The View was magnificent. The attentaviness of the staff was excellent best I've ever had! The amount of food it was more than sufficient. The music and ambiance left nothing to be desired. We would definitely visit again. I think this restaurant could be special for any occasion.
Very nice evening. Delicious food, nice wine list, very good service, beautiful Setting. Would definitely return if er ever go Back to Orlando - especially universal. Would definitely recommend to friends!
Pretty place, elegant Orlando.
Head waiter did the right thing when our son’s steak was “off”.
Nice pastas, great burrata and steaks. Good octopus. Fish choices were lackluster, scallops were delicious but VERY SALTY.
I love this restaurant. It has been around for years but remains perfecto!
We highly recommend Bice' as great date night spot. Make sure to make reservations as it is popular and can get crowded. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and wine selections. We took his recommendations and had a wonderful meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and the wine pairing recommended was terrific. We will be back every chance we get.
Went for dinner while staying at the neighboring Hard Rock Hotel. Lovely atmosphere and good pasta!
Everyone loved the food. High price but worth it.
Very nice dinner
Staying at the Portofino Bay Hotel for a vacation/birthday celebration we chose Bice based on reviews. We expected wonderful and got much less than that. After greeting us and providing water, our waiter pretty much ignored us. The restaurant was NOT THAT BUSY on a Thursday nite (March 1st). While walking by our table several min later he kind of shouted "do you want some drinks?" Uh, that would be nice. After waiting about 10 to 15 min our drinks arrived. Verdict, a good Negroni and a substandard Perfect Manhatten. If you don't know how to make one, look it up. After sipping our drinks for about 20 min we were getting upset. Our waiter seemed to be spending his time on the terrace mostly. To be fair, other tables seemed to be getting MUCH better attention. We were ready to just leave when the manager stopped by to see if we needed anything. Well yes, we'd like to order. Things got a little better but not from our waiter. The food? Caesar salads were bland but fresh. My wife's salmon was dry and bland and my Ossobuco was a major $48 disapointment. Quality of the meat was fine and the portion generous but the sauce was bland and the risotto was undercooked. Our waiter was finally seen when he delivered our wine about 5 min after our entrees arrived. Talked to the manager, Mr. Ciccocelli, while leaving. He was apologetic and said we should return and he we see to it that we had a much better experience. Yeah, NO. No adjustments to the bill were offered. Bad form Emidio. FYI, when we related our experience to hotel staff they didn't seem surprised and were careful to mention that Bice was a 3rd party enterprise. Hmmm... that said a lot to us. Anyway, proceed at your on risk and bring lots of cash.
The restaurant for dinner is a nice way to end the day from visiting the Universal Orlando theme parks. I highly recommend eating here - particularly if you're staying at the Portofino Bay Resort. The restaurant is not cheap but you do get top quality meals and excellent service. The staff is friendly and welcoming. While it has the look and style of a five star restaurant, the warmth and courtesy of the staff makes it comfortable. Food is delicious. If you come when the weather is nice, try and get a table outdoor. The view of the lagoon is nice.
Our server Jose was excellent, very attentive and informative about our cuisine choices. An upscale restaurant with an incredible view of Portofino Bay at Universal Studios, with classical opera sung from a nearby balcony, overlooking the square. Dining outside, listening to the music while enjoining a fine, authentic Italian meal, it was a terrific evening.
Excellent food and service. Mo did a tremendous job serving our table. We sat outside and loved it, although it was a tad breezy. Absolutely love the ambiance, the good food and service. It seemed a tad noisy inside - we've eaten inside before.
We love BICE! We don’t have the opportunity to visit often because our son is only 2 and we feel it’s more of a romantic date location than a family affair...
We were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit for our 9 year wedding anniversary and it was a beautiful night. We were seated on the patio overlooking the harbor and it was lovely.
The food was delicious as always and we enjoyed every second of our visit. My husband enjoyed his Wagyu Ribeye and I loved my Osso Bucco.
However, one small caveat and I hate to mention this because I know we are all human beings and can have bad days. Our server Victor (I believe that was his name) wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. He was fairly short in service and upon completion of our meal he took our check and returned to let us know that he had charged us for a different table’s bill as well as our own. He was mildly (very mildly) apologetic about the scenario. Fortunately we had the funds on our credit card to cover both charges and we were assured that the incorrect charge would be waived but it did affect our account balance and was frustrating to have to deal with this on our anniversary.
Overall, this hasn’t soured our BICE experience but we would hope to have an overall more relaxing and pleasant experience next time.
The food, service and setting were excellent. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating with a view of the Portofino Bay.
IT WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, THEY FORGOT ONE OF OUR ORDER, FOOD TOOK AN HOUR, THEY NEVER OFFERED PARMESAN CHEESE. WE ORDER 4 DIFFERENT PLATES AND NONE OF THEM WAS CLOSE TO GOOD, ACTUALLY MOST OF THEM WERE REALLY BAD, AND IT WAS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. So, TO BE HONEST WE DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS PLACE IS EVEN RATED AS A GOOD RESTAURANT, UNLESS SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT DAY!!!......
