Fantastic! We all enjoyed our meals. The chicken plate is worth a return (seriously...this was my second time and I only came for the chicken)
The service was excellent--attentive without being pushy on a very busy night. And the food, very French, was outstanding.
We really enjoyed our meal. Everything was delicious, and the warm baguette served with the meal was a nice touch. I expected better service, but overall the service was adequate.
Always an excellent choice!
The food was excellent and so was the service!! Had been once before about 2 years ago and was so glad we chose that restaurant before seeing a show down the street!!
Small restaurant that reminds us of Paris. Great cocktails and french food, small tables, creative takes on French favorites. Friendly wait staff and parking lot across the street. If you've been to Paris, this restaurant will remind you a bit of that amazing city.
Great time. Food was delicious, and I had a great wine too. Chairs could have been more comfortable, that’s my only complaint.
Great service, fun atmosphere (tho music was way too loud for such a small space).
Good wine, good beet appetizer. Wonderful dessert tart.
The steak frites dish was tough and almost indigestible.
My friend's beef bourguignon was just ok. Maybe it was the real cook's night off or maybe
it's not a place for beef dishes (or entrees). Shoulda ordered the fish.
Sorry for the bluntness, but there it is...
Kat is an awesome server. This is one of our "go to" restaurants whenever we go to OTS.
Two friends and I made a reservation at Bistro Campagne for the last night of their Restaurant Week prix fixe menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. From the soupe a l'oignon to our main courses - the chicken, the trout, and the boeuf bourguignon - and our desserts - pot de creme, creme brulee, and a fig bread pudding - everything was on point. Our waiter suggested a beautiful bottle of wine to go along with our meal. A snowstorm had just begun to hit Chicago, and we felt like we had entered a cozy French hideaway. Can't wait to come back and try brunch on the patio this summer!
What a cozy little spot! I loved the food, warmth and delightful service. Will return!
We stopped in for Restaurant Week and were blown away by the food! It was so so good; I can't stop thinking about it. We'll definitely be back for more. I can't wait to return in the summer to check out the gorgeous patio!
Everything was wonderful, as usual. The food, however, was consistently cold. Perhaps the food had been pre-prepared & then was heated before serving. This did effect the food quality.
Fourth year for restaurant week and the quality and selection have really diminished. Beef bourginon was so salty it was inedible. Waitress was negligent and inattentive. Would not recommend much less revisit.
We went as part of Chicago Restaurant Week - the food and service were fantastic. The space is intimate and cozy. I highly recommend Bistro Campagne.
We loved the ambiance, from the decor to the French music playing (not too loud), to the friendly service. Unpretentious but upscale. Overall, a lovely brunch on a snowy day - and we can't wait to go back and try the patio when it's nice out.
Everything was wonderful.
Came for Chicago Restaurant Week. Was impressed by the flexibility of substituting items from the regular menu into the pre-fixe menu. Food was outstanding! Noise from adjacent tables was unusually loud, though it subsided when those parties left the dining room. We will be back!
We were lucky enough to snag a reservation during Restaurant Week that I'm certain was a last-minute cancellation. I had the pan fried trout with smoked trout risotto and spinach salad. It was so delicious, the word 'delicious' doesn't really do it justice. The service was spectacular with our waitress checking on us a perfect amount -- not too little, not too much. The food is amazing and the fact that this is neighborhood spot and independently owned makes it even better. We'll be back.
We went to Bistro Campagne with friends on Restaurant Week. Excellent menu with flexibility to choose off menu. Service was great and the food was excellent. We’ll be back again!
An adorable place but with inadequate heating in back rooms.
I've been enjoying BC for many years and have always had exceptional experiences. Therefore, I do not say this cavalierly; the food and service this evening was mediocre. I hope it was just one bad night.
Had the French onion soup, beef bourguignon, and a dessert tasting. All was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Friendly and attentive staff, great ambiance.
My friends an I went for restaurant week and their menu is a great deal with the portions they serve. I was so full and brought half of my entree home.
I brought my friend here for a birthday celebration during restaurant week. We had the signature chicken dish and the boeuf bourguignon. Both were excellent! The onion soup was delicious as was the creme Brûlée. We enjoyed the evening!
The service was excellent!
We love this restaurant! It is our go-to place for special occasions, but also when we want a good meal in a lovely setting.
Everything was delish and the staff was very friendly! Great atmosphere and nice place to have a conversation!
I've always loved this place for both food and ambiance but actually haven't eaten here for a couple of years. Happy to say it is still great.
Took advantage of restaurant week with a 3-course selection of terrific selections in each course. Service was superb and our waiter’s wine suggestion was spot one. Bistro Campagne rarely disappoints and delivers on food, service and atmosphere.
