4 people in my party and no one would go back. Each dish was ok but seemed to have something off putting about it. Atmosphere was nice and server was helpful.
It was a crowded Friday night. It was quite load. Because our waitress was busy, it meant our service was slow.
The food was good. The ribs are really good.
It is a good place for a night out. Prices are reasonable, drinks are on the high end.
Great Sunday Brunch and fantastic bloody mary bar.
food was good. service is usually friendly here. the in house ginger beer , as always, is phenomenal!!!! this is the main reason i keep coming back- i wish they would bottle it. was a quiet lunch crowd. fried farfalle (bowtie) pasta is a neat bar appetizer. i ordered the buffalo chicken sandwhich, and was good. my friend had meatball sandwhich and he raved about how it was like meatliaf balls. he loved them.
its comfort foods here-- nothing outstanding. pretty compatable to other spots But the in house ginger beer makes me choose this place over others. nothing like it anywhere
Delicious food with good portions
We ate near the bar so we could watch the football game. Lots of screens all around the bar. Great selection of beers. Ribs were very good, perfectly cooked. Fish tacos were just OK.
Waitress, brought our drinks over 10 min after ordering and then said they were out of one. Never checked on our meals, brought the wrong drink when I ordered a second, bought a 5th drink we did not order. Did not refill water. Disappointed.
I am a regular at this restaurant. And continue to go because of their unique ginger beer. It's the best I've ever had I found this restaurant through OpenTable last year. And I've continued to come since. Service was superb. Food was cooked well however I was disappointed with the lack of Teriyaki flavor in my Tokyo Burger. Was expecting more. Everything else was perfect. My friend ordered salmon and was cooked perfect. Tater tots, end hummus, and guacamole and chips, was perfect. I will go back again.
My steak tips and potatoes were VERY salty, my potatoes were cold and my asparagus undercooked. My husband thought his fish tacos were average. My mother-in-law thought the fish and chips was great. Our server was terrific and the atmosphere was good. It wasn't that crowded and we were able to talk without any difficulty with the bar noise. I've had a good dinner salad here in the past, but I wouldn't return after today's meal.
Delicious food, outstanding service and parking was a plus
We had a new waitress who was learning the ropes, but was very pleasant. The food was good. Value was good. I would love go again.
This was one of the worst dining experiences ever. Our order was totally wrong and some items never arrived. We came with our young children at 6 and ordered nachos right away. They never showed up. Then our kids meals arrived - not as we ordered. My son wanted cheese quesadillas - chicken arrived. Which meant he had to wait longer for food. My daughter ordered pasta with butter and cheese - Mac and cheese arrived. I ordered a salad with dressing on the side, it arrived dripping in dressing. And my husband ordered the salmon which he said was devoid of flavor and so he couldn’t eat it. And our drinks arrived AFTER our meals. Needless to say, we won’t be back.
not one of their better days.
i visit this place often, but this one was dissappointing. service was slow. 20 min to get waters and our drinks. menu was off no ribs, no steak tips, no potroast. out of the 7 nain non-burger dishes, only chicken and fish (4 dishes) were left. my order was wrong when it came out and it was corrected when my wife was over half done. last month i wanted to go for my birthday, and electrical problems prompted tge hwner to call ne and cancel. so thooght my wife and i would go for our anniversary this month. was a bit dusappointing. what was cooked was good, and the one saving grace that always brings ne back is their home nade ginger beer. always awesome
Great service at the bar for the Sox game!
Great food. And service. We will recommend restaurant to friends.
Good food priced right.
Amazing tuna burger $
The food was ehh.. it was a bar with bar food for locals. But we wanted to try it as it is always advertised on Opentable. Wasn’t for me or my date. We probably will not be back.
They were sadly sold out of the pulled pork, but the Hot Banana Burger was excellent! Other diners had the steak tips and also rated them excellent. Good seasonal cocktail menu. Staff were all friendly, personable and fun! Loved the atmosphere.
Fun place with good drinks. Trivia night is fun. Lots of tvs to watch sports. GF options. Server was very nice but forgot to bring soup before our meals. Oh well.
The food was not very good
the steak tips were raw, manager took them off the bill. The steak look like it was a low grade of meat and not a TIP. The menus were sticky, they should have been wiped down. The waiter could not answer anything about the beers and the difference of flavors.
I would not recommend it to a friend.
Our experience was terrible. The waitress was hard to track down, escpecially after our food was brought out. My rice was cold, chicken was chewy and my friends burger was raw in the middle, not cooked at all. We sat for over 30 mins waiting for our waitress (we were on the outdoor patio) then we had to get up and go find someone to find our waitress. It was annoying.
The place has a great design inside and out, but, the bathroom was disgusting and there were plenty of employees to make sure this wasn’t an issue...it was a Wednesday night @ 5:30!
