We went as a group of friends for sunday brunch and requested the bottomless brunch menu through opentable when I made the reservation. It wasn’t until we got there that they told us they no longer do the bottomless mimosa option. The servers were very nice and accommodating but this place isn’t what it used to be. There were no breakfast items on the menu except for the all you can eat option and there was a hot dog eating contest right next to our table... felt like we were at a college frat party and not the vibe we were going for :/
Went to brunch with two friends for the first time at Birch. The service was very slow only one girl was going around to all of the tables. It took 45 mins for someone to come to our table to bring menus or drinks. We ordered 3 glasses of water with the mimosas but never received the water. Then we asked the waitress 3 separate times for water and she said someone else was going to bring it and then we asked Christopher for water and he said he would go check on the waters we ordered. The three waters finally came out with the check. We didn’t get our food until 2:45pm and then the waitress came came up to our table at 2:50 saying we have to leave the table before 3pm because they have to get the room ready for the Halloween party at 4. People came to clear off our table as we were trying to eat. So we didn’t get to finish our meal because we were rushed out. Other than being rushed out and waiting so long to be helped or to even get water, we did enjoy the venue and hope that the next time that we go back, that it is a better experience since I have a reservation to have my 30th birthday brunch on Saturday November 16th at Birch.
Horrible experience from service, food and atmosphere.
I also disagree after providing horrible service, that they added gratuity for 3 people.
This was literally one of the worst experienced Ive had. Our waitress karen was absolutely terrible took 30 minutes to get our drinks each time. She put an automatic gratuity of $65 that she did not deserve. I have bartended and waitressed and I would never give such terrible service. I would never go back.
I love Birch so much! It’s right smack in the beginning of Hoboken which is easily accessible to buses/trains and cabs. The staff is wonderful and specials are affordable and worth every penny.
This is more like a sports bar to
Go and watch sporting events.
Birch was amazing i made a reservation for a friends birthday and Camilo took care of everything he contacted me to confirm and made sure everything was wonderful while we were there
This place is absolutely, horrifically mind-boggling. We came here with a large group including children for brunch at one in the afternoon. The photos available show fun milkshakes and burgers but fail to include the fact that it’s a nightclub setting— as in embarrassingly loud techno, hardcore rap and strobe lights as you’re sitting in either one of the three high tops or eating your meal in plastic fold up chairs that they set up— at one in the afternoon. There’s a buffet table that, in the 2.5 hours we were there, was never touched at all by either staff members or the only other party of five in the nightclub. The waiter managed to only take the food and drink orders of half of our party (keep in mind there were only two parties there at the time; maybe 20 patrons in the entire place total) and when that order of six burgers came out a full hour later, it was only then that he realized the error. The endless mimosas consisted of just orange juice without a single bubble in the glass and my three cosmopolitans came looking completely different each time—I’m talking totally different hues and garnishes. There’s a creepy “magician” that kept walking around showing all three of his tricks to us and then lingering waiting for tips each time. The ‘bouncer’ at the front gave us attitude when he insisted we leave a sleeping child in his stroller outside on the sidewalk (?!) because we couldn’t take a stroller in, which was super weird and not the best way to start our experience here. When the hostesses (who were very sweet) asked the bouncer to help us with the stroller up the stairs, he replied with an “F that, they don’t pay me enough,” loud enough for us to hear.
This is a nightclub and the fact that the owners of this place depict it as anything else other than a nightclub is unbelievably misleading and I wish I could have my time and money back.
This is a great place to go to hang with friends and catch up. The food was delicious. We all got burgers and they were cooked the way we all ordered. I ordered sweet potato fries because I don’t like regular. They were perfect. Crispy and fresh! The wait staff was super attentive to all our needs. I had a Bloody Mary. It was delicious! The girls I was with had the bottomless mimosas which is all you need with a table full of Girls. They dip their glasses in vanilla frosting with sprinkles! 😋
The desserts were amazing. We had shared the strawberry dream taco , sinful Cinnabon and the end of the rainbow burrito! I would highly recommend this place!
My sister and I came for restaurant week for the burger and milkshake deal. The milkshake was UNREAL - I loved it. I got the s‘ mores one. My burger was okay. It wasn’t that warm and didn’t really blow me away. Would definitely come back for the milkshakes alone though.
Perfect for brunch with the girls birthday parties and etc great service great food and great music not over crowded
The experience was decent. Server could of been a little more friendly and attentive, he looked bored and like he didn’t want to be there. Food was good. My only major complaint would be they were pretty much out of ketchup. For a place that is a burger and milkshake place you may want to be sure to be fully stocked with a popular condiment like ketchup. All and all I would return.
brunch was great! The service, the food, the music & the ambiance was perfect. Celebrated a friends 30th bday brunch. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice place, with great music & good vibes
Really good food, music, and service! I highly recommend!
