My server was amazing. Super attentive to my dietary needs, amazingly welcoming but unobtrusive. Perfect for a business lunch.
Went for their brunch restaurant week menu, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Portions were huge, and the food was delicious. The French onion soup was fantastic, as was the dessert.
Came here for restaurant week brunch and it did not disappoint! The creme brûlée was to die for!
We had a delicious dinner - during restaurant week - of classic french dishes. The restaurant was classically decorated and lovely, if a bit crowded.
Bistro Bis exceeded all expectations on our first visit, for my husband's birthday weekend and a visit from our son and his wife, whose family is French. We were impressed with the large number of selections on the Restaurant Week menu, all delicious and beautifully presented. The pace was leisurely and uncrushed, so we could fully enjoy a salad or soup, entree, and dessert for lunch. Thank you for a charming afternoon in the bistro, a perfect respite between viewing museum exhibits.
First visit. Excellent service and brunch selections. Will return in future for dinner opportunity.
Escargot and scallops were amazing.
Delicious food. Great service.
We went for restaurant week, which I usually assume will be scaled down. Not so with bistro bis. They offered so many choices!
Started with watermelon gazpacho and beet salad. Delicious. Entrees were duck confit and trout amandine. Wonderful. Desserts were lemon pastry and chocolate torte. Great finish.
Loved our Catalan server! He was lovely, food was delicious with nice portion sizes.
Great restaurant! Went there for lunch during Restaurant Week: large selection on this menu, which includes many of the best options from the regular menu (which few restaurants actually do). Very good food: looking and tasting great!
Service was extremely rushed and to crowded for the number of server. Order was wrong. Food was pretty good but both desserts were disappointing. Snails were great.
Short ribs were delicious. Watermelon gazpacho was very good. Hector was a great waiter. Recommend this restaurant.
The noise level is pretty high but we could still be heard. Starters: the onion soup was excellent; the salad was supposed to have manchego cheese in it as a key ingredient; they forgot the cheese! A simple apology and the waiter said he would notify the chef, but that was it. I think this was a failing - both in forgetting the cheese, and then the reaction. The scallop dish was slightly overdone, the trout amandine was fine. All in all, a lackluster experience. Odd about the manchego.
We went for Restaurant Week. Great menu, food and service. More good than we could eat!
The waitress was in over her head, but the food was very good and the setting was beautiful.
as always- food excellent- we were there for restaurant week and the onion soup, traditionally made, and the trout almondine were excellent- and as lunch they allowed us to take our dessert home- which was also excellent- food and service here always top notch
Excellent food that becomes a particularly good value during restaurant week.
Still the best Open Table value in the area. A full menu with few upcharges. All the dishes we chose were excellent. The risotto was new and had a pleasing creamy texture. The watermelon gazpacho and the strawberry shortcake are classics, not to be missed. This time the service was disappointing. It’s not that the server wasn’t trying; he just seemed to be covering all the tables on the second floor. Example: our beverages finally arrived after the appetizer course, which didn’t appear for a good 25 minutes after we ordered.
The beet salad, tortellini and crème Brule was incredible. This was my first time eating at Bistro Bis and I will definitely come again.
Restaurant week menu was amazing. The food was very high quality, and there was excellent service. However, the tables were very close together and the noise level was high.
it was an excellent experience! the shrimp is the best one i have ever have.
Josh was a great server! The apps, entrees, and desserts came out in a timely manner. Josh made sure to keep the pace at a comfortable time and made sure we were enjoying our experience. Highly recommend the food here!
The food and service at Bistro Bis are outstanding. I always have a good experience there and appreciate the warm welcome from the minute I enter.
Bistro Bis was exceptional. The service “Steve” was over the top. A true professional. Good quality and appearance was amazing. A truly wonderful night out for a couple visiting from Florida.
A very enjoyable meal. The food was very good. I had a trout. The wine, a Chablis, was very tasty. The service was low key and efficient. It was quiet and elegant.
I truly enjoy Bistro Bis and recommend it to all my friends and family who come to DC.
Amazing meal of escargot, duck and steak. Very attentive staff.
Virtually empty at 6 pm but unable to secure a booth. Service extremely indifferent. Not even a second glass of water on a hot night. AC not working. Or barely. With so few customers it might be a good idea to accommodate those you have. Huge disappointment.
What a treat - I left nothing on my plate because everything tasted so good. Service was terrific and had celebrity siting of Supreme Court Judge Elena Kagan.
We had a wonderful evening. Good food, the crab cake was exceptional. Very accommodating service.
Don, Norm, Betsy and staff at Bistro Bis are THE example of the best customer service in any restaurant experience. I can't say enough great things about them. Bistro Bis is a gem. I recommend it strongly!
Attentive service, great food, and space for private conversation. Great experience.
I eat breakfast there a lot. The food is good.
Today I think was just an off day.
Dining room was very loud for lunch. Bar area was perfect for lunch conversation.
Lovely meal at this very consistent bistro. Watermelon soup & the eggplant were both very good. I have eaten here dozens of times with no disappointments.
Good breakfast with old friends
It was good.
We had a wonderful experience! The staff was very attentive and kind. The food was delicious!