We regretted we spent so much money in such a low quality food!!!!!
Very nice place to eat with your romantic partner for the most part. Service is always exceptional. It's a little noisy but the atmosphere is always nice. Should sit families with children especially young one away from the people that want to hear themselves speak and have a nice dinner.
Consistently great restaurant, fantastic specials and staples on the man you always top notch
Waiter was terrific. Food outstanding. Fine dining relaxed atmosphere. Great suggestions of food by waiter. Going back and will suggest to all visiting Universal.
Our dinner was absolutely phenomenal! Our server was fabulous and very attentive. We celebrated Valentines Day at Bice and it was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be returning again!
Location was beautiful. Quiet and romantic. Menu was nicely varied and the desserts were delicious. Would visit again and would recommend definitely.
I was there with my wife on Valentine’s Day. We had gotten married at the hotel in 2012 and this is the restaurant we ate at while we stayed there after the wedding, so we wanted to spend this holiday there and reminisce about that big day. Everything was perfect. Our server was as Robert and he did amazing, he was the perfect level of attentiveness. There when you needed him and not when we wanted our alone time. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave amazing recommendations. He even, without me saying a thing, gave us a little discount as a thank you for coming back to them after getting married there many years ago. This was a pleasant surprise. I have nothing but good feeling about my experience that night, enough so that we will be coming back more frequently. Good job!
I went to Bice for Valentine's Day this year and couldn't have been more impressed! This is one of the BEST places to dine while staying at a Universal Orlando hotel. The atmosphere is just as fabulous as the food!
Way overpriced for just average Italian food. Pasta is made in house, so that’s a nice touch, but nothing was extraordinary.
Fantastic service. Our waiter was Brandon and he was phenomenal. Couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate my S/O's Bday!
The food was outstanding. The service outstanding and the ambience was very perfect for any occasion. Not a place to go all the time, just perfect though for any reason.
Food was average which wasn’t a great value for the price. Service and atmosphere were great however.
food is pretty blah for the image it's trying to convey.
I was staying at the hotel for a work trip and wanted to get a nice meal on my own. Made a reservation and was seated outside overlooking the 'square'. Everything this hotel does to try and make it fit the theme of an Italian villages just makes it tacky and cheap. The nightly opera singing from the balcony was meant to be atmospheric but ended up being way too loud, not good quality and annoying. The staff was nice. The wines by the glass were a limited.
I ordered a spinach salad and between the goat cheese and the pancetta is was a salt bomb. The pasta dish I had was also barely edible. The cheese tasted as if it had curled or gone sour.
this was supposed to be the 'high end' restaurant in the hotel but I was pretty disappointed in the food. The sausage and pepper sandwich I got to go for lunch at the take away spot was way better than what they served here. Maybe the steaks were better but Orlando is FILLED with steak places much better so I don't really get what they were trying to do. Over priced in my opinion.
Bice is a lovely authentic Italian restaurant. The service and selections were very very good and all pasta is fresh, made in house. The Fritto Misto (mixed fried seafood) appetizer was excellent, and desserts were lovely. It was a crowded evening so the noise level was moderately high, but it was not a detractor. And it is a beautiful space. I recommend!
It was my first time at Bice and I absolutely loved it. Before we left, I had already wanted to come back and eat again. The food came out at a great time. We didn’t wait very long, and the service was impeccable. There wasn’t one staff member that wasn’t approachable. Everyone was very professional, helpful and nice. I would recommend this place for all special occasions.
Such a wonderful atmosphere and great service from Robert. Not only was he excellent from the service side but gave us such great info on the menu, new chef, etc. Food was outstanding. Enjoyed the background piano player as we dined. We will be back to enjoy more of the authentic northern Italian cuisine.
The service was perfect. The staff was honest with their opinions and it created a special meal and a tremendous dining experience. Everyone was so knowledgeable and passionate about the food and drinks that it made it like a visit at a friends house. All were so proud of their work it was refreshing. The food was so good. The pasta was very delicate and bold at the same time. It was not just good for a theme park it was great for a stand alone restaurant.
Mario is a wonderful waiter!
Did not like the fact that they Charged for Common Water
It was incredibly noisy. Could not hear piano player; could not hear ourselves talk. Will never go back. The noise level was NOT energetic; it was deafening.
Lobster bisque was devoid of lobster. Maybe it had lobster broth. Waiter was efficient but unfriendly.
Enjoyed an outstanding experience from beginning to end. Server was knowledgeable and did not rush us through courses. Suggested the Osso Buco as one of his favorites and it was fantastic. He guided us through the menu and made several suggestions. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Great execution of Italian food. Pasta was all made fresh and you noticed the difference. Lots of Italian restaurants in Orlando but this is truly an authentic experience that focuses on quality ingredients and exceptional warm and friendly service.
