The food was not up to Bistro Bis standards. We ordered the Halibut and Trout dishes - both were overcooked (dry stringy vs moist and flakey).

Steak Frites: Ordered my steak med rare............came on the well done side. Fries good. Server nice.

The food was good but not great, I've definitely had better elsewhere. It was pretty over rated in my opinion. The service was okay, there was only one server so it was somewhat slow but she was trying to be polite and helpful as much as possible.

Sooo expensive and to much goat cheese in the squash flowers. Beet salad just average, desert was the best thing.

We were looking for a place. Once Kent to Union Station on a nice summer evening. Nice wine and tables outside made it a pleasant evening. We had the bouillabaisse, which was uneven. The broth was excellent, but the seafood was cool and overcooked. I'd go back but order a different dish

even though we ended up in a booth near the bar, the food and service were good...everyone enjoyed their dishes, although the trout could have used a bit more spice or sauce...this place is particularly good for lunch...

My wife and I had a terrific meal. This was the first time in a few years that we visited Bistro Bis and we were impressed yet again with a fine meal in comfortable environment. Salads, pork chop, and beef were outstanding. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We'll be back!

My wife and I came here based on other OpenTable comments and we're glad we did! It was a great experience and we would highly recommend this bistro to anyone coming to D.C. My wife had a salmon entree that was perfectly cooked and the accompanying braised leeks and Yukon Gold potatoes were excellent. I was not very hungry so I ordered the lump crab cake appetizer. The fava beans and asparagus complimented it very nicely and the stone-ground mustard remoulade was delicate and did not overpower the crab. As wonderful as all this was, the highlight of the meal was the freshly baked apple tart! Served with house-made creme fraiche and a Calvados sauce it was beautifully presented by our server. The tart is large enough for sharing and was the perfect end to an excellent meal. When we arrived the room was rather quiet, but by the time we left the room was filling and the noise level rose accordingly. Overall, this was a great restaurant choice for us and we will be sure to return next time we're in D. C.!

Absolutely excellent in every way - food, service, ambience. Quite expensive, but you get what you pay for! Just splendid.
