Booked a table for a Friday afternoon for a few work colleagues. Bistro was dead, probably only a couple of other tables going. Server took forever to serve us, order was taken it took the best part of an hour to arrive, not ideal for a business lunch. Food was fine (cheesy cob good), price was fine.

The Laurel Hotel is a good place for a date. Had a great meal here on a Sunday night. Good service and quiet atmosphere. Food was quite nice. The creme brûlée was amazing😊

After many years of dining at the laurel we wer disappointed with the service in the night as the 2 waiting staff seemed to be trying hard but looked understaffed. Also the fried chicken burger ordered had barely 2 chicken nuggets in it and was definitely now what was described on the menu. And to be charged $26 for this portion is poor value for money. Otherwise the ambience was nice and the restaurant comfortable. Drinks orders took longer than would be expected. As there is a lot of competition out there I would say I would not return.

Enjoyed a recent catch up with friends at the Laurel. We ate in the Bistro and it was great to be able to be in a venue where we could actually hear each other speak! Service was prompt and our waitress was polite and responded knowledgeably when we asked questions about the menu. the menu itself is quite diverse with a range of options. We ate on a Thursday night and there was an option of a $14.95 parma, which several of us chose: what an enormous meal! All of us were pleased with our meals and we happily also shared desserts, even though we didn't really need them. Overall, we enjoyed both our meal and the evening and would return happily, especially as it is a venue suitable for catching up with friends.
