Billykart West End is also available for private functions, from intimate dinners and celebrations to large parties and events.
Went here for brunch. The service was good, the wait staff were friendly and always asking if we needed more coffees etc. Food was tasty.
Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Weather was perfect for sitting outside.
food and service were fantastic, will come back again!
The food was amazing, the service fantastic and so friendly.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants just a little more from their dining experience.
This place was so good I went back today for breakfast, the corn fritters are exceptional! Coffee is sooooo goood!!
We had a fabulous evening at Bully Kart. The food was great all round, and imaginatively prepared. The service was excellent so we really couldn’t fault it, well done!!
The wait staff were knowledgeable and curious and we followed one if their recommendations. Good choice too. The octopus entree, was fresh and tasty. Nice looking at the chef and staff cooking from our seats. Cocktails, the pavlova was hit with my lady and mains of house pasta and ribs really hit the spot. Loved the molasses carrots pitty we had no room left for desert. Recommend it to our friends, thanks again billy kart
My husband and I had lunch at Billykart on Friday to celebrate a special birthday. My husband ordered the peri peri chicken. The flavour of the chicken was acceptable, but the char grilled broccoli was inedible as it was extremely tough. I ordered the pasta dish as a main which was nice, but not remarkable. I am a small eater, but the serve size was very small and would not be sufficient for most diners. The service was slow given there were few diners at the time we visited. We are foodies and had high hopes given the profile of the owner/chef, but we cannot recommend this restaurant.
Attentive staff, wine list very limited and after tasting a few samples, were not worth the asking price.
I ordered a beer (very good).
Pork was very spicy, and hardly eatable for my wife. Very noisy inside. Good atmosphere.
We shared plates off the vegetarian options and it was a decadent buffet of well treated produce. The gnocchi was lovely and light and the vegetables were cooked and flavoured to shine each on their own.
We only had two tiny gripes. The beans needed double the amount of feta and the leeks were not washed of all sand so they were a bit grainy on the palate. We told our waitress, but are unsure if our message about the leeks was passed to the kitchen. No one mentioned any reply and our bill didn’t reflect any acknowledgement.
But other then that it was great! The pinspple cocktail was SMOKIN and our wine by the glass delicious.
Ambience was rustic and the service was a bit slow but the staff were pleasant. The tomato soup was good but the main courses (one of fish and the other of chicken and broccoli) were overcooked (dry and tough) as were the side dishes of carrots and leeks (soggy).
Famous for their brunch menu I was excited to be trying Billykart with some friends to help my husband celebrate his birthday. The welcome wad lovely, drinks arrived promptly, having looked ahead at the menu everyone was eagerly anticipating the main event. A few people (me included) was keen on the souffle with smoked salmon... we are out of salmon, we can substitute for bacon.... don't get me wrong, I love bacon, it is however never going to be a substitute for smoked salmon. Anyways lack of salmon aside we move on to the other offerings. I have a citrus allergy and this has never been handled better, the waitress spoke to the chef and came back with a marked up menu with my options.... this was amazing, and the reason for the high score on service, thank you.
When our meals arrived everyone heartedly tucked into their meal, unfortunately everyone was left a little dissatisfied, none more so than me when I discovered a bit of steel wool from a pot scrubber in my meal. Yes the half eaten meal was taken off the bill, yes there was an offer to remake said meal (seriously?) Needles to say it was disappointing at best. We most certainly won't be back.
The senior waitress was very attentive as were the other staff delivering food.
The ambiance was great outside, I don’t think I would like to dine indoors as the music was a little loud for my liking.
The only thing to improve is warming the plates as food could go cold quickly.
Amazing food at a great price! We had the wagu main and the pork absolutely delicious!!
An amazing experience! Greta to see all staff enjoying their job and the open kitchen adds a whole new dimension. It was amazing to see the kitchen team at work and the calibre of food was outstanding. Highly recommend and will be back to sample more menu delights.
Party of four & first time dining at Billykart West End for all of us. Fresh & exciting menu. We ordered four different breakfast dishes and enjoyed everyone of them. On trend ambience, comfortable, friendly & professional staff. All four look forward to eating here again in the future.
Having read an article about the River Cafe in London and its influence worldwide, we were interested to see how Billykart corresponded to the fresh and simple ethos it promoted. Billykart definitely held it’s own as the food was delicious and good value. We will be coming back!
