Big City Tavern - Las Olas

What a terrific experience. The noise was loud but it was also Christmas on Las Olas.

We 3 were pleasantly surprised by the terrific food and service on such a busy night!

my last visit to this place was horrible. They sat me a table in a corner by the kitchen, the worst location possible. When I asked to be moved ( not too friendly host) the excuse they gave me was that somebody else had reserved that table which I don't think is true. The waitress was nice and efficient but the food took forever. My pasta wasn't cooked all the way it was so hard to eat. I would not recommend this place as a right now especially when there are so many options in Las Olas

Delicious food in a trendy setting. Entrees scallops and snapper were outstanding. Generous portions of main courses and sides (potatoes and mixed vegetables). Service was good. Ate outside on pleasant night to take in Las Olas vibe. Would definitely return.

For seven years when we lived on Los Olas we were regulars. I haven't been back since moving to Parkland. We were seeing a play, and went in for a quick bite. We were very disappointed. The chicken wings, and caesar salad were tasty, but small portions for the price. Five chicken wings for $13.00 is pricey to me. The calamari was close to the same price, and terrible. Portion ok, but mushy and very fishy. Overall, we were quite disappointed with the food. The service was great.

We always have dinner here before we head out on a cruise. Food is exceptional and the service, perfect. We look forward to our next visit to Ft. Lauderdale and continuing out tradition of dinner at Big City Tavern!

Outstanding as always: the service is great, the ambiance is inviting and the food is always delicious! Their donuts are hard to beat and always different, this week was pumpkin spice donut: delicious!

Isaac at the bar pre table was great. Made some fantastic drinks for our group. The table service from Zor did not disappoint. We never wanted for anything. The scallop risotto was great.

Kitchen messed up our order and manager didn’t offer to make it right. Service was slow and inattentive and the place was not crowded. I’ll never go there again.

This was a nice restaurant, the food and drinks were good, the waiter we had could benefit from additional training in customer service though.

Always consistent, highest quality food and drinks, albeit on the pricey side. But it is in the heart of Las Olas so prices / value is on par with other establishments on the strip. Weather you are out just for drinks with the gang midweek, or a Saturday night 5 course dinner with that someone special, Big City Tavern is always a winner!

Girls night out!!! Great food and wine. Wait staff very good. Can’t wait to go and try their Sunday brunch!

Had a n wonderful dinner. We had the Rigatoni Bolanagese, Roasted Scallops with Risotto and the Swordfish special.
All three were enjoyed by each member of our party.
Each dish was special in their taste and presentation.

I have never had a bad meal here. It’s great to grab a nice lunch with friends there or to go out with friends for dinner. It’s a Little on loud side but if your looking fir good food and a fun atmosphere this is a great spot. Also good for watching a game at the bar on tv.

I made a reservation on line for a table. When we arrived, we asked about the happy hour which is only at the bar. They had no problem allowing us to move to the bar. The service was friendly and the food and drinks were great. We will be back

Big City is classic American food, steaks and seafood. Our dinners were delicious. Excellent service.

Great food, outstanding service from our server. Had the eggplant sandwich which was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Super fun place!

Food was amazing like always. Noise was louder than normal but still great atmosphere. Made reservations hours in advance. Host put us at a table in the corner next to a table that had too many chairs so I had to ask the woman to move her seat to get into my seat. The woman was a horrible human being and made a big deal about it. But truthfully that shouldn’t have been my job to ask her to move. If Big City was going to allow 5 people at 4 person table they should have asked the woman to move.

Always a reliable place to eat. Food is consistently good. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Go for a date, with friends, etc. Can't go wrong here.

I ordered a hamburger that was like a hockey puck the server was sweet enough but never came around after the food was dropped off to see how everything was overall it was a bad experience

OUTSTANDING! Alexia was amazing, going back really soon. We had an incredibly chill time!

We arrived a few minutes late for our reservation but were seated right away. The waitress was attentive but did seem a little rushed. A party of about 15 people came in and this made the noise level very loud. The food came in a timely manner and was good. I would recommend one of the pizzas. I would recommend this restaurant to others.

Leaking AC dripped on to me throughout service. Condensation also leaked onto the table landing in food.

Went with a group of 7, service was outstanding and as always the food was delicious.

Extremely loud table. Girl was yelling screaming etc.

Enjoyed the frozen rose cocktail, short ribs and appetizers. The kitchen has a couple options for kids if you ask, but there’s no kids menu. We ate on the patio and enjoyed people watching. No complaints. Highly recommended.

It was our first time and we absolutely loved it, its a little overpriced for being a tavern bit the food was delicious and our waitress Roxanne did an outstanding job!

A classic , everything there is perfect. Very good service also

Big City has delicious food and good service. The skirt steak is tasty and tender. The fish special was a crispy snapper and vegetables. Wonderful and fresh.

The food was really good but the service was extremely poor. There were 5 of us that went in with a bachelorette and that didn't even prompt good service. The bride's Bellini was essentially just champagne but otherwise the food was very good. The service really tainted the entire experience though. Our server didn't bring drinks when we asked, never came to check on us and we constantly had to flag him down, even to get our check.

Love it there! Food is amazing, servers are very professional and attentive, yet fun. My favorite place to bring out of town guests!!! The Tequila Mockingbird will always bring me back!
