Tried the NY steak and wow...it was impressive! As good as any major steakhouse, if not better! Chef cooked it exactly how we asked it to be prepared which is rare...so often chefs undercook and then have to send it back; perhaps because they do not trust the communication of consumers who don't truly know the meaning of the temperature they are ordering. Not us, we know and we got what we asked for. The meat was delicious. Unfortunately the menu said it came with "crispy fingerling potatoes" which would have been lovely had they also disclosed they'd be smothered in red hot pepper flakes. Yikes. Couldn't eat them...not into hot stuff. Too bad. Everything else was great, delicious and well-presented. Our server was very accommodating.
The chicken katsu was the best choice of our three entrees. Quite delicious. We didn’t enjoy the chili pork lettuce wraps. Too much sauce and a little too hot. Everything in Waikiki is expensive, so hard to say it was over priced. It was fine, but we probably would not make it our first choice. Service was good and friendly.
Ambiance was nice but the Burger meat was very greasy. Waitress didn’t ask wellness of the burger. French fries -good. Overpriced for the quality.
New flavors, every bite of our meal had a unique flavor. Even a salad was treated and prepared as if every vegetable was important. Delicious meal
The food is great at bills Waikiki but the service on this visit was poor. The waitress planted herself at one end of the table (two tables for four pushed together, to seat five people) and took the order rather than walking around to the other end where I sat. The waiter who brought my dish (full aussie) delivered it from the far end of the table, saying the plate was hot but placing it in front of the person to my left after dismissing my outstretched hands to receive it; consequently, I still had to handle it to place it in front of me. Our water was not refilled. No one came by to ask if we’d like more drinks. We felt ignored and unwelcome. The waitstaff was indifferent. We’ve had great experiences at bills Waikiki before making this last one all the more disappointing. You need to remember that customers return time and again expecting a consistent experience. As it stands now, the consensus among our group was we didn’t want to go back. To boot, the restaurant was not as busy as it has been on other visits.
Sat promply. Server could of been more attentive but overall no major complaints. Food was good. Definitely will go back to try pancakes.
This is one of my favorite places and they are consistently good, usually. The waitstaff is friendly. Only once did we experience waitstaff spending a little too much time talking with us about their life and asking rather personal questions about ours, but we know it was meant with good intention. It was a little awkward as we were looking to get back to our meal and our personal conversation and didn't really know how to send that message with kindness to our server. Otherwise it was a great evening, as usual.
Excellent service and great coffee. Perfectly poached eggs. Server readily offered to put my egg and fixings on tomato when I explained I did not want toast. Would definitely go back.
Always consistently great food here. The venue is spacious with lanai seating for people watching. Great tunes always playing at a level that doesn't compete with your dinner conversation. Waitstaff always super friendly and competent. One of my favorite restaurants in Waikiki.
One of our favorite breakfast places in Waikiki. The famous scrambled eggs, fresh vegetables, Aussie type breakfast dishes, and great coffee drinks. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The room is beautiful with super high ceilings and large open windows.
Had another great experience at Bills. Service and food was good!
Such a special breakfast! The service was wonderful, delicious food, and they even brought out a beautiful dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Amazing!
Great food and great service. A must have if ever visiting near Waikiki Beach. Pancakes were superb!
They've been in operation for five years but this was our first visit. Very good food, unique twists on farm fresh ingredients. The service was efficient but the server did not hover. Manager came by to make sure everything was going well. Music was fantastic loud enough to enjoy but quiet enough to still have a conversation. We will be back. Save room for the Ricotta Hotcakes!
The food and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend!
Being from Sydney I’ve always loved and supported Bill’s whenever I’m in Waikiki. The food is usually great and the service in the past has been brilliant. This time our food was lukewarm and the service matched. My friend had a Bloody Mary which seemed to have no alcohol in it at all (he was told it was a double shot). When we went to pay the bill the waitress stated that they had automatically added 20% gratuity, when we disagreed and said we wanted to pay less the waitress made quite a big deal of it and explained that as we were a table of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) that we should pay 20% and that by paying less it was taking money/tip away from her. If I thought that having an extra person at the table had really caused so much more trouble; and the food had been hot I may have considered a 20% tip but things were not brilliant. Would I give Bill’s another chance - yes I would as I’ve always loved it in the past, but this time it wasn’t good.
One of the best Burgers I’ve had !! Cool vibe ..
The place was only a quarter full and after eating the food and considering the value I can see why. The first course was very bland and expensive fir what was provided and my yellow curry really poor. The curry sauce was like a cheese fondue. The young lady serving us was pleasant and helpful but this was nothing like my experience with Bills in Sydney.
Bills Hawaii is our annual Easter Brunch spot and we hope that never changes! We love eating outside on the lanai and watching the tourists pass by. The service is excellent and the food is always fresh and phenomenal! Don't forget to visit the lavatory as they proudly feature Aesop's Resurrection Hand Wash!
The atmosphere is lovely and the food is amazing. Service is top notch. We liked it so much we ate there twice during our 5 days in Waikiki.
Excellent. Can’t believe this restaurant isn’t packed to the rafters. Sensational food at a very reasonable price.
Amazing service and food! Beautiful room- the downstairs entry is small with some goods for sale - once up the stairs it is awesome! Patio tables too and great bar
This is our go-to place for the best chopped salad on island. I hope they never change it and never take it off the menu. Locally sourced, nice pieces of veggies and add-ons to create your own upgraded version.
Terrific food, ambiance and service. During our stay in Waikiki we went there twice we enjoyed it so much. They have a great happy hour that let's you try a variety of choices. The ahi starter was great, as was the calamari, the chicken and the junior slider. Our entrees were very tasty. The ricotta pancake dessert was wonderful.
Nice quiet place tucked away. Some good choices on the menu. Especially liked the starters and had no room for dessert!
Non traditional menu- good fish curry!
Wonderful ambiance, food and service. Happened to hit happy hour which allowed us to try different items. The poke was very good. The yellow fish curry and chicken schitzel with creamed corn was very good as well.
Great food. Love the indoor decor, but prefer sitting on the quite outdoor balcony. Great happy hour for food and drinks!
Excellent meal. Great food and drinks. They had an interesting menu with many good choices. Everyone, including kids, were happy and full!
First of all, there wasn’t a lot of people and it still took a long time to get our food. I didn’t appreciate the fact that our male waiter wanted to bring check out before we could even take a bite. Yet he didn’t ask anyone near us if they wanted their check. We were the only African Americans in there yet he felt the need to bring our check immediately. We did have reservations, yet treated so poorly. The food is overpriced. $21 for “hot cakes” (pancakes) that he says it takes 20 minutes to make yet it arrived not even hot? One is better off going elsewhere.
Cute spot. Unbelievable coffee. Had the fresh Aussie and it was delicious. Wife did not like the French toast. Overall very good
Delicious menu for casual dining. Great happy hour prices!
