This was our second visit of this holiday. We loved it and the two waitresses who served were excellent. However the dark haired girl behind the bar doing drinks with the stretched ear lobes? was not so friendly. We were sat in a draft as we were near an open door, I asked if it was due to Covid it was open, to which she replied “no it’s hot working in here” I asked if it could possibly be closed over a bit, to which she ignored me! So, our food went cold very quickly
Great bar friendly staff and amazing beer would highly recommend
We booked through trip advisor to
Turn up on the evening and it was closed due to an illness. The booking system should have been turned off! There was another couple waiting outside with us too.
Great place with great food and customer service was fabulous. Always visit when in St Ives and never disappoints.
This place is excellent. Warm welcome great staff and excellent food . Highly recomended
Really lovely food and beer and excellent / attentive service from the chap looking after us
Thanks for a great visit
This is our 3rd time with you and we are booked in again next week.
Last nights service was absolutely faultless. Marcelle was fun, polite, informative to our questions and genuinely one of the nicest waiters we have had. He’s a credit to your restaurant.
The food was excellent, although I’d looked on line before we came and it appears it’s not correct?
I’m a very fussy eater, so had to think on my feet when our order was being taken. Marcelle again was helpful advising me.
The atmosphere and decor is just wonderful…a very relaxing evening all round.
Obviously the beer is fabulous. The food mainly tapas and small plates, but also mussels with various flavors. Service good and friendly but our entrees arrived at the same time as our mains. The tables are not anywhere near 1 meter apart and are too small for the racks of beer and plates and cutlery box when food arrives.
It was, however, a very pleasant experience and we have booked to go again. Definitely worth a visit. (Or two)
Superb place. Thankyou
Lovely food fantastic service and good value just a brilliant evening
I was a bit unsure about the menu when booking but as others in the group thought it would be ok, we went ahead. The food was great! Moules were beautiful, but I do feel the menu lacks larger portions with most of the plates being tapas. We filled up frites!
Maybe offer some of your tapas menu in larger portions?
Standard of food and service great though!
good atmosphere, nice tapas, lovely beers. would recommend a visit
As always we had a great night out. Would recommend.
Lovely place, lovely staff, great beer but food a bit disappointing.
Been here 3 times now over the last year and likely won't be back with the latest menu. Previously when there were more set meals, it was much more accessible for pickier eaters (Wife) and a decent selection for kids. Now with only really able to choose from the tapas style range, there wasn't a proper meal to be had apart from the mussel. And to add to this, the latest menu seemed really bad value for money. £4.80 for 2 haluomi dippers is awful. The quality of food is decent and don't go out to eat looking for a bargain. But felt like we were very dissaopinted with portion size based on price. The strengths are still brilliant, beer and waffles were Brill. But we won't be back again due to poor meal options and value for money.
Nice to try different beers and nice to be served in accompanying glass. Food was nice and staff pleasant
Great beers. Average food. Our food was forgotten and the team dealt with it very well and we're generous with taking money off bill so made up for that but the 4.85 per dish and these dishes are very small and a bit cold. Next timE we will just order beers and chips.
Fantastic place to eat & drink. Service was excellent. Food was great, if a bit pricey.
They have just changed to a tapas style restaurant. The selection is pretty good, but it’s all thrown at you in one go. We had a 7.45pm booking; we were told that the coffee machine was to be switched off, and all seemed rather rushed. The waitress was rather rude when we made suggestions. We then cancelled our further booking.
Lovely evening with fab food and strong beer 😀
Brilliant food drinks, amazing staff was very helpful had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend
We arrived at 4:30 for a table booked for 4:45pm and were told that only nibbles were available not the whole menu which was fairly limited in any event. The place is mainly a beer kellar with an extensive range of Belgian beers. After 15 minutes they told us that if we wanted until 5pm, we could choose from the main ( limited) menu. So we stayed. The waitress service was good and the food quality, for what it was, was good.
We really liked this. Not often we’re dazzled by a drinks menu but the beer list is amazing. We were grateful for the patient answers to some pretty under informed questions. Food was very good with only one dish being slightly disappointing. Service was friendly and efficient. And a great atmosphere. Really can recommend
Lovely food and excellent selection of Belgium beers to choose from. Very pleasant and prompt service.
Can't wait for my next visit.
This place is a welcome change to the normal. The beer choice alone makes it a must see. The tapas style food is excellent and the service by the staff the same.
Lovely authentic style bar tucked away. Decor fab, food tasty and fun, choice of beer mind-blowing
Our first experience here and recommended to us by my family. Had a fabulous lunch. Two of us had a float of our choice of 3 beers and our friend had a large glass of delicious Rosé. The mussels were so sweet and plump. We will be booking a second visit for this week
Brilliant service! The mussels were gorgeous as well as the beer.
Great friendly service with an amazing selection of beer! The food was lovely just one small plate wasn’t warm but don’t let that stop you it was a great night and probably our favourite over the week in St Ives 👍🏻
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff food was fab and beers were amazing lots of choice
Really enjoyed the Tapas offerings.
Reasonably priced & very tasty.
Service just right - manageress particularly engaging.
Thanks for nice evening.
Delicious and quirky menu of beer and food, Belgian style.
The food was greasy and not enough care had been taken in preparation. Lack seasoning and some of it was left too long in the fryer.. The beers were good and the staff were very nice abd accommodating, however the good was what we were there for hence the poor rating
Really enjoyed our meal. There were plenty of options, plenty of Belgian bear if that’s your thing. Staff were really courteous and prompt with their service. I would definitely go back and definitely recommend to others.
Great place and service a little on the expensive side for food and drink but what you get is of good standard and quality
Great beer choices, loved the mussels and frites. Sadly didn't have room for waffles after! Great location, friendly and attentive staff. Decor was great. Felt cosy but not cramped. Spotlessly clean for all those covid worriers!
Long wait for food was the only downside. And no room for pudding so we will have to go back!
9pm sitting and lots of items on the menu were not available.( problems with deliveries and selling out) Huge selection of beers. Great atmosphere.
Really enjoyed the moules and frites and loved the huge selection of beers. Service was fabulous and will definitely visit again.
I booked a 1st slot of 6pm hoping to have the schnitzel on the menu only to find not available as their deliveries had not come that day. The meatballs was ok but the menu is limited. Also the waffle was pleasant but would have been better if honey or syrup could have been available.
Nice atmosphere and a wide variety of beers. Will try again next year.
