   Nice ambiance, very nice wait staff, but the food seemed a little off today. Wilted salads and lukewarm proteins. Hopefully this was just an off day…

   Fish tacos were enjoyed by others in my group. Cajun chicken sandwich must’ve been assembled cold because the slice of cheese within the sandwich wasn’t even slightly melted - still cold on the sandwich long after it arrived to the table. Side Caesar salad was good…Coffee was not good, and I’m not particular about my coffee….

   Great place. We sat on the patio, which is dog friendly, so was able to bring our dog. We went for brunch. The Hippie hash was good but a bit soggy due to the Brussel sprouts. The chilaquiles, was good, just not hot enough (temperature wise). Otherwise, great place.

   Disappointed — What Happened to the Birdies We Loved? We came to Birdies for a special Mother’s Day brunch — a group of 9 moms celebrating early. We chose this place because we had a fantastic experience last year. Unfortunately, this time was a disaster. Water refills? Nonexistent. Service? Below expectations. But the worst part: the bill. We came specifically because of the 50% off prosecco during brunch. Five of us shared 3 bottles — which should’ve been $76.50 in total. One friend left early and secretly paid a full $51 for one bottle. When the rest of us asked for our checks, we were shocked — some were being charged $34, others $17 — and one didn’t even drink! When we kindly asked for the bill to be corrected, the server responded with aggression, lacked professionalism, and gaslighted us into thinking we were wrong. In the end, she claimed she wouldn’t charge us for the prosecco (which was mostly already paid!) — but based on the math, she was trying to charge us $185 for what should have been $76.50. Extremely disappointing. I was the one who booked the reservation and encouraged the group to come back. What a letdown.

    Wanted a quick dinner on our actual 8th Anniversary. Reservation was easy, under special requests, asked for and was seated in a booth. The Unholy Guacamole was delish, the new Ahi Tuna Ceviche with prawns tasty with a jalapeno/habanero zing. They had a very nice card congratulations on our anniversary as well.
