We had the chicken fried chicken that was on the lunch menu. It was absolutely delicious. BUT, the service was poor. We had a reservation for 1:00 and arrived at 12:55. We were seated immediately, but after 15 min. and no waiter we finally said something to the hostess. She went and spoke to the person responsible for our table and he finally came. This was the person who had been glancing our way from the time we were seated, just choosing not to acknowledge us. The couple next to us was unhappy, also the same waiter.

Awesome experience. Goat cheese fritters were a great app and the pork chop was one of the best I’ve had. End your meal with the banana pudding. Can’t wait to go back.

We decided to try this restaurant and so glad we did. I had the low country shrimp dish that was very good, but hubby got the trout with squash puree and wow, was it delicious. Service was great too!

Brought guests to one our favorite spots in Waynesville. Excellent, as always. The meatloaf, pan-seared trout and chicken and biscuit were all excellent.

The food is very good. I miss the Meyer Lemon salad dressing & I hope the trout is still on the dinner menu. Service is very good & ambience is nice. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Food was delicious and we really enjoyed our server Paul. We had the Mac and Cheese, house salad, meatloaf and pâté. All were excellent. Only criticism is that we waited a good while for our food. Others around us who came in later were served before us but overall a wonderful experience.

Our server was wonderful and took very good care of use. Food was fabulous with the exception of the Benne Fries. As you would expect from a sit down establishment you would think the fries served came straight out of the fryer to the table. They were served “under the heat lamp” style, limp and lukewarm. Although the sauce that came with it was delicious. Our entrées were delicious and piping hot. We would visit more often but the ambience is very cold. The only way I can explain it, college cafeteria feel.

We started out with the Pimento Cheese - very good with the pork rinds! I had the pork chop - very tasty ! Hubby had the meatloaf - he loved it. Will come back again for sure !

It was a really great meal with great service. The ambiance and overall decor could use some updating especially the booth seating. The Executive Chef needs to be given some type of best culinary artist award!!! Food was really great with great portions!

Excellent food, but poor service. Check in was poor lots of empty tables, but was told it was 45 min wait? They were reserved? Huh? I then stepped outside looked at open table, reservation was available for 15 mins.... Hostess was not effectively managing tables. I saw that eventually the bar manager took over. I'd asked for a club soda with lime to drink, never actually got it. They brought me a sprite. I don't drink soda. Then I brought it the servers attention. He said he'd fix it, never did. I ordered a cocktail, took 25 mins to get it, and it was only 3/4 full. At $15 for a cocktail it should be filled correctly and properly made. I forwent complaining on that, and I resorted to just getting a water. Which finally came. Food was good just reduce service expectations, for the price.

Delicious food. We had reservations for dinner. Got seated right away. Food was plentiful and delicious. My husband had the trout and was very pleased with it. I had the shrimp and it was also wonderful. Would recommend.

Our server Natasha was fantastic! Explained the restaurant’s concept and made recommendations. The food was delicious. My third time there and 3 friend’s first time. Everyone enjoyed the meal and experience. One of my favorite restaurants in the area.

We had a nice experience and the food was good. There were a few things that cause me to reduce my rating. We requested a high-top in our reservation but we’re given a low table. When I asked about a high-top I was told only a 6-seat high-top table was available. We ordered the Dad’s Tomato Pie and a house salad for appetizers. The tomato pie we received looked totally different than the picture on their website. It tasted good and we enjoyed it but I’m puzzled by the complete difference. The online picture looked like a pizza. We received a pile of loose tomatoes in a cast iron dish with bread crumbs and cheese on top. We received the tomato pie and salad and then immediately received our entrees. The waiter asked if we “wanted them” but we didn’t really have a choice. So we ate everything together. I ordered the fried chicken which was delicious but the mashed potatoes and green beans were cold. I requested two pieces dark and one piece white but received two pieces white and one dark. My husband ordered the pork chop and was very happy with it. Overall it was a nice meal and our waiter was pleasant and attentive.

Husbands steak was 10 out of 10. My fried chicken dinner was extremely overcooked. Management did not charge us for chicken entree, Which was very fair. Might go back, but won’t order chicken next time ☺️
