   Went for a leaving lunch with 6 friends - staff very friendly and helpful. BYOB was great - a good range of lunch options in a medium or large serving choice which suited us. Very cosy and I would visit again.

   We visited the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The ribs were to die for and, as usual, the chocolate brownies were pudding lover heaven. New additions to the menu which look exciting. Will be back £70 for a fantastic 2/3 course meal for 4 including drinks. Best thing is being able to determine the size of your portion via the Bijou/Medium/Main option

   Great choice of very good food. Friendly helpful staff. Good bus service until late from right near the door. Very good value helped by their byob initiative. We will recommend The Bijou to friends and will definitely return. They all work so hard to ensure diners have an enjoyable time and deserve to do well. It is much appreciated by us.

   Excellent service and perfect ambience for a cosy winter supper. Staff very attentive and chef's dishes were perfect. Having a choice of portion size from Small to Large is definitely a plus.

   So glad that we tried this bistro. Warm welcome from the start (despite the fact that the waitor could hardly speak)...cosy intimate place. Excellent choice of food on menu and specials board. A little pricey but very large portions so worth the money. Good service, great food..would definatley recommend.

   Bijou is the perfect local restaurant - great food, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and all with a reasonable price tag. A real hidden gem that encapsulates everything that makes Leith and eating local great!

   We were served amazing food by a lovely waitress AND it was very reasonably priced....looking forward to returning soon!

   I've been here so many times for brunch, but had a great night out with friends with a delicious dinner. A lovely relaxed neighbourhood feel and funky decor, and the food was lovely. A great idea having 3 different sizes for each dish and ample servings! It's a really lovely little place that I'd have no hesitation in recommending to anyone! Weekend brunches can make it pretty busy, so be warned!
