This is a must-visit restaurant in the DC area.
Very attentive waiter. Saffron tea was wonderful at end of meal and we didn’t feel rushed
One of the best restaurants in all of DC. Consistently excellent food with terrific service at a reasonable price. The wait staff and management makes you feel like you are part of the family. I highly recommend Bistro Aracosia for your next meal.
One of the best meals I have ever eaten. Service was great. It’s going to be hard to beat.
We enjoy both Aracosia's locations on MacArthur Blvd and in McLean. The food is delicious, especially the appetizers like Mantu dumplings and aushak. The tasty entree portions are just the right size. The qabali pulow reminded the four of us of our days in Afghanistan in the 1970s. The chicken stew was a bit dry. The naan with 4 dipping sauces starts the meal. The service is friendly, efficient and accommodating. We requested inside seating after we arrived and were seated by a window. We certainly will return!
Great neighborhood spot. Excellent food and service.
Great service 🙂
It is some of the most authentic Afghani food you’ll find in the US. The appetizers, bread, etc. are outstanding though the main courses are hit or miss and not as good.
Always a delightful place for dinner. Staff is very accommodating and covid conscious
We think this establishment is amazing..we worked in the neighborhood almost 2 years ago and 2 years later it’s still amazing and delicious!!
The service was warm and inviting. Our meal was amazing. An excellent experience.
Best Afghani food I have ever had! Service was excellent!
Location of this restaurant is in the outskirts of D.C. .finding parking was relatively easy. The restaurant has a great selection of food and drinks. I had fun time celebrating my birthday there and would love to come back again.
A true gem! Delicious food and exceptional service.
Fantastic food, lots of vegetarian and vegan options but plenty of meat dishes too
Food was good but not out of this world. The waitstaff was not very good at explaining the menu to us nor did she ever check in on us
The restaurant is clean and quiet
I enjoyed the bread and sauce on the table as well as my lamb chops!
Excellent food and service! Very friendly staff and management. Thoughtful recommendations. We ate in the semi-enclosed outdoor dining area and it was very comfortable. We will be back for sure!!
Wonderful as always. Excellent food, pleasant staff, nice outdoor setting. Highly recommend it
Excellent all the way
Loved the lentil soup !
The food is exceptional!!! Everything we had was so delicious. The staff goes out of their way to be accommodating. The only shortcoming is the space. It needs some updating but it won’t stop us from going.
Amazing. Food was great, ambiance was nice. they did well with COVID precautions.
Great food, huge menu. Lamb chops were a bit tough, but wonderful flavor. Definitely would go back!
My first Afgan good experience and it was fantastic. Definitely coming back.
The best restaurant in DC in my view. The food is interesting, very good and they clearly appreciate the business.
Bistro Aracosia is a very nice place with very nice people. Jack has been very kind with us and has answered to all our questions!
Delicious pomegranate cosmo! Loved the social distancing measures and the heat lamps were superb. Great service, delicious food.
Wonderful restaurant and service!!! The food is consistently great with interesting choices.
Such a welcoming place! Their gracious attitude makes for a special time. The ambience of the outdoor dining was especially nice. The heaters kept us warm despite the cold evening. We ordered the chicken thighs and the vegetarian plate of Middle Eastern style mashed potatoes, greens, eggplant, and butternut squash. Everything was delicious. We can’t wait to enjoy again!
Excellent food and service. Lots of meat choices. Stews are amazing, as well as dumplings. Loved it
Chicken Lawan was fantastic!
This was a great place. Loved the food and the atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommended to anyone looking for delicious food to eat.
The food was amazing! The best lamb shank I’ve ever had! The baklava was also amazing! Also any wine lovers would love their wine selection!
My friend and I enjoyed dining outdoors at Aracosia, even though it was a wintry February evening.
The outdoor tables were well-arranged with heating lamps placed nearby. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We were celebrating a birthday, and Aracosia gave us a lovely treat of almond cake and two glasses of champagne for the occasion.
I would recommend Aracosia for outstanding Afghan food and attentive service.
Highly recommended - delicious food and great service! Definitely the best Afghan restaurant in DC
Both the food and ambiance are great.
Food was amazing. Great times. Moscow mules were wonderful too! Go enjoy!
Our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The most lovely staff, Jack and Omar are a great team and make everyone feel welcome. The food is outstanding! I could eat there every day and never get bored of the menu.
The cafe has good Afghan or modified Afghan food that is well prepared and very nicely presented. Mantu, bolanee, sabzi chalou; several types of korma and lamb shanks on pilau are just some of the dishes. You can get a good broad array of food by ordering he appetizers which double in larger portions as entrees. The service is good and the ambience is as good as can be expected at this time. We ate outside on the covered and heated veranda along the road so wind and road noise enter, of course. But now that the Mayor's restaurant restrictions have lifted, you can eat inside.
