    Nancy was our server and she was fantastic. The food, however, was extremely lacking for the hotel and its reputation. The Edgewood is an absolutely amazing establishment and that’s why we were extremely disappointed with the food. The only pass that I will offer is that it was during the celebrity golf event and the kitchen may have been overwhelmed.

    The meat dishes were good. However all the rest of the foods and side dishes lacked flavor. We were a party of 8 and we had to return our 2 steaks twice because they could not cook it right temp. Servers were very nice but manager did not even care that they ruined our meal because they could not cook our steaks right and so 2 people did not eat until after we were all done with our meal. Manager did not even come to apologize and actually made us feel like we are in the wrong. Staff is great but restaurant needs better management.

    Bistro does it again! Impeccable service and incredible food. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and the charcuterie while seated by the window to catch the sunset. The short rib fell apart on the plate - perfectly cooked! The filet had a beautiful peppercorn sauce paired with it. We loved it so much we came back for brunch another day.

    Our food order was wrong, two of the four of us got our food, so the delivery of the food was not synchronized. The steak and eggs order (cost $50) was not good, bland and the hash-browns were oily and soggy, not crispy. It was a shame because the property and view are amazing. They have some work to do to fix the food and service issues.

    We had dinner at the Bistro and it was like a comedy of errors, however we were not amused. We were taken to a dirty table to start with. The server and assistant had no personality which made the service very awkward. It was like no one communicated with each other. The food runners didn’t know what table or person to serve, our food went to the wrong table to begin with. The steak tartare was awful, the desserts were out too long and stale. It was like we were on a low cost cruise ship. Hardly worth the $250/pp. The grounds are gorgeous but that was where the luxury stopped.

    I think they over sold which caused them to under preform. Our reservations were made for 2 1/2 hours before the fireworks display was scheduled to start. Long story short, we didn't get through dinner and get our bill settled before the fireworks began. Our appetizers came out promptly, but things derailed from there. Our second courses came out about 40 minutes later and our main course within 5 minutes of that. So our table was full of food with our main courses getting cold as we ate our second. We then waited another 30 plus minutes to have our waiter ask us if we wanted anything else and we had to tell her we were waiting on our desserts and coffee. She apologized and said they would come right out. We waited another 20 minutes for them to arrive. When they arrived, I asked for our bill so that we could promptly leave to enjoy the fireworks which were to start shortly. We again had to wait another 15 minutes to get the bill and another 10 to get the credit card processed. With a pre-set four course dinner, this shouldn't happen..... especially for the price of $250 per person plus a mandatory 20% gratuity. We have been come to Edgewood for the 4th of July for 7 years in a row now, not sure we'll be back for another.

    Never go here on the 4th of July we paid $250 a person for food and fireworks. The service wasn’t great and the hostess was extremely rude. We had family members with a later reservation and we had asked if they could sit at a table next to us as it was empty for 20 minutes and the rude hostess even walked back and don’t was open and still would not seat our other party. It took 2 hours to feed us then was wiping the table off before we could sign the tag. Because they were seating another party. Very rude and they added gratuity which they didn’t deserve and even added gratuity to a party of 4! We had gone there last year for the 4th and you could spread out and take your own chairs this year we couldn’t and we were packed in to watch the fireworks!! Do not go on the 4th of July you will be disappointed!!

    Our waiter was very knowledgeable in culinary arts. It’s was refreshing to hear his ideas and opinions on their signature dishes and sauces. Our food was delicious and perfectly seasoned.

    Brunch here was delicious! Loved the vibe and decor as well. Service was questionable, however. Our server would disappear for a good while here and there, and it seem that crowded. My husband asked for no pecans with his chicken & waffle but he got pecans. Good thing he doesn’t have an allergy. Then my over-easy eggs came scrambled. I had to tell the food runner twice as he tried to give me the dish twice lol, and he and our server discussed the mixup in front of us. Unfortunately, my note of our wedding anniversary in my reservation didn’t get acknowledged but the resort took care of us with complimentary dessert in our room upon arrival.
