Bird Land Ginza is a grilled chicken restaurant awarded one star by Michelin in 2010, the first star-holder of its kind. You may enjoy yakitori of the finest quality Okukuji Shamo Chicken. Had high expectations but was left disappointed. I've had better yakitori in Hong Kong's Yardbird and random street yakitori places around Japan. The yakitori in Bird Land lacked seasoning and some were served still raw on the inside (while I am unsure if this is traditionally done this way, it was not flavorful at any rate). The highlights were surprisingly the grilled cheese and the tomato salad (but see my note below). Also noted some sanitary red flags during our dinner: (1) One of the chefs working on the skewers poked his finger with a skewer at least twice. He seemed to be bleeding, as he squeezed his finger and wiped it with some towels. He proceeded to work on the skewers without washing or wrapping his finger. (2) My companion's salad had a live insect, which we returned (but only after she had a few bites). The staff was apologetic and replaced her salad. Nonetheless, this is unacceptable from a starred restaurant.

Fantastic restaurant with friendly service. Opted for the full course experience which was great value and appreciated the creative uses of different meat cuts. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the courses being prepared over the BBQ, was an overall great experience!

Hands-down, the best yakatori we have ever had. Also one of our favorite meals while in Japan. It is great to sit at the bar and watch all the chefs in action. We got the largest meal you could get with multiple side dishes and several skewers. If we ever go back to Tokyo, we will definitely visit again!

I wish we didn’t have to order a set menu. Some of the choices are…”adventurous”. They did let us exclude a few items, but even so, some of it just wasn’t for me. I’m sure for others it is worth it, but so much of the food in Tokyo was cheap and delicious, that I’m not sure the value is there, even with the Michelin Star.

Terrific experience. We had a group of 6. We were running late but they held our table. We were greeted by one of the staff and he and his team took care of us from beginning to end. He recommended the cheaper omakase options and our three generational family all enjoyed it immensely. The food was delicious, needless to say! But the awesome, caring service made this a super experience. Please do go and support them.

This was our third time at Birdland Ginza. Since we discovered it, we go there every time we are in Tokyo. Always love the food. Do not miss the flan (creme caramel) as desert. Probably the best you have ever had.

When they say they use all the chicken, they use ALL the chicken. We tried various parts that I haven't eaten before but were all cooked to perfection. I had the the 8,000 yen meal and my boyfriend the 10,000. I was still stuffed by the end. Lots of little courses. If you're a picky eater I don't recommend but if you go in with am open mind you'll love it.

I had a great experience dining at this Michelin restaurant in Ginza subway station. The yakitori was delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was chill, but the location can be hard to find - don't rely entirely on Google maps as it’s located underground on B1. Overall, recommended for a tasty yakitori experience in Tokyo.

Yikes. Wouldn’t try again. Our fault, but the only menu item was chicken skewers and one of them was raw. Also super hard to find. Decently friendly to English speakers.

Perhaps had expectations that were too high, given the Star, but this didn't meet even a regular yakitori restaurant in Tokyo. Staff was congenial but the limited menu and sad sad Tsukune (without a Yolk) resulted in these marks.

A great experience for two American tourists, recommended by a chef friend. Could not have been better. We sat at the bar, had outstanding service, and it was fun to watch the cooks grilling the food. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

最高に美味しく楽しい食事でした。焼鳥は焼き具合も絶妙でもちろん鳥自体も美味しかったです。焼鳥だけでなくお料理、〆の親子丼、デザートまで美味しかったです。ドリンクはビール、ワイン、日本酒と全て満足でした。雰囲気も良く、お店の方々の接客も良く、満点のお店でした。おすすめしたいです。

すごく期待しての来店だったせいか、値段の割にという感じ。もちろん、おいしいのですが、場所代など料理以外の面でのコストがかかり値段もあがってしまっているのかなと思いました。カワはとてもおいしく、何本も食べたいと思いました。

彼女と2人でカウンターを利用しました。8400円のコースでしたが、金額以上の価値を感じました。中でもレバーのパテと串焼きの中のレバーは秀逸。奥久慈軍鶏の素性の良さを感じさせました。 18時からの予約でしたが、お店は徐々に活気に溢れてきました。スタッフの間の連携の良さも感じられ、心地いい時間を過ごすことができました。

洋服に匂いがつくことなく綺麗で清潔感のある空間で美味しい焼き鳥を食すことができるお店なのでオシャレしてきても問題ないです。気持ちが良いサービスはしてくれますが、2時間制なので終わり頃になるとお会計を求められる等少し急かされるので焼き鳥はあたたかいうちに食すことをオススメします。

前評判として幾つかのレビューサイトのリサーチを行い、若干の振れ幅がありましたので身構えておりましたが実際には暖かく迎えていただき非常に満足しました。知人との会食、接待や記念日とオールラウンドに使用できるお店だと思います。肝心の焼き鳥ですが、コースをいただき、奥久慈しゃもの美味しさを堪能出来ました。 CPは銀座ということで、個人的には特に意識しませんでした。コース外の串を試してみたいので、再訪したいと思います。

初めて行きました。メニューのわからないところを質問しましたが、快く教えてくださって、助かりました。夜のコースをいただきましたが、一つ一つが丁寧にお料理してあり、全て美味しかったです。鳥の旨味を味わえる焼き鳥でした。焼き鳥屋さんらしいフランクな雰囲気も残しつつ、お洒落な空間になっていて、親しい人と食事するのにピッタリだと思います。
