Birk's has very consistent food quality and service so I am never afraid to take a customer there for a good dinner. The server was especially attentive and professional which is much appreciated and indeed a huge plus for this restaurant. Unfortunately it tends to be a bit on the noisy side; not sure what you can do about that but it can hinder some communication. The food was good - perhaps the filet could have been a little more flavorful and the appetizers, while fine, weren't really memorable. Great values on the wine list!
Very nice steakhouse with extensive choices in food and beverage. Felt like I was in a really nice NYC steakhouse.
David was an exceptional waiter as usual. Always friendly and accommodating. This is my wife and I’d go-to date night spot.
We celebrated my husbands birthday. I appreciate the great service and the food is always the best. We look forward in visiting Birk's once again...always a treat!
We had to wait longer than I would have expected with a reservation and being on time. When we were seated, at a table with a banquette against an outer window, I was glad to have a cape on since there was a terrible draft on my back coming from the window which had no window covering. I had to keep the cape on for the duration of the meal. The food was of a good standard, however, the prime rib had an herbed pepper crust on the outside which overpowered the meat for my husband and son. This is more a preference issue. My seabass was excellent, as was the calamari starter, and creme brulee which we all shared (best creme brulee I've ever had, light sugar crust and creamy custard.) Service was slow. Took the server a while to come around for our drink order, she brought our drinks after a longer wait, but then ran away before asking if we were ready to place our order, which we WERE due to the wait for the drinks. My son finally had to flag her down to place our dinner order. At a higher priced restaurant such as Birk's, I expected service to be better paced.
Great food and service. Best pork chops ever! Can't wait to go again.
The steaks were good, but I expected more flavor for the price point. Our sides were excellent, actually taking the spotlight from our main courses.
We had great and attentive service from our waiter. The hostess, on the other hand... We walked in and she was on her phone so I had to get her attention. I let her know that I had a reservation and she told me to give her a minute and walked away. Another host came over and asked if I was helped and I said I'm not sure? So he seated us right away.
Very tasty food but everyone had an indigestion after coming back home ...
There was something in the food that made us puke or occupy the bathroom for a long time ...
We've been at Birk's before and they were totally fine, but now they were busy with Valentine's day orders, so they probably compromised the quality to get the quantity.
I'd rate them as usually good but inconsistent.
Neither trusted nor recommended anymore, since getting good food is a matter of luck.
Date night with my wife
Mary our Chef came to our table & explained the menu. We felt very special celebrating our belated Valentine’s with our family. Thank you Mary 💕
Great restaurant for business dinner. Made reservation Friday afternoon for Friday evening 4 people. Wood smoked prime rib has excellent flavor.
Bone-in rib eye!
Valentine’s Day was hectic but the food and service was amazing, I’d go again.
Ordered the lobster tail, a la carte. The tail was a large which I was very happy about. My meal was ruined in the first bite. It was not listed on the menu nor told to me when I ordered that the lobster had a spicy creole type spices covering the top. It was so spicy I could feel it burn all the way into my stomach.
I attempted to wipe the spice off but it didn’t help. Adding lemon and melted butter was also a waste. The flavor of the lobster was killed by this terrible spice. I was so disappointed to let a beautiful piece of lobster go to waste. Lobster should be kept clean and pure.
I won’t go back again. If they screw up lobster I don’t have much faith in the rest of the menu.
Our fave place to eat! Was super busy cause of Valentine’s Day but still great. Reservations are a must on a holiday and on days like that be prepared for a louder experience and some obnoxious people who would normally not be there
Birk's never disappoints...i tried the Asian flank steak salad for the first time and it was a perfect lunch.
Our servers were great. Steaks were kind of tough but they were well cooked dessert very tasteful
The staff was amazing, like a well oil machine. Food was well presented and was delicious.
Waiter was highly professional and very friendly. Food was excellent. Great atmosphere.
Amazing server, amazing food, best calamari I’ve ever had. Same for the creamed spinach. Filet cooked to perfection. Just wish it wasn’t so loud though.
Birk's never disappoints me when I introduce some new to it. Love it - won't miss it!
I hadn't been to Birk's for awhile due to the opening of a number of new restaurants at Santa Clara Square, on the other side of route 101. So, when thinking of a place to take a colleague from Southern California, I remembered Birk's. It did not disappoint me - it still has good food and a lively atmosphere. It can be a bit noisy so if you want a quiet dinner, get something in the back. The service was good, the drinks strong and the seafood pasta was very good. Great place for a business get together or a place to hang out at the bar to socialize.
Ran a little late but still made lunch. Birds was very accommodating
Overall the food and the experience was great, the only minor complaint was that the table was not ready when we got there (it was quite crowded). We told the host we would get a drink at the bar (nice wines and cocktails), but the host didn't come looking for us when the table was ready. We had to ask for ourselves.
But in the end, full redemption with the food and drinks - we shared a pasta paella and oysters. We had started off with a pinot gris and a rose at the bar and them had their "blood and sand" and guava mai tai cocktails which were really yummy. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and they got us a yummy cheesecake on the house!
We hosted a client to dinner at Birk's and loved the wine, cocktail, and food menu and wide variety of options. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was outstanding, professional, and knowledgeable. Would DEFINITELY go again!
I used to go here every couple of months when I worked in the area (and had vendors taking me to lunch or dinner). It'd been four years since my last visit, but my honey wanted something different from our usual grinds.
The food was excellent, as I'd remembered, and service was quick and attentive but not cloying or interfering with our dining experience. Cocktails were good, sides were good, steaks were great and cooked as ordered.
We'd definitely go back.
Made reservations and arrived on time. We were promptly seated in the bar area in a very narrow table (for 3 big guys), even though half the place was still empty. The service was good and the food was outstanding, but once the place started to get busy the noise level was just too high. It seemed people were screaming at each other not having conversations. Will return for the food, but if the only available seating is the bar area will not hesitate to walk out!
Another awesome experience! Great food, great service.
Everything about Birk's in impressive. I come here often for work lunches. Everyone always complements their meal. The staff is always friendly!!!!
Everything was nice. Food was prepared nicely. Just not anything to write home about for the price and atmosphere. Steak was well cooked but somewhat lacking in flavor. Maybe not enough marbling? Need a higher quality piece of meat? Vegetables were bland and lacking seasoning. Roasted Brussel Sprouts could have used a drizzle of good Balsamic or something to help them stand out a bit better.
an excellent meal as always. Everything was top notch. There is one critism, however and it is a big take-a way for me. It was the paper place mats. In the past it has always been linen. When I plan on spending multiple hundreds of dollars on a meal a paper place mat just doesn't cut it. I look at the little things and this was a disappointment for me. Other than that one thing, however, the place is great, meal was great and service was attentive.
The Executive Lunch is always a favorite. I actually switched up my standard order had a BLT with Filet Mignon. The salad is huge and the filet was cooked perfectly. It was flavorful and tender. We started with the fried calamari appetizer and ended with their banana bread pudding. Both were fabulous. This is a great spot for a business lunch.
Birk's never disappoints. Spectacular service from front door onward. I'll keep coming back.
Always a great meal.
As usual, Birk servers good food, even the price is on high end, but the price is for the high end ingredients and good service.
The service was excellent and the food delicious. Unfortunate it was very busy and very noisy. We were seated next to a kitchen door so even after patrons left the kitchen crew energetically cleaned up. Since it was a business meeting I was unhappy that conversation was so difficult.
The surf and turf was amazing. Filet cooked perfect medium and the lobster was tasty.
One of the very best prime rib dinners I have ever had. Outstanding!
Love everything at Birk’s!!
