I made reservations on line for 2 people they put me and my friend at a tiny table on top of other people I asked to move to a larger table right next to it and I was told it was reserved. No way sat at the larger table the whole time we were there. I spoke with the manager and told him my brother is one of the investors and wanted a larger table he said I should have mentioned that when I reserved table on line. Where do you do that. Won’t be coming back Plus the Bloody Mary was soooo expense for the size you serve. Food was Ok. Muffins were tiny for the price. Over all I won’t recommend to anyone.
My husband and I were having a great time, but I ordered the scallops and shrimp and later became very ill. He had the Korean short rib and was fine, but I would be wary ordering fish or seafood again.
I would recommend this restaurant to everyone great food
Too loud music after 9pm
Great fun, great ambiance, service was great and the staff was very good.
The food was barely mediocre, the steak came out cool.
Atmosphere is beautiful. Lunch crowd is "tamer." Dinner crowd is on the cheesy side. Lots of young girls scantily dressed with implants popping out of their cocktail dresses. Some things such as fish and appetizers were cooked perfectly, while meats were tough and overdone. Will return for lunch, but it is too much of a pick up scene for want-a-be's in the evenings.
Had been for brunch and late night drinks on previous visits but never for dinner. Had a good time with my date and all the waiter/waitresses as well as management staff was really nice. Great date spot on a Friday night. My third visit... 3 for 3!
Went for the first time with my boyfriend for Valentine's dinner. There was a prix fixe 3 course menu plus dessert. I had foie gras, lobster bisque and tuna with wasabi potatoes. The food was cooked perfectly and delicious. Cocktails were fun and tasty. We sat outside because it was too loud inside with the DJ, and lots of people were standing around by the bar. It was more like a nightclub than a restaurant. Interesting concept but not really what we were looking for in a Valentine's meal. The wait staff was nice and did their best but didn't seem all that well trained for upscale dining.
We came for Valentine’s Day not realizing it was going to be a prix fixe menu. It ended up being a great deal @ $75 pp for 4 courses, but I was disappointed that nothing on the V-Day menu was offered on their regular menu. I wasn’t thrilled with my food (foie Gras with Fig Compote not my favorite pairing; butternut squash crab stuffed shrimp came out battered / fried, which should have been specified in the description and I wouldn’t have ordered), but I tasted my husband’s selections and liked them much better (truffle risotto, crab bisque and seared Tuna with seaweed salad). I would go back to try the regular menu, but am in no rush to do so given the many other restaurant options in Houston. I also did not like the atmosphere...felt manufactured to be clubby and a scene. They had these neon flashing lights they would turn on whenever someone ordered a bottle of champagne and the waitresses would march out with more lights to deliver the bottle. There was also a DJ and the music was loud. Not to sound stuffy and boring, but it just didn’t work for us...it felt silly and forced, and didn’t fit what I’d expect from a restaurant catering to a Valentine’s Day clientele.
We loved alllll the food. Wonderful!
Perfect Valentine Day lunch
I had been once before and it was great. But this last time I was told the menu wasn’t accurate so what I had ordered wasn’t available. The service was good. The drinks were overpriced for what I had, glass wasn’t even full, and the glad was small to start with.
We had a wonderful lunch yesterday for my friend’s Birthday.
We had a table d’hote 3 course lunch- the special of the day.
Delicious pate, chicken and delicious dessert.
We loved it
Second times.. Great place for an old man to live again.
So loud, couldn’t have a conversation, otherwise great!
This restaurant really is not so much a place to eat as a nightclub that happens to serve food. The people there seem more interested in being seen than in the quality of the food and everything the restaurant does is about spectacle. It is absurdly loud and the tables are literally about an inch away from each other so you really cannot have a conversation. Both my pork belly and ribeye were quite average although the dumplings were quite good. Add to that the crazily overflowing bar which means that people are literally backing up to and leaning on your table while you are trying to eat makes for a very difficult evening.
If you want to go to a meat market and people watch then this is the place for you but if you are looking for a good meal with reasonable ambience I recommend you go elsewhere.
Like a douchey club for old, rich, white women. Food was good. Drinks were fine.
