Big Bowl Ridgedale
Great food! Tried the seasonal Banana Cheesecake that was awesome.
Great server, Erika!!
Waited 45 minutes after our reservation to finally get our table. Apologies multiple times from the Manager and he gave us a couple of free apps. Still, what's the purpose of having a reservation if it is not honored? Service was abysmal. Server was too busy and just wasn't around to take care of us. Food temperature was lukewarm, but we were so hungry, we just ate. Just not an impressive dining experience at all. No reason to go back.
They did not register my lettuce points after the meal. The meal itself was delicious as always
Went to celebrate a birthday with 4 of us dining. We arrived just a touch early for our reservation. The host was terse and not welcoming he waved us over to some extra chairs in a hall. The group that followed us were welcomed into the bar and were served drinks and given menus. After a wait we were seated, IN THE BAR! No server for us though. After a long wait the bartender came to ask if anyone had been by and we said, no.
He took drink orders and asked if we needed more time, again no. We all knew what we wanted. He asked if we wanted soy sauce and hot sauce, we said, yes. It never came. I ended up getting up and asking for some after the food arrived. The bartender was nice and I left him a nice tip but we were clearly not a priority or even a second thought to anyone in the restaurant. As an aside, the bartender’s clothing was filthy, very unappetizing.
We had our usual delicious and healthy bowls for dinner. Got to share with good friends. Wonderful evening.
Love Big Bowl. We are from out of town and do not have a chance to visit often. When we lived in the Twin Cities we dined there often. Food is outstanding. We are never disappointed.
really good stir fry bar, fabulous waitress, great lunch spot to meet
Everything at the stir fry bar was fresh and abundant. The options for vegetables are always awesome. I always order the stir fry and the choices of sauces, rice and noodles are great.
We dined at Big Bowl on New Year's Eve. The service was not good. People who were seated after us recieved their appetizer before us. (same wait staff person). Our main dish was luke warm. My husband noticed that it was sitting at the counter for quite awhile before it was sent to the table. We didn't have the best dining experience. Also most of the appetizers we wanted to order were not available. I don't think the restaurant was prepared for diners that night.
We always enjoy our visit at the Big Bowl and look forward to eating there again soon.
Excellent food— every time!
Every thing is very good except the waiting time . Even after reserving the table an hour before through opentable we have waited for 15 mins to get a table after reaching there by time.
I took my daughter to Big Bowl for her birthday. We made a reservation for 5:00 pm via OpenTable. We were seated right away and the restaurant was not too busy when we got there. Our service was extremely good, the waiter refilled my drink several times without being asked. We both ordered the build-your-own stir fry. There were many delicious options at the build-your-own station. The only think I would have liked that wasn't there was tomatoes. The szechuan sauce on our food and the parmesan crusted chicken were fabulous. I highly recommend Big Bowl.
We had a great, last minute family dinner at Big Bowl Ridgedale. Good service and tasty eats. We always do the make your own stir fry and come home with leftovers.
Cashew tofu was extremely spicey. Server said it comes that way. Disappointed.
Consistently fresh and tasty food with above average service. One of my favorite places for Thai / Asian.
Love this location. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Not to mention the food always comes out hot and fresh 😋
Everything was great
The one thing that was noticeable was the smell of the fish. When we were leaving the aromas that hit us we’re overwhelming (in a bad way). We are still talking about it 2 days later.
Great time with great friends!
I've been to Big Bowl over a hundred times, and this isn't an exaggeration. But this time was different - I have a broken left foot so I was using a scooter, and the restaurant is far from handicap friendly. The restaurant door was closed, and there was a no host at the entrance till I entered. Using the bathroom is even more challenging. The Thai Basil Chicken recipe seems to have changed because it didn't taste anything like I have tasted before but it was still decent.
Just came for dinner love the teriyaki’s chicken fried y
I Did ask specifically for a candle in a piece of chocolate fudge cake. This was overlooked, and no one gave a reason. I thought it was a pretty small thing to ask . To be fair, the host said happy birthday to my husband when he seated us.There’s obviously a disconnect between the app and the servers.
Food was good, as it always is.
I love the stir-try bar!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Unfortunately, the worst waitress we have ever had. Thankfully management seemed receptive:)
Awesome server, thank you again! Food was wonderful always enjoy going to big bowl
Big Bowl is always very consistent. I switched it up this time for Mongolian Beef. The flavor is excellent, very fresh scallions, tender steak, and great sauce. Also had the squash soup - outstanding. Very good food! Service was also very good!
Service and food were great. Pretty noisy but expected that on a Friday night.
My "Birthday Buddy" and I went for our annual birthday lunch together. We loved our meal and had a great visit. I tried the Shrimp Stir-Fry bar and it was awesome!
My family and I have been to Big Bowl dozens of times since it first opened at Ridgedale. It is one of our favorite meal destinations. But Friday night we were less than happy with our experience since we let ourselves get talked into sitting in a booth in the bar area. Being seated there, it was noisier than usual and though he wears hearing aides, my husband struggled to follow the conversation at times. Our main concern though was the fact that a family of 7 or 8 people was seated on the high top tables along the wall, all of them facing the bar but really facing us. It felt as though they were staring at us while they waited for their food because I suppose they really had nowhere else to look. Because they were spread out along the wall, it looked as though it was hard for them to just converse with each other. I will definitely keep this experience in mind for future trips to Big Bowl.
It was a fairly busy night but the restaurant was not staffed adequately. There were several parties with reservations waiting to be seated and the servers were spread thin. Four of us ordered the stir fry bar and they were served very dry like they hadn’t been cooked with much sauce. Had to ask several people for more sauce, since our server was busy. Was told they had to make it from scratch so we waited to eat our food that was already sitting in front of us. The food just wasn’t as good this night. It’s an expensive dinner for being sub par service and food.
Always a great meal!
Always live big bowl
Best Asian casual dining restaurant and as always food is great.
The food was good however the noise level made it difficult to hear conversations at the table.
As a family, we truly enjoy our dinners at Big Bowl. Actually, a favorite place for many.
I've decided this is currently my FAVORITE place to eat out!!
This used to be a favorite place to go but in recent years it has gone down hill.
I no longer recognize the food. My sesame chicken was overpowered with some type of gloppy sauce that I didn't recognize and there appeared to be bits and pieces from some other dish included.
The ambiance seems tired and worn down from what it used to be.
I always liked the zippy special ginger ale they served. This time it was watery and had no tangy zip.
First time to this location though long-time patron of the brand. Seemed to arrive at a peak time but no excuse for waiting to be sat, then waiting for even water. It was exactly 20 minutes after arriving that water appeared on the table. No manager in-sight (rare for any Lettuce Entertain You property) until later when, with oversight and an extra pair of hands, things were decidedly better. Food, as always, was outstanding. Great flavors and value-for-money. Watching service, our table and elsewhere, made me give 4 stars not the usual 5 but hopefully that was just a one-time exception. To be safe though, perhaps next visit to the Twin Cities I'll go back to the Edina location.
