The trout and pork chop are fantastic. Great crafted drinks.
sat at the bar - service was wonderful, drinks were spectac, bone-in ribeye superb.
I've been here so many times and I'm never disappointed. Always excellent food, great wine selection, friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere. Love this place!
We were very impressed by the Covid precautions taken and it is one of the few restaurants we will trust to eat inside going forward.
Thank you, Patricia!
So. Good. We’ve had brunch at B & B before, but this was our first dinner and it didn’t disappoint!
B&B is one of our favorite spots in Milwaukee. It has an ever-changing menu, and we haven't found anything we haven't liked. It is a great place for a bit of a splurge.
The tables are spaced out in COVID fashion, which makes it feel even more comfortable.
Highly recommended.
Amazing food! And service! Great ambience, even outdoors. Appreciated the big umbrella that kept ya dry during a little drizzle.
We discovered this restaurant through Open Table. Their menu was creative and varied. We tried each course: Starters, salads, main course, dessert. Each has a special flavor and presentation. I had steelhead trout and it was done perfectly. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest where the proper preparation of salmon is a duty - moist, a bit translucent, and well-seasoned. We ate outdoors and the setting was beautiful. Traffic noise could be intrusive at times, but not enough to deter conversation. This restaurant was a great find, and we highly recommend.
Food was very good , but very small portions .
Really wonderful people. Very kind and made sure we were happy and comfortable.
It was great! Really delicious food, prompt but unobtrusive service, perfect for special occasions.
This was our second visit. I do not at all care for the ambiance - feels cold and uninviting - but the food was so delicious the first time we were happy to go again with a friend who had not been. Appetizers were great but the rest of the meal was a bit disappointing. Salad was sadly overdressed but I would love to have again as it seemed amazing. I will just ask to ensure it is not overdressed. The chicken entree was a bit dry and the salmon was fine - but nothing special. The saving grace was the lovely service. And the extremely comfy chairs at the bar (as that was the only opening available to us). So nice to sit on a padded bar seat with a back!
At this point, I am not sure I would recommend. I like to visit a restaurant three times before deciding so we will go back.
Drinks, bread basket and salads were excellent. The entrees were disappointing. The sides were bland and cold.
They have a small menu but with not the normal choices. It was very good and perfect size portions.
Everything was delicious! We ordered the quiche and it was light, fluffy and perfect! I’m a sweets person, so the homemade cinnamon roll was by far my favorite! The space, ambience, service and food were all on point!
The staff was great and the pork belly was amazing. Sarah is one of the best in the business and she definitely made our visit memorable.
Very willing to accommodate a special request (dressing on the side etc), also very knowledgeable server in terms of ingredients in menu items.
Brunch with a friend in a lovely outside setting. Food was fabulous-I highly recommend the French toast!
Please get back to your old menus (esp brunch!)
Excellent food and service! We chose to sit outside, tables were separated nicely. Great environment!
Very unique Sunday brunch menu with wonderful food and terrific service.
Was seated 30 minutes late even with a reservation. Waited 30 minutes for beverages even after commenting that our beverages hadn’t arrived. One of two entrees was cold. The other was burnt. All in all a poor experience even though patio area was very nice.
We returned to Birch and Butcher because we loved our last visit there in January. This time the service, while very friendly and courteous, was extremely slow for cocktails and food. They were moderately busy, but seemed understaffed. We ordered cocktails, and one was totally wrong, and undrinkable. Although the embarrassed waitress took drinks off the bill, we will put this restaurant off our list for the time being.
Seated 20min after reservation.
Cocktails and food were fantastic! We appreciated the pacing for the shareable dishes. Meat was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed the variety of flavor profiles. The Bulgogi beef and BBQ parsnips were our favorite dishes!
Bar service was terrible... incredibly slow. The bartender clearly needed support and the cocktails were also underwhelming.
Loved the cocktails (margarita & old fashioned), entrees (skirt steak & ribeye steak), and dessert (cheesecake) that we ordered! Everything was perfect, along with the nicely paced service. Very cool outdoor space on N Water St. Highly recommend and look forward to returning!
Service and food were excellent. Nice wine list. Park setting was delightful.
Absolutely wonderful! Excellent service and their patio is perfect in a COVID era. Plenty of space between tables while still having wonderful ambience.
Highly recommend the lamb tartare.
Waiters did a good job serving, with masks. Tables well spaced.
Server was great! Attentive. Grilled ramps were delicious! I’ve had them before and they don’t disappoint. Skirt steak was very flavorful however I asked for it rare to medium rare and it was medium to well done. I understand it’s difficult to do in a skirt steak which is why I didn’t send it back but others with the same dish at the table were done beautifully. Marinade and watermelon kimchi were a nice touch to the meat. Overall a great experience.
We LOVE this restaurant. Great food. Great service. Great experience every time!!
We had the beet and squash salads that were both fantastic. For dinner we has the chicken and salmon which again were fantastic. The wine and beer were reasonably priced. We sat outside and the tables were adequately spaces with a few fire pits. The service was just as great as our meal. We would definitely go back.
The night was perfect! Best meal and experience we’ve had since COVID. We’ve been to Birch and Butcher prior to the pandemic and enjoyed it. I was SO impressed with the cleanliness and felt very safe. The food and service was impeccable.
Best ribeye I’ve had in a long time
Delicious and creative as always. So wonderful to be able to have comfortable outdoor seating.
During this time the service they social distance spacing and everything was perfect the food is I was consistently not good great
We were SO excited to see Birch and Butcher back open. We decided to go on a Friday night and made a reservation for the bar. We had the best time! It was quiet, food was exceptional and the service outstanding (shout out to Kim E)!!
Thank you, thank you! We are excited to see you again!
Amazing food and amazing service!
Cheers, thank you!
Pork belly/ corn app was spot-on. Heirloom tomato, cantaloupe & burrata salad was a delicious bowlful of summer flavor. Pork chop was moist and tender. Cheesecake was shareable size.
Thank you for review! We so appreciate you!
