Fantastic service! From the time we were seated to the time we left, nothing but excellence! Crispy rice lettuce wraps are a must. Shrimp pad Thai was tasty and a huge portion! Sauv blanc was a perfect pairing for the meal. Overall wonderful experience and can’t wait to return!
The food was exceptional. We had a wonderful experience, and would gladly recommend Bida Manda to all our friends.
Tasty food, friendly service, pricey by lunch standards. Generally pleasant experience.
Loved the experience and food! Great overall experience.
This restaurant is always a great choice and does not disappoint!
Our reservation was honored immediately and our party of four was seated at our requested table. Initial approach by server was very good and orders were taken appropriately. The summer rolls lacked flavor, but entrees of saffron crepe, cashew ginger chicken, ginger pork ribs and pad thai were all excellent. The trio plate for dessert was more than enough for the 4 of us to share. The restaurant is extremely loud...very distracting. Not sure about a return.
Beautiful restaurant with unique tastes in the menu. Everything I had was delicious, I did wish there were more noodles ion the pad thai though :(. The tom ka soup for an appetizer was AMAZING and bursted with flavor in every bite! WIll definitely be going back!
Bida Manda is a unique dining experience.......featuring a Thai experience like never before. The menu is very different with lots of veggie options too. The service is excellent. Our server was engaging and great at recommendations. It is a vibrant restaurant. Reservations are a must!!!!!!!!!
Second visit, can’t wait for the third. All around great meal. Loved the fish. See you soon.
Incredible food! Cozy, great for a date!
A touch pricey but worth it!
Delicious food and great service.
First time eating here and it didn't disappoint! Tried new foods and really enjoyed them ! Also, tried their take on Pho, and it was impressively good! Lastly, the service was probably one of the best we have had! Our server was very knowledgeable about the dishes and was very pleasant to speak with. Highly recommend!
If I could give this restaurant 6 stars in every category, I would. It is a bit crazy but we actually visited Raleigh (we live in Northern Virginia) for the first time just to try this restaurant out. Never had Laotian food before, but drawing from my experiences with Thai and Vietnamese food, I had a good idea of what I was getting into.
We were seated at the bar and were greeted by probably the nicest bartender duo I have ever met. I apologized for not recalling his name, but his knowledge of the menu really surprised me and gave us awesome recommendation. The ginger pork ribs I got was perfectly seasoned, and not overly cooked to the point where the meat would just fall out on its own. My wife got the papaya salad and duck breast (medium rare). I didn't even know you could eat duck at medium rare, but that is probably the best way to eat it, now I know.
Angela, who was serving us as well, was equally awesome. Their positive attitude and friendliness seriously made the dining experience even better. I am so glad I drove all the way to Raleigh for this. Folks living in the area are so fortunate!
Great food and service.
The crepe is excellent. We also really enjoyed the sausage appetizer. The green papaya salad was so so, though the duck was great. I have yet to find a great green papaya salad and we probably hurt it by asking for it to be mild. Still I strongly recommend the restaurant.
I got the Pad Thai and my husband got the pork belly soup. Pad Thai was best I've ever had. Pork belly soup had amazing flavors - so good and pork belly was nice and crispy. Great food, great seervice.
We are beyond lucky to have such an amazing restaurant at our finger tips. I would travel long and far to dine at such a place. The food is like no other...truly. If you get to eat there, consider yourself lucky. Their sister restaurant next door shouldn’t be missed either (Brewery Bhvana). Book fast though...seats aren’t easy to come by. Cheers!
I drove 5 hours from Asheville just to eat at Bida Manda after hearing the This is Love podcast. It was everything I hoped for and more. The food was amazing and and service was top notch. The ambiance was dreamy and I will definitely be coming back - loved to support such an amazing restaurant and owner.
i waited 2 mos for the reservation and have been here more than once before. i love it. but this time the service made me feel attended to but very rushed. dinner came instantaneously and i didn't have a lengthy dining experience. i felt the front was watching my table to get me out of there and turn it over.
