Great place for Brunch. Staff very attentive. You never feel rushed.

Table for 7 was awkward and waiter a bit distracted but food was really good with no need for appetizers given the large portions. Skip dessert.

Great, attentive staff and short wait time for the food that we ordered. A bit on the loud side but otherwise a great time! Will definitely come back!

The ambiance was great. The food was great. Unfortunately our server was a hot mess. He dropped water on a poor customer. He forgot our drinks. He made our service a bit bitter in our mouths but the food made up for it.

It was my second time eating there. We went for a birthday brunch. The hostess seated me even though my entire party wasn't there. The server was patient because we had to wait for the rest of the group to order. Boozy brunch was good.

There was not enough staff on schedule. Told them we had a reservation, and they asked three times what name it was under, and they weren't busy when we got there.
There were more staff members sitting at the counter BSing than there were working. The guy making the shakes was complaining about why so many customers were ordering shakes and from the tables you were also able to hear him curse. It took 30 minutes just for the shakes to come out. Food was very good but service was just horrible. Seemed like only one waitress was on top of her tables.

Incredibly slow service. One meal arrived 10 minutes after everyone and last meal arrived 20 minutes after. Soup that was supposed to come out first didn’t come out until after.

Good food but horrible service. Waiter was surly and food took forever to come. Almost an hour. Don’t go unless you like to wait.

Horrible experience. Touristic dirt place with no customer service.
I had a table booked but when I arrived there were no tables available.
I waited on the side for a seat, but then the other waiter offered a table to a family who just came through the door.
I was upset and they promised me I was going to have next available table.
Guess what, they forgot about me again and gave the table to other people
Worst of all, I was upset and seemed like they didn’t care much.

Service leaves much to be desired, but the vibes are fun and the food is decent!

We had reservations and were seated right away. Amazing food, loved the fun vibe and service was outstanding. To top it off we saw a celebrity family.

Great local 'diner' with lots of atmosphere and good food. Wide range of items on the menu. We've never been disappointed!

Very good service. The waiter who greeted me was very professional , warm and welcoming. The food was very good, the music was pleasing and at a good level. The decoration is an overload to your senses but historically entertaining. It may take sometime for your order to be taken because the waiters are way too busy during lunch time, but I would definitely go back.

Slowest service ever. We were seating upstairs and it seemed like they forgot we were there. The food was fine, nothing special. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more if we hadn’t been sitting in the hot booth for 3 hours.

It's a theme diner, but not a bad one. The food is OK, the choices are ample. Large menu. But you're paying for the gimmick, so the price tag is inflated. Still, with kids, a safe bet as they'll have fun here.

Prior to our visit to New York, I looked online for cool kid friendly restaurants and found Big Daddy’s Diner, and boy was I happy I did. The food was awesome, they staff was super friendly and attentive and my kids loved the music. We loved it and would definitely come back!!

The food was really good, no complaints about that, the only downside was that my friends and I felt the food took a little long. The table that was next to us which was a family got their food and ate and left before we got anything and our waitress never checked up on us. She was perfectly nice in the beginning and said she’d give us a few minutes to decide what to order but then didn’t come back for a while and I didn’t see her. When the food did come it all tasted really good, but the milkshakes didn’t look like what we thought. I could be wrong but I thought the milkshakes come with some decoration around the rim of the cup and I saw other guests have it but none of ours did, so we kind of felt like they didn’t care so that was a little bit of a bummer since I came for my birthday and we felt like we were just left behind. It’s not something I would bring up to a waitress because it’s just presentation and I don’t want to be a bother, but when you advertise a drink to look a certain way and it doesn’t come that way it’s a bit disappointing. We basically didn’t see our waitress again so I don’t know what happened. It probably is just this one waitress not the restaurant over all. Keep in mind it wasn’t super busy but I would totally understand if she just came by to just say it might take a little while because I know things happen that customers don’t see. Nothing super bad but little details like that I think make a difference.
