Bida Manda Restaurant and Bar
Our parents' recipes are the inspiration for our menu. Every dish on our menu is exactly what we grew up eating. They are the kind of dishes you might find on the street corners of Luang Prabang and at a Laotian home.

We had an amazing late dinner with some amazing drinks. The staff was super friendly. I had the Green Papaya Salad with fried trout. I had the spiciest heat level, and it was fantastic but be ready for some intense heat. My sister had the Chicken Curry and it was one of the best I have ever tasted. Bida Manda is a must visit if you are looking for a fantastic meal in the Raleigh area.
We had such a fantastic experience. The spring rolls to start off were unbelievable. From there I got the stir fry which was fantastic. The mood was perfect and we had a great time. Our server was so enjoyable to work with!
Our waiter,Brill was awesome. We used him to help us navigated the menu.
The stuffed Anaheim peppers with house made sausage was very tasty and medium heat so perfect they came with a tomato mixture so so good.
The pork belly soup was a great curry soup with noodles and all kinds if goodies. It was my favorite.
The papaya salad with duck was excellent, very different and fun. It was a bit spicy for me but my husband really liked it.
Our drinks were fun and very good. I give this place a Excellent score and a must to try.
My partner and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We denoted this on our reservation, and the host also asked if we were celebrating anything special. This was a lovely touch because, as a result, we received a complimentary appetizer as well as bubbles with our dessert! The sea bass mok, pork belly soup, and green papaya salad with grilled pork neck were all outstanding! I will be dreaming about the soup and sea bass for weeks.
The food was just fantastic. The waitress was very kind and nice. The restaurant atmosphere was enjoyable.
Food quality was amazing! Price was as anticipated, serving size was moderate.
Bida Manda continues to be a favorite. Needed a special place to take an out of town friend for a special birthday lunch -Bida was spot on and our friend really enjoyed the atmosphere & food. Typically a dinner place for us, but our visit made me realize it needs to be a regular lunch stop too! The energy was good and the noise level was very tolerable. Special bonus was Ashley Christiansen, Raleigh’s world renowned chef at the neighboring table.
Delicious appetizers (spring rolls) and everyone enjoyed and shared their entrees. No room for dessert and now, I’m going to enjoy my leftovers for lunch!
Bida Manda is our new favorite spot in Raleigh. The food is beyond amazing, the cocktails are lovely and the service is top notch!
Very pretty restaurant. Drinks were nice. The food was fine but definitely not worth the price. Server seemed to be anxious for me to put in my entree order, came back 3 times before the appetizers even came out. Won't be going back.
We were traveling to the area and heard about this place from a local resident. It exceeded our expectations, we really enjoyed our dining experience. Thank you!
This place has absolutely gorgeous decor, and it creates a wonderful ambiance. The food was good, but did not live up to the hype. I think we might have just ordered the wrong thing, because everyone else’s food around us looked incredible. Our server was good, not an outstanding experience, but he got the job done. Overall a good experience!!
Always consistently fabulous in all areas. Our go to for a nice night out to celebrate anything!
My husband and I just moved to Raleigh and were told we had to try Bida Manda- and I now would highly recommend it! The waitress forgot our second order of drinks but otherwise provided some amazing recommendations and was very attentive. We got the lettuce wraps as an appetizer, and split the pork belly soup and the green papaya salad- we were stuffed and took leftovers home. The pork belly soup was phenomenal and I would most definitely get it again!
Wonderful as always. Jordan is the best. Thank you.
Bida Manda was fun. Good food, good service, good time. I will go again for sure. Had the wings with three Laotian sauces that were delicious. The wings were crispy and hot. Very good. Had the crispy rice lettuce wraps. Excellent. Didn't miss the meat. Lol. Main courses- the Pad Thai and the Yellow Curry with Chicken. Both very nice. Lots of food. Will split a plate next time. Can't wait to go back.
Amazing service. Delicious food and cocktails. Can’t wait to go again.
Bida Manda never disappoints! The crispy pork belly soup is to die for!! Everything is wonderful.
Excellent meal, ambiance And dining experience!
Food was excellent, wait staff very knowledgeable and gave good advice about selections.
This restaurant is so noisy, and some patrons nearby were overly boisterous. But we enjoyed out meal, and parking across the street was free- a plus!
Amazing flavors, decor and service.
Another amazing meal!
ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING , experience was overall amazing.
I honestly can't say enough good things about the staff, service, food, and overall experience. We just moved from DC, after 6 years of going to all of the Michelin awarded restaurants all over the city (and world!), and this experience was top 3 in my entire life.
We went to celebrate my Husband's 30th Birthday, and he's always loved to try new foods, so we asked our amazing waiter (S/O Cliff - you da real MVP!) to just pick and choose for us, and surprise us with every single decision. It was perfect!! He chose our cocktails and our entire meal for us (after asking about dietary restrictions, favorite types of food, things to avoid, etc). I am not exaggerating when I say every single bite was INCREDIBLE and completely perfect for us.
Aside from the incredible food, everyone at the restaurant made us feel as home - so comfortable and so welcoming! They even wrote down a list of other recommended restaurants, bars, and activities when they learned that we were new to the area. They honestly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable not only in their restaurant, but in the city of Raleigh! Trust me when I say we will be back, very soon, and will continue to come back on a monthly (if not weekly) basis!
*Tip: GET THE PORK BELLY SOUP. YOU WILL THANK ME LATER.
Simply the best Asian restaurant in the Triangle
Too loud. Although the food was very good, we registered the noise at 82dB on Soundprint. Way too loud! Not enjoyable!
Bida Manda is hands down the best restaurant in Raleigh. The service and the food are impeccable!
Came here to celebrate a birthday. Had been a while since we had eaten at Bida Manda, but it is stil soooooo good. I had to go with the green papaya salad with pork and my wife got the whole red snapper. Both were superb.
This place really worths the drive. The service and foods are awesome. Look forward to do again.
Great service. Food was just okay. A bit overpriced.
Great meal! Our server, Savannah, gave my wife and me excellent recommendations. Service was super. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We were excited to come as the place was highly rated. We came for lunch and the place looked great and had lots of people. We ordered the crispy spring rolls and chicken wings for appetizers. The spring rolls were excellent but the wings were way too dry. My wife ordered the pork belly soup and I had the curry chicken. Both dishes were lukewarm in temperature and i felt like it sat somewhere for 15 minutes before being served. So the taste wasn't as good as if it was prepared hot.
Delicious as always! Great vegetarian options.
Summer rolls were the best I ever ate. I ordered the papaya salad special for dinner. For me it was a poor choice. The papaya is tough, stringy and not much flavor and the steak that came with it ordinary. Given how good the summer rolls were I think I would have similarly found some other selection more pleasing. The fish that got ordered next door looked inviting.
The chairs in this restaurant are the most uncomfortable I ever experienced. I don't recall the chairs in school being this unpleasant to sit in.
Excellent service and outstanding food. Beautiful decor. I recommend for every day dining and special occasions.
Always great food and service when we eat here. Love it!
Favorite spot in Raleigh. The food is incredible, service is consistent, and the atmosphere is nice, but a little loud.
Fantastic. The food had amazing flavor and texture. Incredible and I can’t wait to go back
Food was delicious. Waitstaff polite.
What bothered me was that the bamboo on the walls looked dusty. I felt uncomfortable knowing that the walls were dusty. The appetizers were good and the main dishes were generous.
Enjoyed lunch there this week, very good flavors and people.
