Great location that checks all boxes: Great food, great service, decent value (a little pricey but quality of food and service make up for it). Walking distance to and from all the primary places of interest for folks visiting Toronto wanting to get a Jays game in, catch a concert at Budweiser Stage, visit Ripley’s Aquarium or see the CN Tower, all accessible by short walk right from Union Station. The Bier Markt on The Esplanade is a great place for anyone who wants a good beer with good food, before or after a day of doing all the fun stuff there is to do in Toronto.

Overall, everything was excellent. Service was great for the most part, only reason I gave it 3 was because it took forever between getting our drinks and the server taking our order (and it wasn’t very busy yet - early on a Thursday, about 5pm). Then we ordered an appetizer - pretzels, nothing complicated. Finally came at the exact same time as our dinner (burgers). The food itself was very good, server was friendly, overall experience was good. Would go back!

Nice to have a place that will take a reservation on game nights!! Too many will just leave you outside wondering if you're going to get in, or have to buy a 10 dollar cold hotdog in the arena.

I am sad to write that my family and I had an absolutely horrendous experience here on the weekend. It wasn’t busy at all, yet we had atrocious service. We had to ask for a refill 4x, if took forever to order, the food when we got it was redeemable for some and sub par for most. But the service was by far the biggest issue. Still in disbelief. Will not be back.

Go there before Leafs games on a regular basis but last night was disappointing. Had to go to my fifth choice of beers off the menu before they had one in stock, this is the Bier Market! Then to top it off my first choice for dinner was out of stock. I would have left had it not been for the fact all the places in the neighbourhood were booked prior to the game.

My friend and I were in a bit of a hurry because of construction delays getting to the restaurant, and we had a 7pm show to get to, and the staff were super helpful in ensuring our meals came out promptly so we weren’t delayed. Thank you!!

Ordered nachos, 2 guac burgers, 1 schnitzel sandwich and the only thing that came out ok was the schnitzel. The burgers were dry and chewy and the nachos were just downright horrible as the chicken on top was flaky it was so dry barely any cheese and the serving size was embarrassingly small. We all ate as we were hungry and were tight on time as we were heading to the basketball game but overall our experience was not good I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The renovation of this place looks great - much better than before. Service and food was wonderful. Ambiance fairly quiet which was nice. If you're there for a game, they've got a great screen set-up. Worth the trip.

Very disappointed with the reservation process. When we arrived , they said they had no reservation for us yet they called me during the day to confirm and I had a confirmation number. Never using open table again. Restaurants seem to just avoid and cancel them when they feel. They seem to hate your app. Now I do too. Either find out why they didn't have our reservation from us and why they said that or I'm permanently deleting your App. William Ribaric

A friend and myself were going to a show at meridian hall. Decided to check out Biere Market and it was a perfect choice. Great food, huge selection of drinks and the service was polite and quick. We didn’t feel rushed out and had a great experience.

We booked here for our 28th First Date Anniversary (we both really love schnitzel, and theirs is always great!). To start with, we were initially seated at a high top table in the bar area. Given the celebration, we requested a seat change to a booth (and were accommodated, so that was good, the initial choice just baffled us). Our server was very pleasant, but truthfully, very slow. There were long periods of time during which we didn’t see him at all. The food was excellent, beautifully prepped and seasoned. We just were disappointed with the service. It’s making us hesitate to return any time soon.
