Restaurant closed down, website not updated, allowed me to make reservations, ruined Easter brunch
I did not get to experience my reservation because the restaurant was closed on Sunday April 4th . Several families walked up and had reservations but the restaurant was closed
I have no idea how this restaurant was as when I arrived for my confirmed reservation the restaurant was closed. There was no sign to say they weren't open and no signs of having been open recently. I was lucky to be able to find another Easter brunch reservation nearby
Always great wine. Great service. Great food !
Bijans is my local. Has been for over 15 years. I’ve seen it ebb and flow, and it hurts me to see it foundering due to the pandemic. But I’m sure when weather gets a bit better, it’ll be back full strength! It’s got the best outdoor patio in the city!
We were celebrating our engagement and decided to take a trip to Chicago. Couldn’t get a table anywhere else so we said what the heck. I’m glad we did! The best cooked hamburger I’ve ever eaten. My finance’s food was so good she ordered more to eat in the middle of the night at the hotel. We will be visiting China again in two weeks and have made plans to eat here again.
The food was great, service always on point, staff welcoming and knowledgeable . I've had everything on the menu but the burger, have to go back for that.
The menu offered different items than is typically seen. All the food was excellent with substantial portions.
Limited menu but they are continuing to add to it post pandemic. Been eating here for nearly 20 years...always our "go to" nearby restaurant
Food menu was limited - not very many options. I remember it being cozier in the restaurant - too bright and the setup was strange
I was so disappointed they took the pork chop off the menu. I went for the chicken but the garlic in the sauce was so overpowering because it wasn’t cook. Aside from that, Bijan’s was good. The waitress was nice and I had fun with my friend.
I had the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had.
Had a great brunch at Bijan’s... service and food were top notch!!
The food was of good quality and volume was good too. They had a football special which we took advantage of. Half price appetizers...we had the calamari...and one of the football specials was a $10 burger and fries that was very abundant. It was probably a half pound burger. Yum, I'll be back!
Excellent food an service and prices thanks so much
Nice brunch with my beautiful wife.
Special for brunch or not formal evening dinner
The food was ok but not too exciting--a bit overpriced for what I had (tenderloin sandwich). Others seemed to enjoy the meatloaf and the duck a la orange. Staff was nice. Don't think I would have any occasion to go back.
Great little find in downtown Chicago. Nice menu with hearty portions and the service was excellent and warm. Prices were terrific as well. Felt a tad "diner-y," but the prices and quality of food makes up for any atmospheric issues. Would definitely go back.
Bijan's is a nice comfortable place with excellent food. I'll be back.
We came on a Monday night for a late dinner. We had just gotten back from a camping trip and were craving a good steak. This was one of the few places open late so we decided to give it a shot. I had their filet medallions, they were so tender and flavorful. My boyfriend got the ribeye streak which was a special for that day I believe and he enjoyed it as well. The place was quiet, probably because it was around 11pm on a Monday night but it was nice. There is a chill ambience to the place even if in passing it looks super fancy. I would definitely recommend this place.
Menu had good variety. Good flavors and arrived to table hot, which I appreciate. Generous portions but not too big. Outside eating space was just ok, should be neater and more interesting.
Great food
After a Cubs game we were looking for a nearby River North restaurant with a variety of offerings including vegetarian friendly that wasn't outrageously expensive. Bijan's filled the bill nicely. The food was very good, and the service excellent. We sat at an outdoor table on a pleasant evening. All in all it was perfect.
The food was just ok. The appetizer was over cooked.
We always eat at Bijan’s whenever in Chicago. The service is great, but the menu options are practically endless and the hours accommodate theatre devotees. Always the perfect traditional French bistro. Love Bijan’s.
This is a friendly local favorite. Easy menu, nothing fancy.
The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious!
Great service and very good food. There are a few TVs at the bar. A lot of natural light.
I always love Bijan. We've been coming here for years.
The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived at 12:15. (Made a reservation seem silly.) That being said the service was great and so was the food.
We had brunch food and salads. Very delicious. And we were also treated to a piece of cake to celebrate a birthday. We chose Bijan’s because it was a convenient location
for us. We would definitely recommend it.
Great service, food was delicious and our waitress was the best! We had blue cheese filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. We will definitely return
Both mine and my husband's food was very good. Very impressed we will be back next time we come to Chicago.
Food was good. Service left a lot to be desired. I never received my complete order and it was obvious that the waitress was unaware that she did not get our order correct.
Great atmosphere! The folks working there were lovely...just very nice and accommodating. I wish they had more vegetarian options, and there were no vegan options to speak of so maybe they will add something to their menu. :)
Amazing food, amazing service. Everything was great, highly recommend. Marie gave perfect recommendations.
Love this place! Great food for reasonable price, great happy hour (starts 3pm) and open late. Special menu for a special occasion such as St Patrick’s Day is also highly recommended!! Last but not least, they have a great host Ralph!!
Early weeknight dinner with the family.
Great food, great service, wonderful place to meet and eat
Late breakfast, it was very comfortable and not pushy service.
