Every Bill Granger’s restaurant reflects the spirit we like to think of as ‘Australian’: sunny, easy-going and generous.

Bill opened his first restaurant in Sydney’s Darlinghurst in 1993. It soon became loved for its legendary breakfasts, served at the famous central communal table, where locals and travellers, families and friends, continue to be welcomed. Thirty years later, Bill’s relaxed, friendly and infectious joy in good, fresh food has become truly global, and is enjoyed at his restaurants in Sydney, Seoul, Tokyo and London.

Delicious lunch date with a friend at this recommended lical eatery. Great food served by warm professional staff. It can be a bit squeezy in some parts - you might be sitting very close to fellow diners.

The food was just average but the prices were anything but average. $12 for 2 pieces of toast. $32 for some bland ricotta hot cakes.

We usually love Bills Darlinghurst and my family were excited to return to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. We waited for 5 minutes at the door and were ignored. Finally a male staff member, perhaps the manager, looked at us and said ‘yes?’ Our message from that ‘Yeah, what do you want?’ We had a reservation and arrived 5 minutes before 2pm. He showed us to the table saying, hurry up and order. The kitchen closes at 2.30pm. So rude. We then proceeded to order sparkling water only to be told the soda stream was broken. I then wanted lemonade. The soda stream was broken. Our only saving grace was a delightful girl who was an art student working casually there who was very warm & friendly. Also time for Bills to change the menu. It’s getting old and tired. We will think very carefully before returning!

Loved the ricotta pancakes and Charles was his usual charming, courteous and efficient self - a study for anyone wanting to see front of house attitude and how service should be done. Wayne and Rosalind Ihaka

Bill’s food is consistently high quality but portions are smaller. Service at Darlinghurst is now bordering on rude - I have been a consistent customer for 6 years and my recent experience was the worst. Slow, then pushy (asked to vacate a booked table (we had the booking!) with no assistance to move to another spot. So disappointing.

Tried your brand in Japan , Korea and Sydney. Appreciated the menu is flexible to change option without extra cost, this is unavailable in Japan and Korea. The pancake still incredibly delicious. Your Japanese female staff conducted great customer service during the meal. Great experience with your brand.

We made a booking at 11am so when we entered the restaurant the waitress didnt say hi or anything but said “you need to wait outside and line up”. I said i made a booking and then shes like oh and took us to the table. We waited like 20mins to get some table water and get served. The food was great but the service was so so.

平日の7時30分に予約して行きました。とてもかわいい、お洒落な、明るい、思った以上に小さなレストランでした。料理は定番のフルオージーとリコッタパンケーキ&バナナ等をいただきましたが、とても美味しく、スタッフも気さくで、素晴らしい経験でした。日本にあるbillsより、混んでないしこじんまりしていて雰囲気も良いと思います。