Very odd experience at Billykart. Ambiance is great and staff is friendly. Really liked how they have an open kitchen where you can watch the food being made. However - being on show, you’d want to make sure everything is perfect. My boyfriend made the comment on how the chefs weren’t wearing gloves... I turned around and checked it out and was like hmm nah it’s fine. Till we saw a chef lick sauce off his finger while preparing a plate! And then another eating a piece of chicken which fell off the plate when preparing an Uber eats order. At this stage, what’s one to do? We could only just imagine the stuff we don’t see in the kitchens of restaurants and we were bloody hungry so we ate our food anyway. Plus my boyfriend begged me to not say anything and just wanted to have a good night and leave. Still honestly shocked
So happy with our night out. Professional, quick and friendly service without being pretentious. Very tasty food and good variety on menu. Sat outside on a cosy couple's table and were even given blankets to keep warm. When paying the bill, I added an extra note by mistake. The staff chased me down to double check, rather than simply taking it!
They went above and beyond my expectations. Will definitely be back - Thank you for the wonderful evening!
Lovely table staff. AMAZING mushroom gnocchi. We ordered two main meals and a side, wait time was not long at all.
I normally enjoy eating at BillyKart but my recent experience was disappointing. It was a cool night and the doors were kept open. The wait people were quite attentive but the meals were terribly slow coming. Overall, not a particularly wonderful experience but I shall try again in time.
Lovely restaurant, good meal. Never disappointed when we dine in either Billykart.
We have been to Billykart West End several times, usually with friends. The staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. Three of us shared the most delicious platter of slow roasted lamb with eggplant and a variety of other veges. Fabulous. Not too noisy, have been there other times when it was much noisier, either way it was still possibie to chat. Teriffic night. Well done Dee and Ben.
Very enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend the restaurant.
I enjoyed the alternative menu... However not everyone at my table did.
Staff were very friendly & knowledgeable about menu options. Service was reasonable considering it was busy for mothers day.
Our food was excellent and the menu interesting comprising several dishes I wanted to try. Our service was a bit hit and miss and we did mention it to the very helpful lady who took our payment
The waitress, European (Swiss, Swedish, danish) was utterly hopeless. Couldn’t understand English. Slow and indifferent service. Wasn’t very friendly etc.
The other waitress was very good.
My kingfish in broth was over cooked and tough
Everything else was good to very good.
My wife and I come here almost every other Saturday night. We love it here, the staff are super friendly & food is always amazing too!
We have also had Billykart cater for our private functions.
A great place for coffee and meetings, burgers for lunch or a dinner for 2!!
A great meal, delicious, fresh and well presented. We enjoyed the wines - recommendations were received with thanks. Relaxed ambiance. Great, helpful staff who knew when to be present and when to provide space.
We had a get together of old school friends at Billykart and could not have picked a better place. My husband always finds background noise difficult but he said it is one of the best places he had been to hear everyone’s conversation. The food is brilliant fresh beautifully presented and tasty! The friendly staff go above and beyond even providing an extra place and room for a pram when another guest arrived later. Thoroughly recommend and will be back.
Outdoor seating available and a great way to avoid the noise level inside. Some seating is protected by foliage from the weather. Friendly and attentive staff. Definitely recommend; give it a go!
Not very attentive service but food was great as usual.
Really loved dining at Billykart West End, the service was great from the moment we arrived. Food was reasonably priced, lovely texture and different. Would come back again.
Excellent service of very flavoursome food that was presented beautifully. The wine choice could include some less expensive options.
The service was slow and we were kept waiting for too long for drinks and nearly an hour before food arrived. We were told they were particularly busy but the restaurant was only 3/4 full, no apology was made and we certainly didn't receive the level of service we would expect
Service was ordinary at the start when it is most needed. As it quietened it improved. Food was just ordinary. Unfortunately when you pay over $90 a head you just want a bit more than ordinary but it was just ordinary.
Our table was right near the kitchen and the guy yelling out all the uber orders became a little annoying. While the waitresses were lovely, service was very slow. We had to chase up a few items like drinks etc. Having eaten at Billy Cart Anerley we were a little disappointed in the narrow range on the dinner menu. We have always loved the Anerley brekkies and lunch option hence we though we would give the West End restaurant a try.
Food was nicely cooked and presented, although we were starving having approx an hour from order to meal. While I understand the business imperative to offer uber eats, it certainly detracts from the in house dining experience.
It was a very busy night, yet the service was carried out promotely, professionally and with warm smile, which is hard to find these days.
The entrees and oyster that we have were great, you could realky taste the freshness of the ingredient, but the lamb we had were what i would considered as the "left over" bit, with not a lot of meat, but rather burn skin bit.
Apart from the main meal, i have a great night out.
Great food and great restaurant to recommended to everyone
Awesome. Lovely staff and awesome food served quickly despite the restaurant being busy!
