Switch of ownership and non-acceptance of Groupon ruined the Valentines Eve dinner. Bought Groupon for restaurant a month and half ago for Valentines Day. Upon arrival, hostess checked reservation after I showed her my confirmation and Groupon code and seated my wife and I at a small table near the street side patio doors. We were brought a special menu and drinks and water and, when ordering from special menu, wife was informed that establishment was out of pork chops. She was offered prime rib. Food was good, service sketchy as seemingly overbooked. We were supposed to get champagne, but it was never offered. Upon completion of dinner, check was presented and I reminded of Groupon for dinner expense. I was then told ownership changed and new owner would not honor Groupon full coverage of dinner as described on site. Only the $39.99 paid for the Groupon was honored. I paid $75 out of pocket to cover the balance on a deal that should have been honored in good faith by management. I won't be returning and after calling to confirm, I was told by employee that only the price of the Groupon would be honored not the special complete meal with champagne.