Love this place and it isn’t just because the food is orgasmic. The service is always top notch. It feels like everything I expect from a local favorite bar and restaurant.
Food was amazing and so was the service. It’s a bit noisy so if looking for a quiet night out, try again.
This place is wonderful. Great service and great food. The portion are generous and they are very accommodating if you want to split or share a dish. The sea bass was easily the best I've ever had. Melt in your mouth delicious!
Good food, . we ordered green salad which was smothered with overabundance of dressing. Ate it all but it was overbearing. Fish in banana leaf with vegetables, pork belly soup and rice chips were good.
Good rice desert not light if you're looking for a light desert.
The food at Bida Manda is always top notch. It did seem like the portions were smaller than previous visits since our last visit some months ago. Also, I believe the prices have gone up. That being said it is an excellent choice for a good meal.
Excellent service; delicious food. Only complaint was the ribs tasted old..... worth the weeks you wait to get a reservation...
Always a great place to eat.
pad thai was too tomatoey and not enough flavor but rest was good
Second time here and better than the last. The shrimp crackers/chips that I've heard people rave about tasted pretty normal, like any fish ones. I wasn't able to get the sea bass entree since they had run out, but the papaya salad with the sea bass was just as good. The fish is always spectacular and on point. I had ordered the papaya salad to be medium spicy thinking it would be average, but it was a little too hot for my taste buds so I would stay mild unless you can handle a 7/10 spicy level. I don't exactly remember the dessert's name, but it consisted of purple sticky rice, mango, coconut, and caramel. Overall the dish was good since 4 people shared it. I brought my dad and sister-in-law for the first time with my husband and they loved it.
Bida Manda is and has been my favorite restaurant in Raleigh. The food is delicious, service is excellent and the atmosphere is delightful. I highly recommend to anyone and EVERYONE!
Exceeded expectations! The food was delicious, unique and filling portions. Full of flavour. Friendly and courteous service. Beautiful interior. We’ll be back and highly recommend.
Good food and drinks, slightly overpriced for what you get but so are a lot of things. I liked the atmosphere and decor of the place.
Outstanding food and service. Noise was an issue for our party who wanted to visit during the meal. Hostess very pleasantly reseated our party to an area she thought might be "less loud." It was a bit better. This restaurant is soon good and I want to keep returning, but excessive noise is a real problem.
The food was good. My son really liked the pho. The flavors in the larb were so strong and intense, it was hard to finish the dish, but it mellowed out to make good leftovers. I got a to-go order for my husband, who couldn't make it, and it was much smaller than the usual order.
Other than that, everything was good and the service was excellent.
The server was great! The food was good. The only 2 downsides were, having to book a late evening reservation a month in advance and it was quite noisy.
Fantastic night at Bida Manda! I have lived in Raleigh for three years and can't believe that this was my first visit. I will certainly be back as soon as possible. Staff was excellent and food was delicious.
My GF and I had the lettuce wraps for an appetizer and the pork belly soup and the basil stir fry for our entrees. It was delicious and just the right amount to satisfy our bellies for lunch! The staff were friendly and the service was good. I recommend Bida Manda and will definitely be back!
Took my significant other out for a date here to celebrate his graduate school admissions. We had later evening reservations, and our service was excellent. I also have a wheat allergy and found there were so many great-sounding options- the menu labels what is gluten free too! Overall would highly recommend for special occasions and stellar gluten-free options!
As always, excellent dinner at Bida Manda. One of my "go to" restaurants since shortly after they opened. The food was excellent, service impeccable, I always feel warm and welcomed. We had small plates exclusively for a change of pace this time. The lamb sausage appetizer as very flavorful, lettuce wraps had a lovely crunch and blend of flavors and textures. The Tom ka gai (coconut chicken soup) is my favorite in Raleigh. This soup is a personal favorite and there are other Raleigh restaurants who do this well but Bida Manda is the gold standard. We also had the chicken wing with the sweet chili sauce, another hit.
