   Birch’s Lowertown was fantastic !! My wife friendly, pleasant, fun. The food was sensational: we both had the “Birch’s Burger”....it was the best burger I’ve had in a long time !! The shoestring fries were excellent too. My Birch’s Blonde Ale was wonderful. I can’t say enough positive things about the place. It’s a basic menu, but for that kind of a meal it is wonderful. We’ll be going back !!

   We had a confirmed reservation but the restaurant was closed when we arrived with a short note on door about apologizing for the inconvenience. It was Mother’s Day. Wish they would have sent an email to those with reservations that they were canceling. Will not try again.

   We love Birch's on the Lake and decided to try Birch's Lowertown. Same good beers, but a limited menu. Enjoyed the beer, dinner and games they have to play.

   I probably won't be back. The place was cool. It was St. Paddy's (on Saturday) so I get the slow service, not an issue. However, when you wait an hour for your food to arrive after the other party at your table has eaten and then you find out they lost your order ticket, and then they bring you the wrong sandwich, and then you find out that what they decided to make you was "close" to what you ordered because what you ordered is actually ONLY on the Sunday brunch menu it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. But, then to be actually charged for said sandwich = poor customer service :( I was very disappointed not to mention all the waiting cause us to miss 20 minutes of the parade. Had my food arrived when the others did we would have made it to the event we had looked forward to attending.

   They are very inflexible about any food substitutions or modifications. The “head chef” wouldn’t swap the brat patty for the beef patty on one of the burger options even though both are offered. Clearly not the first time the server was asked and had to tell a customer no. I felt bad for her. Forget about any sort of veggie option either. I didn’t leave feeling that they cared at all about the customer. I won’t be back.

   The staff was great, we liked all of the beverage options and the younger part of our group appreciated the table games that were available. Larger groups can sit on German style tables/benches.
