Very Very nice. Duck was outstanding. Crab Cakes excellent. Baked oysters bland.
Excellent food and excellent service. Pricey for lunch but high quality of service and high quality of food compensates for the cost. Just a great restaurant with a wonderful menu.
Excellent food, excellent service, close to Union Station, fast service, will definitely recommend
We booked an 11:45 table for brunch for six people and, because of a performance, told the waiter we needed to leave by 1:15. The interior is attractive and comfortable. The big slanted mirror over the bar adds a European touch. Conversation was easy.
The tomato soup on the daily menu was excellent - balanced flavors and nice garnish. The fettucine was tasty and well presented. It could have been served warmer. The friendly service was leisurely and after ordering the food was slow to arrive. We had time for 2 courses but not 3, meaning no dessert even though the restaurant knew we were celebrating a birthday.
Past visits have been superb. I'll go again and hope the restaurant improves on this four-star experience.
Very lovely dining experience.
Great restaurant, great ambiance! Highly recommended! A+
Took my wife for Valentine's Day ; first time there. Exceeded expectations in every regard. Good was superb and service better. I had bronzino and wife had halibut. Perfect.
The wait staff was outstanding. Will ask for Steve when I go back
Excellent service, delicious food. Bustling, but not too noisy for a working lunch.
My wife and I go to Bistro Bis for a weekend lunch from time to time and love it. It's quiet, the food is very good, service is friendly and prompt. We are big fans.
An excellent lunch with an out-of-town guest. Well-prepared classic French cuisine, with attentive service.
The French fries are always good here but the rest of the meal was bland, just not very good at all. It's too bad because I used to really like Bistro Bis
Enjoyed an outstanding venison carpaccio and roasted branzino with olives, artichokes and blood orange slices. Both were "wow" dishes! The setting is a bit "hotel bland", but it is a decent space for conversation. The food is definitely worth going back for.
Love this place and have used it for lunch dates dozens of time. Food is always perfect. However this last time, there was a long hair in someone’s dish. The waiter took it away and then brought back half the dish and still charged us for it.
Creme brulee was cold and hard. I prefer runnier teksture. Paris Brest should be a little sweeter, and skin crispier. Overall, all the food tasted OK, but not distinctively memorable.
Service was excellent.
A very enjoyable experience. The food was very tasty and the wine a pleasure to drink. The service was noticeably better than we usually encounter.
It's $$ place for brunch (entree starts from $15), but they have a great deal "Three course tasting menu" for $22 that includes an appetizer, entree and dessert of your choice.
Server was good but food from the kitchen took longer than it should have. Space was fine but restrooms were closed for renovations so you were directed to restroom in the fitness center of the hotel which was less than pleasing. Looked like ceiling was going to fall in due to being stained from leaks.
Great experience. Get the steak frites.
Bis was as good as always. It's our go-to place when we want a comfortable evening for good conversation with food to match. There's not a dish on the menu we wouldn't order. This time of year, many of the dishes are comfort food and very welcome. Service is unobtrusive and promptly available when needed. The atmosphere is quiet enough to talk but convivial. We'll be back.
We ate here twice during Restaurant Week, once for lunch and once for dinner. Over those meals, we had the beet salad, endive salad, foi gras, trout, risotto, and bouillabaisse. They were all exceptional! The Restaurant deals made the whole experience reasonable yet special. Highly recommended.
The food was really exceptional. Great service. You cannot go wrong with Bistro Bis for a very nice quiet meal.
Food was wonderful. Service was stressed due to Restaurant Week but server kept us informed and apologetic! Have always enjoyed Bistro Bis!
I was here over Restaurant Week so I expected it to be busy. However, apparently Bistro Bis did not expect it to be busy, because they only had one poor bartender scrambling to cover most of the front section and the bar. The food (onion soup, duck confit) was delicious, but I ended up having to leave without eating my dessert because the service was so slow. The server was wonderful when she was at my table, just far too busy.
Food took a long time to arrive so we couldn't finish the dessert but the food was excellent. Think it was packed due to restaurant week. Server just doing the best he could.
To eat here is an experience! Food was absolutely amazing and the service was great. I highly recommend their escargot and the confit de canard touloussienne.
Steve was a wonderful server and that onion soup is the best in DC!
I like this place for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The food’s only so-so. Nothing to inspire. But it’s a good place if you work or are around Union Station. I’d recommend for cocktails and bar, and maybe lunch or dinner, if you’re not looking for something special with innovative fare.
My Fiance and I enjoyed ourselves very much. The food was amazing!
We went during Restaurant Week and the food was delicious! The servers were excellent; very attentive. Would definitely recommend!
