I’m not sure why there are bad reviews. This place was great! Awesome beer selection and great drink menu. The food was delicious and didn’t take too long. They also were super nice and didn’t mind me mixing and matching with the menu when I ordered. 5 stars without a doubt! Can’t wait to go back!!
My mixed drinks (Cap't & Diet coke) were very weak. I enjoyed the fish tacos which were nothing fancy but side of rice and beans was inedible. White rice hard as a rock inside. My wife liked her short ribs and kids liked pulled pork and burger. Waiter was very pleasant and attentive. This place is really a sports bar with a dining room slapped on the back offering same pub food and few interesting looking dishes of very average quality to bring in diners (IMO). Would not rush back.
Food was ok
My dinner came first , my girlfriends came about 15 minutes later ( didn’t like that)
Noise level deafening.
Had Mother's Day brunch here. Arrived at the end of the rush with the restaurant more than half full when we arrived but emptying out when we left. Nice ambience and decor. The issues really started with the wait time for the food. Would have thought the kitchen would have caught up given how late we arrived. However, it took a long time to get the food, with no updates, check ins or water refills by our server. When the food did arrive it was underwhelming. Menu was good but not executed well. Steak requested medium was completely overcooked. Fried chicken and biscuit were mediocre. The server did only a perfunctory check in to ask if we wanted more drinks.
I was excited to try this place where it had great reviews! The Bloody Mary bar was definitely enticing and such a fun idea for a Mothers Day brunch. However we had ask for additional toppings as most were running low and not being replenished by he bar. The brunch menu looked good online but unfortunately did not meet my expectations. Chicken and waffles was just ok, both on the dry side. Corned beef hash was ok; was a “ground meat”
texture versus a shredded corned beef. The Short ribs and tots dish was the best out of the bunch. Tender and flavorful but the cheese on top just reminded me of microwaved cheese whiz. The service was great and also a good bar/pub atmosphere but I wouldn’t go back for the food.
I recommended B&M to a mt friends and will definitely will return.
This is my go to spot in Reading.
First they do not provide bread at all. Then the charged an extra 2.50 per drink for ice on the side. If you want beer and burgers i guess its ok 10.00 for a margarita in a small glass is not good. If there trying to build business they need to learn how to make the experience better.
The wait staff was very attentive. The food was delicious
So disappointed! We have been there in the past and like the ambiance and the food but Saturday night was a disaster. Our server was slow....no, really, really slow and inattentive. Normally the food is good but this time, it was not. We ordered the Fish and Chips...the fish was oily and they put it directly on top of the fries...which were soggy before I had one because the oiliness of the fish soaked in before dinner reached the table making them inedible. Our burgers that were ordered medium were charred on the outside and raw in the middle - we eat the edges and left the middle. Overall very disappointing...we will think twice before going back.
I went here for dinner with my husband, we thought it was a restaurant but quickly realized it is a bar. The food was better than at the typical bar, but it took a while to come out. The sliders were my favorite! The "Pear necessity" drink didn't taste like it had any alcohol in it, unfortunately.
As far as the atmosphere, you can expect the loud bar area when you enter, and there's a more relaxed area out back. There's a cool fireplace, too!
Overall, I would go back with a bunch of friends but I'm not going to go out of my way to reserve/plan for dinner.
Great service. Will go again
Great night at Biltmore. Bar staff was very friendly. Toby was very accommodating with our reservation for the evening. Love the sliders! Will definitely be back!
We had a great time, service and food were excellent. As well as the Trivia soo much fun
Unfortunately, my experience at the biltmore and main wasn’t less than ideal. The service was horrible, the food was cold and took 45 minutes to come out. We were there at he opening of brunch and they were “out of” waffles and American cheese for omelettes.. what we wanted to be a fun friends local get together, was awful and left us all wishing we went somewhere else.
It was busy but our waiter was attentive , burgers came in a timely manner and were very good. It was pretty noisy.
greatfood and great service
Ive been here a few times. You MUST have the house made ginger beer (non-alcoholic). Its quite zingy - and made withbfresh ginger. This keeps me coming back. The burgers were good. Fries are better than average. Service was good. It is a dark space- so difficult to read menus and ver difficult to read bill.
Only complaint was with open table app. I was 5min away and decided to eat there. I noticed on app that it wasc1,000 point table for 6pm. It was 5:48. I kept clicking on it and it wouldnt allow me to make a reservation. I was in the restaurant at the recption desk before 6. And ended up clicking on the 100 point 615 slot to at least gey a 100 point reward. Was disappointed i didnt get my 1,000 points.
