small portion for $70 with 2servings . The fish also was over cooked and the potatoes which were a specialty were not cooked freshly but appeared reheated we had 3serves , were amazing on a previous occasion.
Although the sweet menu looks amazing did not indulge .
The people and the food are wonderful. There is always something new to try or an old favourite to remember.
Great food, excellent service, good atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting great food & excellent service
This was our first visit since the name change
We enjoyed our visit and the food was excellent
It was not overly busy and noise level was minimal
We look forward to our next visit
Always love it here! Food is creative, tasty and very well sourced!
Amazing food, really nice atmosphere and great service!
Bistro Elba was a delightful place for a birthday lunch, from the interesting drinks menu to the creative food, beautiful environment and caring and professional service. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service. Wine list very good but prices excessive particularly by the glass.
Our table wasn't ready when we arrived, despite having a reservation. We did have to wait approximately 20 minutes at the bar until our table was ready. In instances like this it is usual practice the restaurant makes amends by offering a complimentary drink- unfortunately nothing was offered.
The food - there were four of us, did not look as appetising as it has on previous occasions. The Coq au Vin, looked tired and was a small portion according to one of our guests and the signature fish pie was watery and very little fish/seafood contained within.
Overall, an ok dining experience but not as good as it has been in the past. I did notice new wait staff on the floor.
Bistro Elba has a great menu featuring local produce. The service and food are always excellent
Amazing food and music
Absolutely outstanding — can’t stop raving about it!
Great service and delicious fresh food. Good selection of dishes on the menu to meet most dietary requirements also easily found a wine we liked. Staff were very welcoming & we would recommend and definitely go back.
Looking for a different lunch experience in Sorrento and found it! Good advice on wines and the was great. My three guests had the Fisherman’s Pie, I had the whiting. We were all impressed and are spreading the word to our Mornington Peninsula friends.
service and ambience was fantastic. will certainly return
Bistro Elba is centrally located in Sorento and the interior is warm and inviting. It has a menu that changes daily, but there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The food was tasty however it is a bit on the expensive side for what you get. I had a prawn entree ($14 for 3 prawns) and I think this could have been a bit more generous in serve size. The fisherman's
pie was tasty but I was disappointed with the filling which was watery and bland. Expect to pay at least $14/glass for wine, and you have to order side serves if you want extra vegetables as some dishes come without. The desert of spiced rhubarb and ginger clafoutis with Mornington Peninsula honey and ricotta ice cream was stunning and I'd recommend this bistro for that alone. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive.
Lovely food and great service, the atmosphere was great and the whole restaurant had lovely artwork and views.
Fantastic food and quality service. Everybody wins.
The meal was tasty but very very small serving!
Great food brilliant staff excellent value. Well done. Will be back
The food was particularly good and delicious and the service was excellent. A nice ambiance made our food experience great.
Loved everything about Bistro Elba and look forward to dining there again soon.
Fantastic place, food and wine. Perfectly balanced, but still hearty and just excellently cooked. What a great find. Thoroughly recommend to anyone on the peninsula, well worth the trip.
We had an absolutely beautiful late Sunday lunch at Bistro Elba after a morning at the Peninsula Hot Springs. The food was outstanding, service impeccable and the wine was perfect! Very well priced for the quality of the dishes and wine.
Fabulous food ! Delicious lunch on a wet winters day. What could be better !
Friendly bistro in main Street of Sorrento. Food always interesting and usually with a twist. Lunch time menu particularly good value. Surprised that on Sunday lunchtime there were not more people dining. Try it.
Service was great and so was the food. Great potatoes & yummy coleslaw. We all had great mains. The only thing that we could complain about was the ice cream was icy and not creamy that came with the orange cake. But overall it was great.
Four of us had dinner and everyone except me really enjoyed their meal. I has fish and felt the flavours were too strong. The side dishes were all delicious.
Food, ambiance and service spot on and a good selection of wines.
The owner and staff we're lovely and the food was outstanding. Our steaks and sides were delicious as well as our entrees and desserts.
Delicious. We had the preset menu for lunch and it was stunning. The wine was well paired and my companions fish was cooked perfectly
Great food, exceptional, service. Very relaxed atmosphere, I'm going to have to make this place a regular
Four of us went for a mother's Day dinner. It looked nice, reviews looked good.
Spent the rest of the weekend apologising for my choice of restaurant. The food was expensive as you needed to order sides with your meal, so approximately $50 plus, for a main, and the food was way below par.
Three of us ordered entrees one of which was ok. The mains we're all a disappointment the garfish in particular was nothing short of a joke. We're not sure how this place has been open for such a period of time when the food is so ordinary, unfortunately, huge disappointment, we won't be back.
We have been before and the food is consistently good although a little pricey given the serving size.
We love Bistro Elba. It's one of the few places on the Peninsula where the quality of food and service is of a consistently of high standard, irrespective of whether you're dining on a quiet weeknight during mid-winter or 'in the thick of it all' during the Easter holidays.
