This was a good restaurant, though a bit too pricey for what is delivered. Still, the food is good and, for a special occasion, I would go back.
Food was spectacular. Our waiter was amazing and knowledgeable. He treated us like royalty and his recommendations were spot on.
Celebrated an anniversary dinner and the experience could not be any better. The food was outstanding and the chef even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert plates. Outstanding food and outstanding service. Highly recommend this restaurant !
A little hard to find the location since it is kind of hidden, but the atmosphere was great and the riverwalk view was a plus. The food was amazing and delicious.
Great food and service! Also worth commenting on the beautiful decor that sets a romantic ambiance! Worth recommending!
The food is good as was the service, but overall the menu is limited and we felt a little over-rated and over-priced. The decor is a bit dated, but overall the ambience is relaxing, clean and modern.
We celebrated our first anniversary there and the staff were wonderful as well as the food and we loved having a semi-private table.
Food was outstanding. Perfectly prepared and delicious. I would have given this restaurant five stars had it not been for our server. He interrupted my guests multiple times, contradicted them after listening to our conversation, and then argued about our menu selections. We wanted the souffle for desert which takes about 20 minutes to prepare. We ordered early and he insisted we review the other selections. We chose two and loved the souffle. After arguing with my guests he then ignored us for the rest of the evening and we poured our own wine from the bottle. lol!!! After a while, we just laughed at how ridiculous the situation was, but this is not what I wanted for my guests. This was supposed to be a lovely evening, my treat. Evening would have been perfect if not for our server...
Value was poor. Portions were small and prices were not. Service was very good. Their rating on many sites is overstated.
Chris our waiter was outstanding! The food was delicious, they have an extensive wine list, and you must try the sticky toffee pudding. A lovely evening!
It’s always a great experience for us. That’s why we keep coming back. Our waiter that we enjoy Casey is always friendly and on point with suggestions. The back room had a big table going on and at times got a little loud but it didn’t ruin our night out. The food is always delicious and fresh.
We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and our server Chris was attentive, knowledgeable and ensured our meal was enjoyable.
Tenderloin for kids with side and desert at $14 was outstanding food and price!!! What a great thing to feed kids so we’ll for such a low price! Tenderloin for adult more expensive but still outstanding food and worth the high price with excellent tasty side vegetables. Mahi-Mahi looked small for price but was outstanding and it was enough. The stuff underneath should be changed to something better (maybe garlic mash potatoes to improve.). I should have passed on the mushroom/asparagus side (taste was too plain.) The kid’s pasta was okay, but should have gone for another kid’s tenderloin. (Wish I was a kid, I’d order that kid’s tenderloin and desert all year long!). All-in-all high price but worth it. Glad we went, especially with the kids.
Ambiance, food...service! A combination not often found in dining! This old favorite still shines! A gem on the river walk!
Nice place for upscale meal away from the crowded walkway.
We had an early reservation and the noise level was minimal. At the approach of the end of the dinner, it got louder, but not overly so. Food and service were exceptional and it will be ne of the recommended eateries for San Antonio visits.
Restaurant was an amazing find on the beautiful Riverwalk. Price fix menu was a choice of excellent options. Food was wonderful and the service outstanding. The best mojito I have ever had.
Great food and wonderful location. Will go there again when in San Antonio.
I feel this was one of the best experiences I’ve had dining out. I was reminded of the dinners I’ve had at Windows on the World, and the Rainbow Room. The service, provided by Gabriel, was top notch! Gabriel really made the dining experience that much more memorable. The meal was extraordinary from the appetizers, (Bibb and radicchio game packets) the entré, (11-spiced Texas Axis venison and grilled Bandera quail) and the dessert (Grand Marnier Soufflé with orange anglaise). I will go back to Biga on the Banks, no questions asked, no hesitation. (No, the venison was not gamey. It was perfectly prepared and filet minion tender.)
The staff was extremely welcoming and very thoughtful. They truly allow you to have a very great experience!
Absolutely perfect. Highly recommend it
Our server Rob was the BEST!!! Commentary glass of champagne and great recommends! The entire staff was amazing and the food was to die for!!! Anytime in San Antonio you got to stop by and treat yourself to this place. Fine dining that won't leave a hole in your pockets!
Great food, great service
Celebrated my mother's birthday dinner at one of her favorite restaurants. All five of us had a half portion (really the prefect amount of food - such a good idea) plus shared a range of side dishes. The lamb and the venison/quail were outstanding, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also always love the salmon nachos! Wine was delicious and affordably priced. Service was impeccable - every questioned answered. Biga made sure to make us feel special with a window table, and a special dessert presentation. Wonderful night!
We arrived at 7pm and right away were seated, given drinks, ordered. We received our first course very timely. However we waited 70 minutes between the salad and the main course. I’m not sure what happened. But both tables on either side of us were seated after us and received their food. One table actually finished their meal before we ever received ours. The waiter was very gracious/apologetic. The general manager did give us a discount off the main course, which was appreciated given the circumstances. However he was very smug and wore a smirk on his face the entire time we spoke to him. We were not rude, just sharing our experience. He didn’t really seem to be to concerned and blamed it in the waiter. I shared that I was not looking to place blame rather share the disappointment so this doesn’t happen again. I’m very glad the food was delicious, that was the saving grace of our experience.
Great atmosphere, great food and great service... a big thanks to Chris Sanders
Some of the best food we’ve had in Adam Antonio and service was exceptional!
Great. Loved it. Will come again. Beef tips terrific!
Very good food and service!
Chris was out waiter, and he was fabulous! Great value - 3 course meal for $39 if you eat from 5:30-6:30.
The food was divine! Ribeye melted in your mouth. The venison and the quail was the best I've ever eaten.
Biga is a great place to dine. The food and service were perfect and you can’t beat the location.
Best meal we had in San Antonio! Beau was a superb waiter.
Very elegant restaurant with amazing staff! Only complaint was the soup.. sorry it was very bland! Other than that we enjoyed our dinner and will return when we are able to get away❤️
Biga never disappoints. Menu always changing and the food is fabulous. Top notch restaurant!
The Axis and Quail were excellent. A cold Coors Light would have been nice to have but they don't carry it.
Get the tasting menu!
My wife and I love coming to Biga on the Banks. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly and the food is always amazing and delicious.
Food was not good! I definitely would not recommend.
Very cozy, great for dates. Food quality is good too.