Always a great meal. Sometimes service can be slow to get to the table. I go almost weekly, so this night it was slower than usual. We ordered desserts for the first time, very unimpressed. "Mini Profiterole" was as big as a biscuit, tasted like freezer burn and frankly not very good. Bon Bon shows a photo of three on the menu, yet serves only 1.
Nice casual atmosphere reasonable price
First and probably last time there. Super loud and not very inviting. They sat us at a tiny table that was halfway across the rear exit. The broom and dustpan were literally leaning on our table. They moved us after we complained, but didn’t seem too happy to do it. Not one gluten free appetizer, but the iceberg wedge was awesome. Waiter recommended a creamy Marsala pasta dish that was on special. Pasta to chicken ratio was way off and the taste was far from Marsala. It was basically a bowl of rigatoni with a Marsala broth with a tiny bit of chicken. My other half had steak tips and potato wedges. The steak wasn’t very tender and didn’t seem like a traditional tip. The prices weren’t too bad, but you clearly get what you pay for.
We had a great time here. The food was terrific from the pulled pork to the steak tips to the children's PB&J. All was fresh showing a great deal of care in the preparation. We will be back.
This place was great , the only thing I could critique is that the food took a really long time to come out and it was not that busy, but I would still come back . It could have just been the day ! Food was really good and reasonable prices !
Great place, great food and great service. On Sunday's they have a Bloody Mary bar, but it does not open until noon. In the summer they have an outdoor area.
Great night! We arrived early and it was no issue and the restaurant was pretty crowded. The waitress was very attentive but not annoying and the food was great! Thanks!
When we checked in, my brother stated he would like to watch the Bruins, and the table they seated us at only had one TV facing us. After a few minutes of the Bruins, someone (I assume the bartender) changed it to the Celtics. So, after a few minutes of asking a couple of different wait staff to have it changed, my brother very nicely got up and asked the bartender to change it back to the Bruins because we only had one TV on our end of the restaurant. They quickly changed it back to the Bruins and we enjoyed the rest of the game. Very nice to see that customers matter! Oh, and the food was very good. We will be back!
Meals were good. Staff very accommodating. Wine pours from the bar were inconsistent. Music way too loud in the bar area.
Unfortunately not a good experience. Meat not cooked as requested to the opposite extreme. Trying to make it right but awkwardly made it worse. Loud blower in dining area for heat made it hard to hear tables on top of each other in an awkward layout. Nachos were delicious but downhill after that.
Food is supeeb. My favorite drink is not on menu- but you myst irder ut if you like ginger beer (non alcoholic). They make it them selces and serve on request. Best ive ever had. But very spicey.
Fish tacos and fried calamari is excellent. Parents loved the burgers.
It is a var tyoe place so the noise levels can rise. Biggest problem was reading the menu as it is poorly lit.
I will return. The foid is great
A really nice spot! We went for lunch on Saturday and were surprised (and delighted) by the brunch menu. We have been several times and will go back again.
Food was great. Attentive service. Good beer selection. It was my first time there. I'll go back again.
Had the table ready and even had fresh flowers as requested. Food was great and the truffle covered strawberries were a nice touch.
Our first time visiting B&M was a mixed bag. The bar area appeared lively with multiple TVs and a good crowd. We were seated at a table near the rear door in the dining area and it was cold there with a draft. When asked, the Mgr said he couldn't move us due to other reservations. So we decided to tough it out.
Our server was prompt and friendly with the only oops being her accidental spilling of water on my shoe. Our drinks were delivered one at a time (not by our waiter) which was odd and made for an awkward moment.
The spinach dip with parmesan dusted pita bread app was tasty. While the main dishes, tenderloin with lobster special for me and the short ribs for her, were good without being memorable. Prices were quite reasonable. Upon leaving the restaurant, the table we mentioned moving to was still unattended. Sad.
We'll probably return for a second try at B&M. But, we'll be sure to request a table away from the back door.
I was disappointed in the wine. I like Pinot Grigio, and there was none, except for the blend with another wine. It was too sweet, and there was not another option because the list was limited.
Just an average place. Foods average
Fun atmosphere loud and energetic but cozy with a big fireplace. Brandon was our server he was attentive and fun to deal with. The burgers were amazing! the tater tots were great too! The shakes were delicious
Great food, great location, enjoyable environment! Service needs to improve — staff are very nice but the restaurant seems not all that organized overall.
It was really loud and FREEZING! our waitress was kind enough to move us away from the window, however I still had to wear my winter coat! Lovely vibe, wish there were more options for the New Years menu. Will come back for the Bloody Mary bar :)
