Hosts were terrible. Made a reservation for 3, when I got there they tried to put us in a booth even though i told them I had back issues and had a back brace on... I asked to be seated at a table and they said a few would be getting up soon and they would call when ready. 40 minutes later and with 4 empty tables they still didn't call me. I had to go up to the host stand who were busy talking and had to point out all the open tables to finally be Sat. Was a regular for brunch, not so much anymore after this
Service was a little slow - not the usual. But you can count on the food always being great!
Our waitress was amazing! Will definitely go back.
friends night out... couples. We had a nice table between inside and out. Service was very good she was attentive and pleasant. Food was delish. We all enjoyed ourselves. We come here often.
Ourms cond time and must was even better. There were four of us and everyone enjoyed all the courses served. The red snapper was superb as well as the other entrees. We loved the scallop appetizer. Some of the best scallops we’ve ever had. This is a great location on Las Olas. We had an outdoor table which really added to the party atmosphere of our evening. Finally our service was truly outstanding. She accommodated some substitutions that really added to our meal and her wine suggestion were excellent. Big City Tavern is on our “must go” list for FLL dining.
Big City has consistent good food and service. We had the skirt steak and the fresh grilled salmon. Both were excellent. Our server was very good and our meal was really a nice experience.
Come here for great food, little lax on the kitchen time, but servers are awesome!
We had a $50 voucher for the restaurant hence our meal out. The food was average apart from the crab cake which was really awful. How do you screw up crab cakes? Our server Mario didn’t smile the whole evening. There are so many great restaurants on Las Olas (LObster Bar and Sea Grill, Louis Bossi) why go here? Needless to say we wont be back..
Great Food as usual
Fun Place to go to with friends
Great brunch menu, food was fast and good for the most part. Potatoes were rushed and a bit undercooked. Good deal on buttomless mimosas, but they need to add more champagne than OJ.
Big city offers consistent delicious meals with generous portions and good service. We had the fish special of the day which was a sautéed snapper with fresh vegetables. It was delicious and generous in portion. Service is always excellent and the atmosphere lively and engaging. We always look forward to going back to big city on Las Olas Blvd. for a fun time and a delicious dinner experience
Great experience 😊
Birthday celebration. Fun I’d was great and service was even better
Went for brunch with friends this was my second time there, love the waffles and the house made sausage, to die for! My friend had a delicious omelet that came with a salad and a house made vinaigrette which was also spectacular! If you come for brunch come early the better because by noon it's jam packed. Happy eating!
Food was so good I had the pork chop very tasty and well cooked. Service was prompt.
We had to add an extra person to the table and the hostess was very accommodating!!
From the very beginning they accommodated our party of 10 without fuss. And our table was great along with amazing service and food. Thanks for making our vacation a great one....even when half our party was kids :))))!
Our food was fine, but our service was lackluster. Our waitress ignored us, ignored dirty dishes that piled up after our appetizers, and certainly didn’t come around to see if we needed anything after our food was delivered. I would have liked another beer and possibly some ketchup for my fries, not going to happen lol. Oh well, there’s lots of other places to try anyway.
I really enjoyed Big City Tavern. It was my first visit and I had dinner with a friend from out of town. First, we were late for our reservation because of the construction in the area. I called and let them know. Once we arrived, they were able to eat us within a few minutes - in spite of the crowd - and there were friendly and courteous as they were showing us to our table.
Next, the menu was fun and different - loved the mix of flavors in the curry shrimp appetizer and both the scallops and the duck confit that my friend and I had for entrees. The Rose that we selected from the wine list went well with the meal.
The service was good - Jaime - our server - managed to provide just the right amount of "interruptions" - enough to keep our wine glasses filled and to see if we needed anything, but not so much that we couldn't enjoy our conversation.
All in all a great evening. I would definitely recommend Big City Tavern to my friends.
I like the skirt steak cooked just right with the kale ceasar. I sub ff for plantains
Great food and very great service. The short ribs are awesome and I can tell that everything at BCT is great. We loved the food and drinks. Chef , bartender, and our great server pro made our visit great. Thanks for your hard work. We look forward to visiting again.
We had an enjoyable lunch at Big City. Food is always above average and plentiful. Service is quite attentive. But what I've noticed over the years is that the restaurant is starting to need a face lift.
The chairs we sat in were tattered and we sunk in as we sat. It's time to update!
Server forgot to offer the free bread/butter; never shared the daily specials as other servers did with other guests. Expensive check total for what was ordered. Pleasant atmosphere but will not return.
Big City Tavern never disappoints! Great cocktails, food, and service.
Good food, but very expensive for a casual dinner.
This was the perfect place for my bachelorette! Everyone loved the food and unlimited mimosas!
Great experience! My wife and I started with the cheeseboard and then had short ribs and swordfish from the specials menu. Expect to pay a little more since it is on Las Olas, but the food and experience was worth it.
Dinner with friends
We ate there on a Sunday in early July with our 4 year old twins while on vacation from NYC, and it was perfect. Both the kid’s menu items we selected and our dinner was fantastic. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere chill. I cannot comment on how things are during high season, but we really enjoyed ourselves. There were was a nice mix of families, friends and couples dining that evening.
As always spectacular across the board! Our "go to" place whenever we are in town!
Big City Tavern is my favorite Sunday brunch go to with friends. The food is consistently great. They don’t rush you out to turn a table. The atmosphere is fun!! Recommend it for all meals!!
Service was great and food was excellent. I asked for a seat close to the game And they were very acomidating
Always nice and good quality, vibrant and popular site location and atmosphere
Love this place, especially for brunch and good cocktails. Food is always good and great atmosphere.
We recently took my parents for their anniversary dinner but did not realize it would be so loud on a weeknight! We were seated in the back near a big long table with very high-pitched young women talking made it difficult for us to hear ourselves. As one of my favorite restaurants I was not as happy with the food on this visit two of the items we have ordered before (the tuna and scallops risotto) tasted quite different (spicy)and although the manager offered to make something else in substitution we turned it down and made do with what we had.
Good menu selection for dinner. Lots of appealing options. Big portions. We had dinner salads: shrimp and spinach salad, and a Greek salad with sliced skirt steak. Wonderful. Fresh. Plentiful. Also came with fresh bread baked on site. Good beers and cocktails. We liked the big, comfortable booth we got inside.
First time there for brunch. The food was great and reasonably priced. The truffle cheese fries were unreal. Unlimited mimosas is the ticket for brunch. The servers always kept the glass full. Our waitress was the real deal and super nice. Highly recommend for brunch and will definitely be back!
This has become one of our go-to restaurants on Las Olas. Consistently good with fair prices for the area.
Server was slow and would not come around. We would have ordered more if she would have come by. Food is good though.
So consistent, wonderful menu, the Truffle Fries are the best as is the Rare Tuna Salad. One of my most favorite places as always know the meal will be awesome and worth the value.
