BIN 112 on trade street Ratings and Reviews
All good - love this place. It suits almost all occasions and options for different types of food requests. Only improvement feedback - I had to ask for sauce twice ( stopped first someone who was not our waiter, second our waiter) and it didn’t come until I had one bite remaining. I wanted to eat while my food was warm. I love that Bin serves delicious meals on warm plates!!
Bin 112 and their sister restaurant The Strip Club never fail to impress. Cocktails are always creative, service is spot-on, and the food is always creative without being pretentious. The only negative was that our table was right next to the door and on a chilly night we were constantly subjected to cold breezes every time diners arrived or left--not surprising given the place's popularity. Truly an Upstate gem!
I read reviews about Bin 112, and was impressed. I also reviewed the menu online, and was also impressed by the very interesting choices. We got there a little earlier than our reservation and there were quite a few empty tables, but within 20 minutes, the restaurant was full. Very popular, and for very good reason. A pleasant atmosphere, great service, food excellent, and I loved the concept of small or normal sized choice entrees, including many appetizers listed that way. I wish more restaurants would do that. I ordered a small portion, which was not small at all, it was perfect, for me. My husband had the duck and enjoyed it very much. I had the bbq salmon and it was moist and tender. Would go back again when we are in town again.
Bad experience and sure it was a bad night for the restaurant, but took 1.5 hours to get the food. The excuse was a large party downstairs and got slammed with people. Large event in town that night so I would have expected better planning. Food was good, but to arrive at 7:15 and not get food until after 9:00 is a little much. I would have thought the manager might come out and at least explain the situation. We had a well know chef and restaurant owner with us and the impression was not very good.
Recommended by our dentist. Made reservations online which was easy. Still scratching my head about reservations because we only had three choices for dining times. 5:15, 5:30 or 5:45. There were tables open during our entire dining time.
Food was awesome. Service was great. It took longer than expected to get our check once we were finished.
The best thing about this place is that they offer small portions of most of their selections. This lets you go ahead and try several different appetizer style portions to branch out, or save a bit if you want a great meal but are a little hesitant to drop $50+. There's an option to get a filet for $15, which you won't find at many other locations.
The wine and cocktail selection is also great, and very reasonably priced. I hate having to spend $12+ on a cocktail using Tito's or Buffalo Trace level spirits. We will for sure be going back to Bin 112.
I had made the reservations about 3 weeks in advance of the 40th birthday celebration. Service was just ok.. we had a group of 4, three of whom drank beer and alcohol.. I only drank water.. I guess in order to be waited on for water, you need to switch to beer or alcohol. It appeared our server was busy with other tables and really didn't swing by to see if everything was satisfactory with our food, etc.. It will be a long time before we decide to dine at BIN112. Which is too bad, because the food is very tasty. But if you don't have good service, what is the sense of dining out..
Bin 112 is always our go to spot for a fabulous meal together with friends or just a great dinner together. Every dish is very fresh, very hot and served by friendly staff who are always welcoming. A reservation is a must nearly every night. The Bin Stack and the Smoked Mtn Beef Tenderloin are the best entrees, but the Classic Beach Mussels are the best anywhere. Love it all.
Great place with fabulous eats!!! I’m a picky eater and I have loved everything I’ve tried including foods I don’t normally care for. I debated writing a review because this is a very small restaurant and we love it so much we don’t want it to get so crowded that we can’t get a reservation! That being said, it is well worth a visit if you enjoy friendly people and good food.
I enjoyed everything about my experience. I'm thrilled I found the restaurant, but the waitress we had seemed a little off although very nice and never said anything out of the way she almost left you with the impression that she either got offended or she did not agree with your meal choice and wanted what she had to recommend.
Attentive but not hovering waitstaff. Food, as usual was insanely delicious! Nothing on the menu is at all questionable...the difficulty is in making a decision. After Flaming Kasseri, a Bond Martini, & Maple Bacon Manhattan, Candy of the Sea it was (seared scallops to perfection). Topped it off with an Aztec Chocolate Bourbon. Must visit!
