Have visited many times pre COVID. Food and service still as good as ever! Lots of attention to safety. Highly recommend.
We had the most delicious brunch here this morning. It was very quiet in the restaurant due to coronavirus so our server Josh was attentive and spent a lot of time answering our questions. We can’t remember the GM’s name but he was friendly and welcoming as well.
I can’t say enough about the food. We ordered the mussels in the saffron cream sauce and I don’t have words to describe how good it was. Josh was amazing and kept bringing us more bread to soak up the remaining sauce. The pied du cochon Benedict was also delicious. We ate a lot of food but didn’t feel gross or bogged down afterwards like we usually do after brunch. We can’t wait to come back to have the mussels again and try more menu items, and to see Josh and the GM again.
Wonderful food, drinks and service! Highly recommend.
This was one of several delightful meals we have enjoyed at Bistro Bis. From the warm greeting we received by the hostess to the server's (Hector) introduction to the serving assistants' approach we could not have felt more welcome. The menu choices were diverse with an overall Continental flair.
We and the couple with whom we dined look forward to a return visit.
Execellent foodie experience
What a pleasant surprise! I recently traveled to DC for a conference and met a friend at Bistro Bis for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was outstanding! The short rib bourguignon was literally to die for! I highly recommend - you will not be disappointed!
The good was excellent. They did not have my reservation, but we were seated and served promptly.
Our server, Olga, was excellent. Very attentive and made sure all our needs and requests were met.
The fries were cold and we had to send them back. My steak was done too well when I asked for it medium. We also were bummed that a booth was not reserved for us, despite making a reservation for a business meeting.
Service was great and the food was prepared quickly.
as always, found bistro bis to be one of the best restaurants in dc- not overpriced- excellent food and service- love it for lunch or dinner
Delicious menu, attentive service, comfortable seating and quiet enough to hear your companion across the table.
Everything was excellent
Fantastic meal...apps, entrees, and amaaazing desserts! From start to finish, Bistro Bis was a wonderful dining experience!
The food was very good. Our only complaint, a serious one at that, is more of a recommendation. Patrons should be asked at the start of the meal of there are any allergies.
My wife and I did order carefully however at the end of the meal we were given some truffles because we didn’t receive an item we ordered. We didn’t think that one may have Nita. My wife is allergic and did have a reaction. Fortunately it was not as serious as it could h e been because she realized there were nuts as soon as she took a bite.
Other than this it was a pleasant experience experience.
The chicken and waffle was okay. The flakey biscuits were amazing.
It would have been nice if they offered chai latte.
Bistro Bis never fails to impress. Great lunch with a colleague the right about of service so we could do business and the food was excellent. Continues to be one of my favorites!
Our waiter was great and always good to see Brandon (bartender)!
The food was outstanding. I had the Choucroute-like special (pork tenderloin, boudin blanc, and smoked sausage with sauerkraut and veggies). So delicious. It was perfect. Salads alway shine at Bistro Bis.
Best place for date night or family dinner. The food was divine and the service was excellent and we felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant, even though is was Valentine's weekend.
Came here for Valentine’s Day. Makes sense why this place had tables available a week before valentines. Terrible slow service. Food was very average. Median age of the guests were definitely around retirement age
Delicious flavors and excellent menu selections. Service was fantastic.
So delighted you liked everything.
Our business group comes to DC every February for a conference. Bistro Bis is near our hotel but we continue to return due to the attentive service and excellent food. Our group of six selected different entrees from the menu, from halibut, steak frites to the pork chops. All of it was enjoyable and we will continue to support this restaurant.
Thanks so much!
Excellent choice for value and service. Food was outstanding and our waiter Steve was also outstanding with excellent recommendations on our selections.
So happy that I found this place! The charming maitre'd had me at hello, quickly followed by attentive waitstaff and lovely ambience. We needed to be done in time to get to a concert and they could not have been more helpful. The food, well, it was just what I love about French food. Mussels, onion soup, lovely beet salad, duck, all perfect. Great Sancerre and nice choice of Belgian beers. Our neighboring table ordered desserts that made me swoon, but I couldn't afford the calories. Next time, though. Not cheap but money well spent. Overall, a delight & I look forward to returning.
Bistro Bis is an all time favorite for me -- never disappointed. I had friends from Iowa and they were wowed without being intimidated by lots of food that they were not familiar with. The day was perfect.
Staff and server were outstanding. They took good care of us even though I made the dinner reservation for 7:30 am by mistake. Thank you for a fun evening!
It’s been awhile since I’ve dined @ Bistro Bis. An absolutely delectable meal with such excellent service. I need to come back more often.
Everything was excellent and the service was superb.
Everything was great! Our waiter was friendly & attentive. Entree was a little pricy.
excellent for late lunch. deicious shrimp salads and best frittes outside Paris!
Great place for a business breakfast/lunch/dinner with someone who is travelling via Amtrak.
Table spacing a bit tight today. Servers keep brushing/kicking my chair as they squeezed by.
They brought an incorrect order to one of the people at the table. We let them know, and it took them nearly 30 minutes to correct. This was for a club sandwich, so nothing that should have taken that long. The waiter barely seemed to care, and they didn’t comp the food. The manager told me he would ‘take care of me the next time,’ which there won’t be on my end. High prices for really bad service.
I haven't eaten at Bistro Bis in 6 years and it was exactly as good as I remember... amazing! And still some of the same staff!
The salads for restaurant week were great, and the steak and frites were delicious. The chocolate cake wasn’t bad.
Four women friends went for lunch during restaurant week. We were quite surprised to see the extensive menu, especially since most restaurants limit the food options to 3-4 items. We had a cosy sunlit table in the corner. My mussels appetizer had a rich tomato broth and the portion was just right. French onion soup was equally flavorful. The shrimp salad dressing and sauce were delicious. My dessert profiterole was crispy on the outside with a wonderful lemon curd filling. All in all, a great choice for restaurant week and beyond.
Lovely lunch in the upper level.
Thanks, Bistro Bis!
Restaurant week menu was outstanding
