Bice - Palm Beach Ratings and Reviews
I can say enough about Antonio and his team of fantastic servers, bartenders and support staff, what a wonderful night! The food is spot on and always delicious; we were passing our dishes around in amazement! Great after dinner drinks at the bar is always recommended to finish off a proper night at Bice - Palm Beach!
Great service, beautiful room, good food. 6:30 reservation. Was told they had a 7:30 reservation for our table. That wasn’t happening. Also thought it was offensive to be charged $1.00 for 2 stuffed olives for my martini! Below the establishment.
Bice Palm Beach is our favorite dinning spot in Palm Beach. We live in Jupiter, about 1/2 hour to Palm Beach. We make the trip about five times a year and our destination is always Bice !!!! Realizing that we are not "a regular" , they make yo feel special. Be it the Captain seating you, to the amazing wait staff, to those who just make you feel relaxed. Also, the food is off the charts !!!! In an industry that is sooooo competitive (yes, even in Palm Beach)... I hope Bice never changes. We love dinning here and always will.
Situated in a prime location in Palm Beach, the restaurant consists of 4 different dining areas; a bar lounge area, two indoor dining rooms and an alfresco eating area in the courtyard/via behind the restaurant. The interior is stark white, trendy, but lacks warmth.
We were greeted immediately and our table was ready. Our server appeared immediately and took our beverage orders and presented us with a menu and shortly thereafter one of the busboys appeared with a basket of fresh bread. The menu was extensive and the choices very varied.
Our appetizers were very good; we chose a baked artichoke and tuna tartar. Both dishes, were tasty and well prepared. My wife had a veal piccata for her main course which she liked and I ordered a pasta bolognese which seemed as if the past had been previously partially cooked and the sauce seemed to be "sticky" and not smooth and there was not much meat to be found.
My mediocre rating of Bice reminded me why we rarely dine here. The service is too rushed and seems performed according to rote and is not sincere.
We must be missing something as it has been here for so many years, but in our opinion there are much better options in the area for Italian food.
going to bice in the summer was always a winner...not so crowded...half price for food and drinks 4 to 7pm...problem was the other night...although the service was good and the ambiance is lovely...the food was lousy...a very bland and pedestrian caeser salad...what? - not even one little anchovy...and very little taste...and a lukewarm and chewy bolognese...the pasta's not supposed to be sticky...and again...little taste...and their bolognese has always been one of my favorites...very disappointing
If you are looking for a quintessential Palm Beach place to see and be seen, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for great food, great service and to be made to feel special, it is not. Made a reservation with what I thought would be plenty of time to take advantage of their extensive 1/2 price menu (Available until 7pm during the summer), but the waiter took so long to come over and return with drinks that we just barely got our order in. Waiter had no finesse and seemed somewhat unfamiliar with the menu. Caprese was super bland (both mozzarella and tomato) and we didn't even finish it. My husband seemed to like his tortellini di pera but didn't love it...I felt the same about the risotto. Wasn't bad, just not delicious either. Had put that we were celebrating my birthday on our OpenTable reservation, but thinking maybe they hadn't seen it, I left to use the restroom with instructions for my husband to order the Apple tart with a candle...I returned from restroom and no one had been by the table. Needless to say I had my birthday dessert with no celebration, very sad! (Meanwhile they sang to another table...maybe we didn't look Palm Beachy enough?) On top of that, the apple tart was again ok but not delicious. Overall it was an extremely disappointing evening from a restaurant that is billed as so wonderful.
Not great for the price
Even though there were a couple of empty tables in the main area we were seated in the other room which only had two tables occupied, with the promise to be moved
This never happened Was kind of depressing to be seated in an empry room
The restaurant overall was nothing special.
We went with another couple taking advantage of the 1/2 price menu. The waitstaff was cold and impatient with us. They tried to hurry us along and were anxious for us to order quickly. They showed their annoyance when we wanted to enjoy our drinks and talk a bit. We had an hour before the end of the deal so no need to push us. Once we ordered the appetizers came out quickly, but were shoved at us. Once we finished them, the plates were quickly whisked away the the main meal dropped down before us. No delay at all. Just a complete rush. Although the food was good, and the presentation nice we felt unwelcome. We noticed regulars being treated much differently. The portions were small and there was not starch on the plate. I found the portion good for me, but my husband was still hungry after eating his fish dish. The price was fair for what we had, but would have outrageously expensive for what we got at the regular price. Needless to say we will not be returning anytime soon. There are lots of other fine dining restaurants that appreciate our business.
We visit Palm Beach every summer, when the crowds are gone and the parking is easy. BICE is always a favorite, especially for the Happy Hour Specials. The staff are wonderful, the ambiance is comfortable, and the food is, for the most part, delicious. (Avoid the boring Caesar Salad, but don't miss the Greek Salad, the skirt steak, the chicken dish, or the fish. They are all cooked to my taste, perfectly!)
Delicious northern Italian food, impeccably prepared, presented with professional service in a light, lovely room. The Palm Beach outpost of the high-end mini-chain founded in Milan does not disappoint. Go for a special occasion or a relaxing time with friends. This being Palm Beach, the crowd tends to be older, the ladies well preserved, and the gentlemen in light slacks and tropical shirts. Though their street address is on famous Worth Avenue, the complimentary valet is located at the "back" door (well marked, easily visible) on Peruvian Avenue.
Extremely noisy. Couldn't enjoy my company. Food above average pricey. Many Italian restaurants give better value at lower prices. Most annoying was the noise level. We couldn't leave quickly enough as a result. Would not go back again primarily because of the noise and high prices
While service was good, as it always has been, the food was just average and it seems to me Bice has the same menu they have had for the last few years. It is just not worth it, when there are so many other better places to eat. I used to love coming here - but will not be back anytime soon.