Tables too close together. Way too loud.
The hostesses were not professional. We made reservations one week in advance and were given the worst table. We had to complain several times before getting seated and then were told we had to leave at 9:00 pm. Other than that food and music was amazing!
It was our anniversary , but even though I have spend 600$, we did not get a dessert on the house as in many other places , also my reservation requested a high table at the bar window and they only were able to get us a table in the middle of the bar.
Great food, lively atmosphere, fantastic and fun sparklers and champagne presentation. Fantastic for ladies nights out
Great food and ambiance, could be better service. But overall excellent
Service was very slow. The avocado toast was good but the portion was small for the price. The saxophonist accompanying the DJ was cheesy and out-of-place. The champagne offerings are disappointingly limited.
The atmosphere and music remind me of many restaurants in New York. And like NY we waited one hour for a table we had reservations for. Unfortunately attitude of staff and bartenders are horrible. I witnessed a bartender belittle a guest who didn’t like her drink and another bartender who yelled at the top of his lungs to a guest to “stop yelling at me” when you literally have to yell to speak and he had just told her “i can’t hear you” You have to yell to keep a conversation. Food wise it was okay. There are better options. If you have never experienced restaurants like this in other major cities then try it out. But get ready for subpar service.
Very nice and trendy venue with loud everything. It would appeal to some people out for an energetic evening. Impressive that they kept a very good food quality standard.
Great food but surprising ambiance - very much like a high end club with a restaurant in it! Food was great, amazing people watching - just not a place for a quiet dinner! Beautiful interiors, valet parking a bit tricky!
It was amaze. LIT (literally insane time). We celebrated our seven year anniversary there !!
Our waiter Selena seemed overwhelmed. She brought water and never asked me if I wanted to drink anything else. In fact, she never offered the drink menu, I had to ask for it.
The music is entirely too loud to engage in meaningful conversation. Is Bisou a restaurant or club? Also, the seating is way too crowded, felt like sardines crammed together. Overall, a very underwhelming first experience. I’ll stick with Steak48 or Le Colonial when I’m in the area.
Exellent In all the way ! Good service food amazing .
Food was good but in competition with some of the great restaurants in Houston, it came short.
How is it possible that the service got worse, eggs were over cooked (solid yokes), poblano sauce was cold....Valet a joke.....however, I love the vibe and decor
Food, beverages and people watching were excellent. Volume was over the top which seems to be what attracted the people to watch.
Loud and trendy. See and be seen.
Beautiful restaurant. It’s a shame that the food and service were both mediocre. I was taken there for my birthday lunch and we were very disappointed. The restaurant was empty and our waiter seemed very disinterested. Don’t think this place will last.
The salmon dish was below average to average; the cappuccino was good
Everything was fine However they served our parties dinner while I was still eating my appetizer... thought this was extremely disappointing!! It was noted by staff but nothing was done to rectify it.
This place is wayyyyyyyyyy overpriced for the quality. I do not mind dropping some money on a nice meal (even if it means part of that is for the atmosphere/upscale environment), but the quality of food just doesn't match. Two other friends and I ordered different items to share, one of which was the short rib. I was not impressed. I had to saw through the short rib with my knife. I complained, so it was taken off the ticket. We also ordered the filet mignon. It was pretty good - granted, if I'm being honest, it was slightly overcooked for a requested medium rare - only problem is that you can get a significantly better steak for the price of $45, if not for cheaper! Hell, I've had a better steak at Salt Grass. Also, the cocktails were atrocious. They just tasted of straight alcohol, and the price is on the higher end - about $16 each. I will likely try this place for brunch to see if it can handle that; however, I certainly will never dine here again for dinner. Such a disappointment.
The decor is stunning with silver/chrome sparkling table and chairs.
We sat in a booth with a lovely flower arrangement.
My avocado toast/arugula salad was beautiful and delicious.
Very quiet for lunch. We'll be back for dinner soon!
The atmosphere is spot on! Perfect amount of light and upbeat music. The decor is gorgeous. The food was average, I was expecting more. We also went at brunch so the menu was limited. Cocktails were tasty though!
