Big City Tavern is a busy, vibrant restaurant reminiscent of the great urban taverns of Chicago, New York and Boston. A stylish, classic American restaurant, Big City offers a varied menu featuring dry aged steaks, burgers, fresh seafood, salads and fresh house-made pasta of the day. Some of the more popular dishes are the Pan Roasted Salmon with Tomato and the House-Made Charcuterie. The desserts are all enticing, all house made and all delicious.     My recent visit to Big City Tavern was a huge disappointment. I initially ordered a dish featuring meatballs, but to my surprise, the meatballs were served undercooked. I immediately sent the plate back and decided to go with a safer option—a well-done, 10oz burger with cheddar cheese. Unfortunately, this decision only led to more frustration. The wait for my replacement meal was excruciatingly long. I was with a party of eight, and by the time everyone else at the table had finished their meals, my burger had still not arrived. I had to remind the waiter about my order, and she informed me that they were still cooking it. It ended up taking nearly an hour before my burger finally arrived, only to be served cold and with the wrong cheese. I sent the burger back again, at which point the manager came over to try to justify the delay, claiming that a 10oz burger “takes a while” to cook. I replied that it should never take an hour to prepare, and unfortunately, the manager had no response to this. The entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. Poor service, long wait times, and multiple errors with my order made what should have been an enjoyable night out a major letdown. I do not plan to return.

    Brunch was alright, food definitely nothing special but cheap drinks are flowing and they move quick with the all you can drink mimosas, but took forever to get service.

    We ordered a pizza and 2 kid meals - mac and cheese and chicken tenders. The kids loved theirs ... plentiful servings! The server brought the pizza but left before offering red pepper or grated cheese. Had to wait about 5 min until he checked back on us. Pizza was actually really good once we started. Asked for table near sidewalk, but family was given a table 4 rows back.. not busy for a Sat night! Just need to work on details