Perfect place for my Birthday I loved everything about it.
Went here for a 21 birthday and this place was lit. Would definitely go back!
It was odd. I felt like I was at a club but it was noon and I was eating brunch. Music was really loud and the strobe lights were going. Just a little odd having brunch when the club is jamming.
Awesome place. Great environment. Music selection was very good.
Love it can’t wait to come back it was a nice experience
We took our daughters and some friends to Birch for a birthday dinner and they were wonderful! We had one kid with significant allergies with us, and the Birch management and staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Burgers and shakes were AMAZING! And the balloons, sash, and sparklers for the birthday girl made the whole thing super special. What a treat! Thank you Birch!!!
Great atmosphere and the music was great! Looking for a lit brunch spot and this was definitely it. Can’t wait to go back
We had a nice time. Good food. Good music. Only downfall for us was the website was misleading. We don’t mind spending money. We just like to know what we are walking into. We don’t like being surprised if the website says one thing but the restaurant says another. Overall. Good time. We will come back w friends.
I had celebrated my birthday at the brunch. The DJ was dope!! The food was good!! The mimosa'a were good!!! The ambiance was great!!!! Myself and 20 guest really enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely
I went out for my “push brunch” something I made up, its just a girls day after I gave birth to catch up with friends and I have to say this was the best spot ever. Food was amazing as the vibe was the best. I would recommend anyone that’s doing a bunch to go here. Thank you for helping me have the best girls day.
The food was very good but the service was so-so and they were out of of stock of a lot of items on their small menu.
Terrible food!! Terrible Bloody Mary... tasted like garlic water!! Terrible service... slow and dis interested!.. way to loud
Our table was a little tight for 11 people but the service made up for it. Diego was outstanding
Fun Birthday Experience for my daughter! They pulled out all the bells and whistles (and sparklers and birthday sash) to make her feel special. The milkshakes were great too! Thank goodness we had a reservation through Open Table, if not there would have been a very long wait.
This was the worst brunch place I’ve ever been to. We had 4 separate waitors. It took 45 minutes to get our food. The brunch buffet was so bad. The mimosas were just orange juice. One of the waitors was really touchy. And the music was so loud, I couldn’t hear my friends talk. Would not reccomend to anyone.
The service was great!
Birch was a completely different experience than we expected. It is a very night club feel even during the day. I do not think this was well portrayed on their website. The service was terrible and it was extremely expensive. There was no brunch menu but instead a brunch buffet which was no better than a holiday inn buffet. Definitely not worth the amount of money we spent. This is fun if you plan on getting wasted on a sunday but definitely not what we were looking for when going out to brunch. The music is very loud and we could not hear ourselves speak. It is great if night club during the day is the vibe you are looking for, just wish it was better portrayed on their website beforehand.
the music was way too loud for brunch. the buffet was not very creative with just a bunch of fried food. very disappointing
The manager was soo polite and nice!! The table wasn’t quit ready yet when we walked into the restaurant but it was ok because he treated us all to a drink! The table was ready within minutes!! Also, The burgers and fries were sooo super yummmy!!!! We are definitely coming back to this place!! We were too full to try the milkshakes 😢 next time!!!
The other reviews pretty much say it all but I booked in a rush without reading them. I don’t know what the vision is for this place but when we walked in we felt like we were interrupting a sweet sixteen. There were folding chairs, a (meager) buffet, and swirling disco lights.
Others have probably mentioned it but why on earth anyone would rim a mimosa flute with icing and chunky sprinkles is completely beyond me. The servers were pleasant enough and kept the mimosa pitchers full (which was the only saving grace of this experience.) The only menu options are burgers or smoothie bowls. We opted for the burgers and both were overdone. 3 pitchers of mimosas later we finally cut our losses. If you’re looking for a classic city-style brunch, look elsewhere.
The food was great, I had the burger and the music selection was good as well. They played a little bit or everything. Always the ambiance and decorations of the room was very nice and the Santa hats they gave out we’re adorable. Overall it was just a good experience to have been my first time going to brunch there. I also loved how the waiters weren’t stingy on the champagne 😂
I went with two of my friends for brunch on Saturday. Our drinks took a half hour and us asking our waiter where they were. Then our food took an hour and a half and two out of three of our orders were incorrect. Unless we asked, we were not updated on the status of our orders. I had read other reviews saying the service was slow but I didn't expect it to be that slow and have our orders come incorrectly. I will not be going back.
Sat down and left. Place smelled like stale beer, not enough menus to go around, no kids menu and limited selection. Brunch for a family is what we were looking for and the buffet was in disposable chaffing dishes and looked kind of lame. I think this is for a younger booze crowd.
Everyone was awesome