If we go back, it will be for drinks only, at the bar...where hopefully the service will be better, but I wouldn’t waste my hard earned money on their food ever again.
Good time took family out after baseball game good options for everyone and all enjoyed the evening
Typically very good and we will go back but....I asked for my burger to be medium and it was WELL DONE - I don't like to send food back so I ate it....the place was not busy so it shouldn't have been an issue....disappointing but past experiences will make me go back.
I went with my two sons and this was easily my worst dining experience in years. The service was mediocre at best. We started with the mucho nachos which were far from mucho. Very little cheese, very little tomatoes and onions and 4 slices of jalapeño. They should have called it chips. We each got a burger and although they sounded great on the menu, they were all bland and lacked any flavor at all. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy absolutely horrible.
there is a lot if competition for burger and pizza places out there- this competes well with them, but it is the HOMEMADE GINGER BEER thats not on the menu- and i ask for every time- that keeps me coming back. this place is slated as one if my favs on open table.
only complaint is very dark to read menus.
marc, our server was awesome
The menu has a good variety of choices, the food was good however the service was slow. After receiving our drinks it was ten minutes before our waitress came back to take our food order. We were seated for just over one hour before our meal was served. It was Father's Day and we had reservations, the restaurant was busy but not jammed and certainly should not have been an hours wait for the meal to be served. I believe the manager noticed that we were waiting for a long period of time as we saw him speaking with the waitress and looking in our direction however he never approached the table. I recommend the restaurant for it's food however the service can be improved.
We sat outside on the patio, which was great given the nice weather. It was the reason we went to B&M and it was nice to eat at a place that has outdoor seating. All four of us ordered burgers and the waffle fries. I ate the one with a fried mac n cheese ball on it, which I would get again, but they have a pretty big burger menu and they all looked good.
Great spot, great ambiance. Good food. Terrible wine list.
The food was very good, but the service was excellent. Our waitress was wonderful and made our first visit to this restaurant the first of, I hope, many visits.
Very disappointing experience! We tried Biltmore and Main since we received a coupon in the mail. We had heard mixed reviews. We were extremely disappointed! Portions were extremely small and food very average at best. My husband ordered the steak tips and when his dinner arrived, there were 3 small "steak tips" (looked more like skirt steak) and mostly roasted potatoes on the plate. I got a salad which was just ok- and not inexpensive. The worst part of the experience was the service and waiter. Service was very poor. The waiter disappeared for extensive periods of time although the restaurant was pretty empty. Most annoyingly, he kept referring to my husband as "bud" and "pal". We found this to be most inappropriate and disrespectful. We were neither his bud nor pal! We certainly will not return!
I’m not sure why there are bad reviews. This place was great! Awesome beer selection and great drink menu. The food was delicious and didn’t take too long. They also were super nice and didn’t mind me mixing and matching with the menu when I ordered. 5 stars without a doubt! Can’t wait to go back!!
My mixed drinks (Cap't & Diet coke) were very weak. I enjoyed the fish tacos which were nothing fancy but side of rice and beans was inedible. White rice hard as a rock inside. My wife liked her short ribs and kids liked pulled pork and burger. Waiter was very pleasant and attentive. This place is really a sports bar with a dining room slapped on the back offering same pub food and few interesting looking dishes of very average quality to bring in diners (IMO). Would not rush back.
Food was ok
My dinner came first , my girlfriends came about 15 minutes later ( didn’t like that)
Noise level deafening.
Had Mother's Day brunch here. Arrived at the end of the rush with the restaurant more than half full when we arrived but emptying out when we left. Nice ambience and decor. The issues really started with the wait time for the food. Would have thought the kitchen would have caught up given how late we arrived. However, it took a long time to get the food, with no updates, check ins or water refills by our server. When the food did arrive it was underwhelming. Menu was good but not executed well. Steak requested medium was completely overcooked. Fried chicken and biscuit were mediocre. The server did only a perfunctory check in to ask if we wanted more drinks.
I was excited to try this place where it had great reviews! The Bloody Mary bar was definitely enticing and such a fun idea for a Mothers Day brunch. However we had ask for additional toppings as most were running low and not being replenished by he bar. The brunch menu looked good online but unfortunately did not meet my expectations. Chicken and waffles was just ok, both on the dry side. Corned beef hash was ok; was a “ground meat”
texture versus a shredded corned beef. The Short ribs and tots dish was the best out of the bunch. Tender and flavorful but the cheese on top just reminded me of microwaved cheese whiz. The service was great and also a good bar/pub atmosphere but I wouldn’t go back for the food.
I recommended B&M to a mt friends and will definitely will return.
This is my go to spot in Reading.
First they do not provide bread at all. Then the charged an extra 2.50 per drink for ice on the side. If you want beer and burgers i guess its ok 10.00 for a margarita in a small glass is not good. If there trying to build business they need to learn how to make the experience better.
