The service and ambience was great at bird dog. Cocktails were terrific as well. Unfortunately the meal’s were very sub par. Charcuterie board was pretty basic for $45 bucks(mostly rocket lettuce ) , compared to what we get at Sabor or other places. Steak was on the colder side and pasta’s was lacking flavour. Great place for a cocktail and a snack.

We didn’t actually stay for dinner. The website menu was completely different from their actual menu they are serving now and there wasn’t anything we wanted to try on their new menu. We had been looking forward to trying a number of the shareable dishes we saw on the websites menu. So we were quite disappointed to discover that the menu on line is not in fact the restaurants menu. We had a quick drink, which was good, and then went down the street to a different restaurant. As well, open table stated happy hour daily from 3-5pm but that’s not the case. No happy hour on the weekends. Just not at all what was advertised so we were quite disappointed.

Very standard food. Order a medium rare steak and frite and it was rare. Server was attentive. Cost of food was affordable, nothing was outstanding.

Was disappointed they’ve separated from century hospitality and cut their menu in half . Food was way better before my pasta was very very average and the pizza was similar

Made a reservation for a two top to celebrate a birthday, requesting a booth. No booth and no mention of a happy birthday (why ask when making the reservation then?). I didn’t realize when booking the oilers were playing and that they would be playing the game, it was so beyond loud in there you couldn’t hear the other person talk, we couldn’t even hear our server and I believe she used that as an excuse to stand on her phone by the bar all night. Our food only got checked on once it got brought to our table, no ask for drink refills, nothing until we asked for the bill. I asked for my steak medium, it came out very rare and that never got mentioned due to poor service. I was very disappointed when I picked the place based on their menus they have on their website to find out when I got there, those aren’t the correct menus and the one they give you is 1/5 of the size. There was a large group who was playing what felt like musical chairs and kept moving from booths to the back room and it didn’t seem like staff cared to make sure other patrons were being respectful to others. Overall the place came highly recommended and while it wasn’t the worst experience I’ve had, we wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or come back again.

Service was not friendly or fast for how dead it was. We asked about specials and they said they had none. We inquired further as the website said they had buck a shuck on oysters and 10 dollar cocktails . The waitress said that they were under new management and they no longer have these specials. Despite the website still advertising them. They did honour the buck a shuck oysters but didn’t extend that to the cocktails. The oysters were not shucked properly and had multiple shell pieces in the oysters. The deviled eggs were just boiled eggs with maybe mayo on top of liquid yolk. The bone marrow steak tartare was served on a hallowed out bone sans bone marrow. Brussel sprouts were dope though. When clearing the table the server spilled a little water from the oysters on our friends cross body bag and then after acknowledging it, continued with clearing the table and spilt a bunch more of the water all over our friends leg. She did apologize again but should’ve just cleared that in the first place before continuing to clear the rest of the table. We booked this reservation for our friend’s birthday because it was advertised with the specials but also live music on Thursday night which there was no live music. On the reservation we did also put that we are coming for a birthday. Overall it was a very poor experience, if the place is under new management it’s important to at least update the website. And when booking the reservation on OpenTable it was still advertised as Live Thursday with all the specials mentioned above. Very disappointed we picked Birdog to celebrate our friends birthday but I guess the yolks on us.

Doors were locked and the restaurant was closed. $80 in Ubers down the drain, not to mention a very disappointed wife. Will never be back or recommend.
