Bisou has a very nice atmosphere, tasteful, not trendy. The service is excellent, and the food is nicely plated and good. The customers were very diverse which adds a nice flare to the place. My wife, who is an outstanding cook, was very impressed by the quality of the food. She had the flounder, I had the shrimp and scallops.
We had a great experience. My wife and I sat at the bar and talk to the chef as he was making his rounds. Caught the happy hour it was a great value. The food was delicious!
My reservation was at 10. There was no valvet available and there was no greeter at the entry podium. I walked through he restaurant searching for someone to seat me. I found the greeter sitting at the bar talking with no urgency to greet me. I ordered a craft of the sangria but, was told that the bar doesn't start making sangria until around 12 noon and the items that I didn't order from the brunch menu (crab beignets, chicken, avocado, becon sandwich and french toast)were average at best.
The food was very good and fresh sushi. Service was good but my only problem was it was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation and the tables were not socially distanced. If you’re young and you like the Vegas atmosphere of crowded, loud and party scene this is your place. I felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave as on each side diners were 4ft away. It’s too bad as I liked the food but would only go back if I could sit outside.
Food was amazing. I knew this place was more like a club at night but I didn’t realize the bottle service with sparklers and flashing lights would start at 8pm lol. The service was really slow but not terrible. Overall loved it, would go back earlier in the day or more prepared for a party and not just dinner.
There was no concern for social distance requirements here. We sat outside. Every table was open. The next group to come in was seated directly behind us with our chairs almost touching. We asked to be moved. They moved us 2 tables down. Then the next group to come in was seated behind us again with our chairs almost touching! A minute later they seated 3 people at our original table & they got up and left.
Regarding the food- I had the eggs Benedict and it was very bland. I was disappointed all the way around.
loved it! food was great. I would totally go back again!
Small brunch menu. Food was good, but not great.
Tried (one sip each) two drinks from the brunch cocktail menu, and I did not like either of them at all. Third time's a charm - I ended up just asking for a regular old fashioned, which I did enjoy.
Waiter was either too present or not to be found. No in between.
We were only one of a couple of other occupied tables. (Pretty empty, for a Saturday brunch.)
Ambiance was nice and pretty, but it was uncomfortably warm! My whole table was literally sweating, and we asked for the air to be turned on/down, but I dont think it ever was. A woman at a table near us actually started fanning herself with a paper fan!
We wanted to try this place, so we did.
Experience was just "okay" at best for us.
Dont think it's worth a return visit.
We had not so pleasant experience this time. We had dinner with my friends, food was great and server was nice. Then we decided to get the check, paid out but decided to stay some more. Manager was trying to say we need to leave since we paid out and was very rude about it. “I can do whatever i want”, he said. Well good luck with that attitude. Eventually this was resolved but you just don’t treat guests like that in a “upscale” restaurant/bar. Bad customer service.
Great Dance Music and nice Patio.
The Tuna Tartar and Ceviche was good. Shrimp and Grits dish was cold and lacked seasoning. We were on the patio and had to ask for the waitress a couple of times.
Would probably not go back again? Too many other restaurants to explore.
The steak was very chewy and dry
The restaurant is very beautiful and has a nice aesthetic. My boyfriend and I went on Valentine's Day and we were not very fond of the mandatory Valentine's Day menu. We will return soon to try the regular brunch menu. The mimosas were great.
Great food and service, despite the Valentines Day rush. Truly surpirising.
On Valentines Day there was only the option of the selected Valentines menu which was not kid appropriate. They did not even offer their brunch menu which I thought was kind of crazy.
Great dinner experience the prime rib is to die for
We decided to have a nice dinner outing and it was a great night but the tables were definitely not social distance. I was very uncomfortable.
Good table, food was ok. Expensive drinks
Took my daughter on a Valentine’s Day date and she fell in LOVE with BISOU! From the ambiance, food, restrooms to the sassy wall art she absolutely loved it here! David was an awesome server who never forgot anything!
I have never sat so close to another dining group, forget social distancing at this restaurant, it does not exist.
Celebrated a birthday there and the staff were extremely fun and helpful. Recommend Bisou for a special occasion dinner or just a nice dining experience overall. Thank you!
Everyone is always very friendly and great service!
My duck was amazing and my Server was awesome! Made it worth coming for my birthday. Suggested a really good sake! The only thing I didn’t enjoy was how dark it was inside I understand setting the mood but a little bit more light would’ve done the trick.
They overbooked and wanted to sit us in the idle of an ice vet crowded section. The birthday celebration I had planned was ruined. To ensure we were socially distancing we had to sit at the bar and the bar has a 2 hour limit at the bar.
