   I was not unhappy with the evening, it was quite private which on Valentines Night was a fine benefit. The service was excellent; the drinks were average. The salads were superb, my wife had Salmon which was good not great. I had a steak and the sides were superb but the steak was just good. Excellent cut - very tender but the meat had been prepared in a pepper sauce that overwhelmed it. Not unhappy but not wow 'd.

   Always love going here. The food is good, the restaurant is quiet (very nice for business meetings held over lunch) and the lunch service is always AMAZING!!!

   I always enjoy my meals at Birch River Grilll. Unfortunately the chicken was forgotten from my BRG mac and cheese which is creamy and delicious. My husband liked his club sandwich. The soups, fish and seafood are always good as is the reuben. The ambiance is nice and the restaurant is well-decorated. There is a bar and lounge area. It is adjacent to the Hilton property on Algonquin at Arlington Hts. Road.

   Fabulous food and extremely professional service. They even made me fish tacos with chicken instead upon request. 😜

   Bad experience overall started with nobody at the host stand. After 10 mins we got someone at the bar to seat us. Server was pleasant, but just an order taker. We were a transaction, not a table of guests to be taken care of. The food was at best bad. No seasoning. No care. Over cooked all around. Chicken. Steak. Salmon. All dry and subpar. Apparently there are no dessert options, as we were given our check without dessert being offered. Bottom line, we won’t be back.

   We were first-time customers for Easter Brunch. Our server was fantastic... an middle-aged Hispanic woman. I don't remember her name. She was super sweet. The food was good -- omelettes and waffles particularly yummy! Lots of great choices! I wish there were more chocolate desserts. The donuts were a good idea. The Costco or Jewel little cupcakes, no so much. The rooms were decorated very nice, loved the Easter Bunny. The Bloody Marys were not great, not much alcohol, not spicy or anything special. Overall, a nice place for Easter Brunch!

    Went there for my mom’s 75th Birthday since she prefers a quieter venue. We’ve been here before and had great food but this time it was so-so. My wife had the salmon which was over cooked and tasteless. My mother enjoyed the ribs. The table we sat @ was gouged in the middle of the table by something so I’m not sure why they even had it in service and we were only 1 of 2 parties there during the whole dinner. The service was good but overall it was overpriced for the portions served. Still giving it 4 stars overall because we appreciated our server who did a nice job even though the food was just ok.
