Brook, our waitress was the kindest and efficient server ever. She made sure that I received my cocktail just the way I wanted. The manager came to my table to prepare the drink to perfection. He called it a reconstruction margarita. Both shared quips and stories about their enjoyable experiences working at the Bistro. We ate both breakfast and dinner there. The food was excellent as well as the ambiance. Thank you.
Love the food and the ambiance! Great service too.
Ricotta Lemkn waffle was perfection.
My food tasted like salt was poured into it. Waitress didn’t come around often. Bread had to be asked. Would not dine again.
We waited for two hours for our food. It was mind boggling.
We were celebrating my daughter’s 13th birthday there. I had ordered a medium rare filet mignon for dinner. It was the worst. It was mushy and gray in the center. Just awful. The staff never acknowledged my daughter’s Birthday. Typically I am used to a special dessert provided to the birthday person, but this restaurant did nothing even though I had ordered and paid for dessert. I mentioned my displeasure after I had paid and tip the waiter 25%. I told my story to Billy who was our cart driver and he took my information and said he would try to rectify the situation. It’s been 3days and there has been no contact from the hotel nor any action taken from the hotel restaurant. I am actually an Ambassador Elite member with Marriott which is the highest membership level. I really expected that the hotel would some how rectify the situation at their restaurant, but nothing. I would not recommend the Bistro restaurant at the Ritz Carlton in Santa Barbara.
Had a really good service and food was great. Thank you.
Great food and service - just wish that we could have eaten inside since it started raining.
Hmmm... their brunch really was underwhelming. As a regular at Bacara, it was very disappointing.
We had a wonderful meal and the team was outstanding... focused on every detail. Mary was just incredible and we will be back very soon for another stay on the property ... and coming back into The Bistro for breakfast. Thanks to the entire team and especially Mary. Thanks, Steven & John
Good food, good service
Service was beyond excellent.
Brunch was delicious. They're doing a great job following the covid guidelines. Only bummer was there was a tree cutter sawing the whole time.
The Bistro was closed so we were re routed to Angel Oak. The food was very good, and the view was spectacular. The staff did a great job of safety and cleanliness. We even got a temperature check before we were seated.
great fun chic place. very nice service. highly rec.
Great experience - we love Bacara resort but the food was very disappointing and overpriced - especially for a Ritz.
All seating is nice right now and breakfast was top notch. Compliments to the chef and we will be back!
Food was good, service is great, even given it’s a resort some of the items are way overpriced. For instance $9 for two shots of espresso. Otherwise good place.
I really liked The Bistro, I shared a burger and the Shrimp salad with a mimosa (subbed pineapple juice for OJ- trust me, it's your new fave, thank my later). The food was really good and the server was very nice and attentive. They split our food for us and brought us a little treat because we were celebrating our anniversary. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back to try all the brunch items.
We went to The Bistro for my husband’s 50th birthday. The meal was delicious/ I had halibut & my husband had the filet mignon. His was well done & he ordered medium rare. They brought a delicious dessert for him. Their cocktails are fare but Overpriced for a Martini size cocktail for $22. Overall it was a nice evening.
We ate there for brunch and the skillet was excellent. I will have that again.
Nice service but bland, uninspiring food at high prices
The food was delicious (breakfast pizza and banana pancakes), the service was prompt and friendly, and their Covid protocols were impressive.
We had an amazing birthday celebration for my mom. Logan was our waiter and he went above and beyond. He recommended the salmon and it was delicious. My dad is handicapped. The staff made sure to put us at a table with enough room for his wheelchair. Highly recommend The Bistro.
Overpriced regular food. Good looking place and service is nice.
Great experience - salmon was fantastic - def order that
Overall fairly good, but the limited menu is challenging.
The restaurant is doing an exceptional job given the restrictions imposed by the state in response to the China virus.
Expensive but pretty good. Ordered the burger and chicken tortilla soup and both were good!
Food: inoffensive but forgettable. Menu not varied; no appetizer options except guacamole.
Seating: we notified ahead that it was a special occasion (husband’s birthday) and that we were taking a rare kid-free weekend. They seated us next to a large, loud, boorish family group. The kids were out of control, but the profanity coming out of the parents at full volume was even worse.
Overall experience: we couldn’t get a seating until 7:45 and even then had to wait. I was starved, so I asked for some bread. They charged us SEVEN dollars for a side of sourdough toast (???)
Drinks: my husband’s bourbon based cocktail tasted like a child’s juice box and cost $20. Yes, TWENTY dollars - before tip. My $18 glass of wine tasted like the end of a bottle that had been open in the wine fridge too long. What a disappointment— and a $150 disappointment, to boot
Beautiful location and great service. Pricey for quality of food but still worth it!
Meh. Not bad but not good. Food was fresh but bland and over priced. Wait staff not well trained and disorganized. We appreciate being allowed to linger over a meal. Facility was clean.
Service was good. Food was mediocre for the price. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and the shrimp were not cleaned and I was totally turned off. 2nd visit and less than impressed
We were surprised that there best Restaurent was closed on a Wednesday. The Bistro was good but a limited menu. Very friendly service.
This restaurant is fantastic. Great food. Friendly service from the top down. Even the golf cart ride from the lobby to the restaurant is nice. When we got there, an amazingly kind sommelier offered us samples of some wines that paired well with the meal. The food was great and, afterward, the manager came out and we had a great conversation with him. I'm looking forward to returning the next time I'm in Goleta.
Great service and great food. Loved it!
Celebrating my wife’s birthday at the Bacara resort and decided to have dinner at the Bistro on Friday night. We were seated outside in the patio. I ordered a pork chop that turned out to be under cooked and because of the poor lighting outside I wasn’t really sure it was safe to eat until the pig bit me in the nose. At that point I turned on my phone flashlight and saw that it was under cooked around the bone. When I had the waiter come over he said he would take care of it and instead of removing the whole entrée from the bill he removed 50% of the cost of the pork chop. I didn’t feel like making a big scene because it was my wife’s birthday but felt a restaurant at the Ritz Carlton should have better customer service. When we checked out we mentioned this to the front desk and they did the right thing by not only removing the pork chop but took care of the entire dinner cost. We were going to go to their steakhouse the next night but because of the poor way the pork chop was handled, we went to the Boat House in Santa Barbara instead and had a wonderful meal at half the price.
It was a beautiful evening on the patio with plenty of heat lamps to keep us comfortable. The service was excellent and the food and wine were outstanding. The entree menu is somewhat limited but the appetizers and salad options made the choices more extensive. Excellent dinner!