The pace is cute but it’s at the bottom of my list of places to celebrate.
Just a fantastic venue for night out. Great ambiance and fantastic service.
Staff was very accommodating. It was super easy to make a reservation. Nice crowd.
Awful experience. Firstly, they don’t respect reservations. I made a reservation a week in advance I called and spoke with staff two days before to confirm and add a person to my party. They never updated in the system. A packed restaurant sat a party of 7 at a table meant for 4 people. Chairs are back to back with the table next to us. Voiced concern to the two hostesses they were no help at accommodating basically said they would pull the table down (in front of a door to go to the patio) and give us an additional chair. At this point we have been here for an hour trying get a more comfortable table. The manager Mike did NOTHING no apologies no accommodating nothing just had a smug attitude. Just kept saying it’s nothing he can do because they are over booked. Why are you over booked during A PANDEMIC. The tables were not socially distanced which we brought to his attention several times. He proceeds to clean off a table and sit four other guest instead of pushing that table with ours so we could be comfortable. Then tries to hustle us to pay for a 9:30 pm “reserved table” when their policy clearly says for parties 8 or larger must minimum $75 a person. So we can pay for this table that’s supposedly reserved and move there now or don’t pay stay at our current table. Absolutely ridiculous, rude, and not the treatment you should be getting as a paying patron. We left and went next door to Ouzu Bay and had a way better experience. I will NEVER come back here. I’m was completely sickened by the lack of customer service and COVID19 precautions being taking at the establishment. Spend your money elsewhere.
The food and ambiance was 5 stars!! Service was really slow and inconsistent. Overall great place to meet up with friends or a date.
We have to
Wait for our table because it was bussy . So I wasn’t happy
Restaurant was packed zero consideration for social distance past 8pm the opened tables next to us (literally next to us) were filled as the night went on (our reservation was at 6:30)
The food is ok, but comparing this restaurant with the others in river oaks is bad; the waiter disappeared once he took the order and when the manager asked us about the experience he said” thanks for the opportunity”
So to be fair this restaurant is ok if you don’t have any other place to go, but if you can skip it or go just to make your own review.
This place was awesome. I came a bit early before the evening rush, which gave me and my dinner date the chance to talk at ease without having to shout over loud music or background chatter. We also had an amazing server, Rinner, who was very attentive and anticipated all of our needs. My only complaints were that the risotto was too salty and the parmesan truffle frittes were not very flavorful. However the perfectly cooked lambchops, duck, dumplings, mac n cheese, decadent desserts, and my tasty mocktail made up for this. All in all, I'd like to go back again.
So I've been here quite a few times over the past couple of years, mostly because I live in the apartments above and its convenient along with the other restaurants in the District, however i have not been inside since COVID. The food is usually great and the drinks good (when everything doesn't take forever) but the service is usually terrible. But that is not what this review is about. I've tried to go and sit on the patio a few times since the reopening and unless its a Tuesday evening or you're going to be done before 6:30/7 do not even try unless you want Covid, even the patio is jam packed.
Today it was announced on the news that the owners "The Cle Group" has had their liquor licence suspended at two of their other properties. 90 days for Spire (2 previous suspensions) and 60 days for Cle (only one previous suspension. In addition Bisou once had their license suspended for 30 days, I found this out when my roommate and i wandered down for cocktails on the patio and we were told without any explanation that they were "not serving alcohol tonight", we then walked across the street to ouzo bay for drinks and a quick google search led me to the TABC website and the status of their liquor license. Imagine my surprise when less than a week later they were back up and running with crowds so packed you couldn't move inside and a line out the door! Wonder who they paid off for that to happen!
Long story short don't spend your money here, the owners are that special type that thinks they're better than everyone else and the rules don't apply to them.
Outstanding food. The brunch was a great value as well.
The decour is trying to do too much, but can appreciate the marble tables.
Probably need a better drink menu. It’s sunday morning not everyone is trying to buy a $600 bottle after a night out.
Social distancing was non existent. The food was okay! It wasn’t worth it
Thursday was awesome, not too much crowd. But Friday was too packed and the sitting arrangement was too close for my liking, Covid et-all.
The shrimp and grits is very bland and has absolutely no flavor. I took one bite added the bbq sauce and took another bite. I didn’t ask for my money back because I hate doing that. But I did return my full plate. My cousin ate the hangover which was absolutely amazing!!! The waiter was awful! The hostess was really nice! The saxophonist was exceptional!
Great ambiance and delicious food. The saxophonist was a really nice touch. Went for brunch and most definitely will to return to try dinner.
Our waiter Trevor was AMAZING!! Very accommodating and friendly and because of that reason and the quality of food we’ll def be visiting again :)

Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting reservations at the moment.
