Love the atmosphere of this place with the exposed brick walls and bar. Biricchino's was authentic and intimate so definitely make reservations as I'm sure it fills up fast! I appreciated the complimentary bread and pitcher of water on the table. My sister and I each had the Manicotti, my grandparents each had the Rigatoni, and my aunt had the steak - all were very good. We each got a separate dessert and they were delicious - definitely save room for them! Our server was polite and memorized everything we ordered. We never felt rushed and really enjoyed our time there! Definitely would dine there again.
Second time eating here with friends. Noise level depends on which room you are in. The main dining area is much noisier but we were at a back table where we were able to hear each other talk. It was a tight fit though for four older women but we made it work.
Food was just as delicious as the first time which is why I returned. Hope to be in the side room next time I dine there.
Always enjoy stopping in for some wine and well made, portioned delicacies! The home made sausages are a wonderful appetizer, and whatever is chosen as the main course is always well prepared and delicious. Looking forward to my next visit.
Delicious cuisine, great service. NYC Prices, of course.
Nice restaurant but expensive. All NYC restaurants always expensive.
Cute little place with good food. Our particular server wasn’t very friendly or attentive, but we had a nice night nonetheless.
It was special. From the greeting to the server to the food. It was outstanding overall. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Decent food at decent prices and nice for a business lunch.
Close to Madison Square Garden
While the space was nice, the food and service were underwhelming. The portions were small, leaving us contemplating making a stop at the pizza spot across the street as we left.
Great first night in NYC dinner. We stopped over via Penn Station and it was nice to have a place to store luggage. The food was fresh and delicious, service was excellent, and we enjoyed the homey atmosphere. We felt welcomed and left well fed!
Excellent food and very good service. It is hard to find a good restaurant around Madison Square Garden so this was really a pleasant surprise. We will definitely go again when we are in that area.
This was our second dining experience at Biricchino as we were attending a concert at MSG. Food was excellent and they served us in plenty of time without rushing us to get to our event. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to dine in this vicinity. Our friends were impressed!
very good place to dine. food was outstanding - Angela was a very good server - made some very good recommendations - recommend this place for dining with friends and family!
Great spot pre-show for Garden events. Very good food, prompt service, reasonably priced.
New York Rangers game
Always a pleasure. No better place near Penn Station
Maybe a one-off, but not as good last week as it has been for years. The Malfatti is now beef (not veal) and suffers for it. We were in our seats for an hour before our entrees arrived (we did have the sausage appetizers, which were very good, but a long wait for dinner). The pasta was undercooked and the waiter had a smug insincerity about him. We left with a longing for the good old days.
Great experience, local Italian restaurant with incredible menu items had grilled octopus, rigatoni, wild boar meatballs with pasta and short ribs. All awesome
Biricchino's is a reliable restaurant. Delicious and well-prepared food. The home-made sausage is always a crowd pleaser and it is helpful when the wait staff explains the contains of each sausage. The butternut squash in a sage butter was delicious and a decent portion. A colleague who ordered the chicken piccata was very pleased. Another colleague, who doesn't like "spicey" was able to get a few changes made and was happy with the result. The wait is helpful but one-person has a hard time being proactive with a full room. The noise is high and it would be great if they had a round table or two. However, Biricchinio's is always on my short-list for restaurants in Chelsea.
High quality Italian cuisine with friendly, professional service
We picked this restaurant because of its close proximity to MSG. Only two blocks away, it was a quick walk back and forth. The atmosphere is charming, with brick walls and tin ceiling tiles.
The wait staff told us the sausage & salamis are made on premise, so of course we had to try both. Delish!
The staff was very attentive, asking if we were attending the concert so they could keep our visit timely.
A definite treat- so glad I found this gem!
Consistently a FANTASTIC meal. Service and food impeccable. Get the dirty Martini! EAT at this restaurant.
Went here before a concert at MSG.
The octopus is great! Sit at the bar for good drinks and wine and a fun time!
The waitress was patient and timely. She was also completely ready to serve us! The menu had homemade pasta and salad and the food was delicious. I had the polenta and beef brisket special and the Caesar salad.
Quaint restaurant with exceptional service and food! Highly recommend!
Good food and service. Convenient location. Good atmosphere.
Staff always friendly Food fresh and delicious love the specials best Ravioli anywhere
Nice looking place with a solid menu, but the service was subpar and the food was just not that good. We ordered the house made sausages, and a few had really odd and terrible flavors. The chicken milanese had literally no flavor. I had to borrow the left over sauce from my dad's manicotti (which was good enough -- not great) to give it some kind of flavor. I won't be returning here.
Outstanding meal and experience. Highly recommendable
Excellent. Delish. Not our first time - never disappoints.
The staff here is exceptionally nice and understanding. The food is really good. I plan to come back.
Our waiter was surly at best. Second issue, much bigger issue, was I had a hair in my meal. So they replaced the meal and didn't charge me. But the damage was already done. I didn't have anymore appetite. Wondering why they don't wear hairnets firstly. And secondly, why would the waiter act this way? Not impressed.
We enjoyed our meal. Had the sausage app, chicken piccata and meat ravioli. Good place right around MSG. Will be back.
Excellent food service and atmosphere. A little close and loud but didn’t distract from an excellent meal!
Everything was fantastic from the greeting to the end!!!!!
Nice quiet lunch atmosphere. Really love the pastas and salads here. Have gone for years, but never for lunch. Wish there were a few sandwich or lighter options, as it's the same as the dinner menu. Server was great, very hospitable.
on our visit to NYC, I wanted to bring my family to an intimate NYC Italian restaurant. Biricchino's was the perfect place. Mathew, our waiter, took very good care of us, the food and wine was outstanding. It was exactly what we were looking for.
We eat here before going to Madison Square Garden, so this was a good choice to meet my sister and brother in law for dinner with my wife. It’s a two minute walk from Penn Station, and has good Italian food and a good menu at fair prices.
