A fantastic restaurant. great for anniversary or special celebrations, or if you just want some really really nice food. FYI, You have to bring your own wine.
Bibou was excellent , an outstanding value , great staff . Would go back in a heartbeat .
Outstanding menu changes on a weekly basis. Always over the top for our many return visits. Food is creative, service does not miss a beat. Small seating area makes it unique and conversation easy while enjoying the meal.
Consistently the best dining in Philadelphia without much competition all the way to New York
The tasting menu put together by chef Pierre was divine, and we would repeat in a heart beat!
Absolutely fabulous as always!! Food was perfect. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend!
Always a wonderful experience! There are not enough words to express how wonderful everything looked and tasted.
Unbelievable price fix plus BYOB! Beyond expectations.
Good food very good service!
Great experience we didn’t like one item so waiter went to chef and he prepared something else for us. We didn’t complain they just did it.
Most of staff is from lebecfin just a great resturant not sure I spelled it right..
The chef comes out and stops at your table the staff is so personable.
I will be back..
This is an extraordinary place. The best sequence of original, surprising, delicious courses I have ever experienced. I only wish I lived in Philadelphia so that I could check the menu each week.
Wonderful fine dining experience.
Incroyable comme tousjours!! Chef Pierre continues to create impeccable cuisine that is on par with the great French restaurants-anywhere in the world. His amazing food and the delightful service from Jeffrey and team, provides a perfect reason to break out special bottles of wine to pair and share with good friends, making for a perfect evening! We can’t wait for our next visit!
Exceeded expectations. Thank you!
Perfection!!! One the the most special moments in dining.
Chef Pierre Calmels is a great Culinary. He is able every week to present a new selection of dishes. One of the top 5 Chefs in Philadelphia
This was our second visit to Bibou. We were celebrating 29 years of our first meeting and wanted something special. Bibou is certainly special. Every morsel was absolutely delightful. The menu is fixed, but is changed weekly (we didn’t know that!). It is definitely pricey - BYOB helps with that - but we are already planning our wedding anniversary celebration to be at Bibou. The space is small, quaint and beautiful. The size makes it exclusive feeling-a special treat to have a reservation. The chef came to our table at the end. He was delightfully French! Our meal lasted about 2.5 hours. Wonderful evening - memories made. Admittedly, we have become foodies with our relo to Philadelphia. This is a foodie’s dream.
As always, the meal exceeded our expectations. Always a top dining experience. Fantastic.
Spectacular food, service 10/10. A comfortable atmosphere for a luxurious experience. Expensive, but worth it, so probably suitable for a special occasion unless you can spend $300 for a regular meal (in that case, congratulations!). BYOB.
As always a wonderful experience dining at Bibou. There aren’t many restaurants left that pay such attention to the combination of flavors and the presentation of each course. And then the Chef coming out to your table to chat with you. Also fun to share the dining experience with other patrons who are as excited about their next course. Highly recommend for those who enjoy dining.
Bibou is a special place. New amazing menu each week. Flavors you never new existed. If there is something you might not like on the menu Chef will be happy to change. Service is always fabulous. Don’t want to tell too many people. It’s a small dining room and I want to get seats!
Fantastic French fare, perfect match to enjoy your best bottle in byob. Don’t miss it or you will regret it !
Food was mediocre
Magnefic! Felt like we went to France! Cozy! Romantic! Great FOOD!
LOVED IT! Mercie Chef Pier!
The food was excellent, perfectly portioned, not overly complicated, well thought out and spiced, left with the just right satisfied feeling. Definitely a Great place for a first date, special occasion, or a beautiful spring nor’easter night out in the city.
Great attention to detail; very attentive waitstaff.
Extraordinary from start to finish. Every course was perfection. Service was excellent, but relaxed and non-obtrusive. My only problem is that I cat eat there every day.
What can I say - it's always great. Subtle flavors on this night in 2 of the dishes were perhaps a tad below some recent visits, but that's probably being overly critical. Jeffrey and the staff are truly exceptional.
Spectacular innovative and creative multi course menu prepared by a master and his staff. On top of that, this is a BYOB restaurant, so you can bring those treasures from your cellar. This is a small restaurant so you need a reservation well in advance, and it would be good to arrive around 7:30pm to enjoy a comfortable pace of the many courses
A little too pricey for the mea, but overall a great meal
A little gem in a big way! Everything we ate was cooked to perfection. For those liking adventure, five of the seven courses were dishes we wouldn’t attempt ourselves. The team made us feel like we were special guests in their home . Chef Pierre and his team make French dining very accessible. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Everything was superb but we were taken aback when our server opened a container of truffle and offered some to us for an additional $25/person. We declined but it was unexpected and somewhat awkward.
Spectacular food and service - easily the best dining experience in Philadelphia.
Great place and great food. Amazing for dates and enjoying French cuisine.
Amazing cuisine, but the service did not come near to matching the quality of the restaurant. Particular attention was paid by the wait staff to select tables, and the remainder of the restaurant was largely neglected. Small things such as refilling water glasses were not done throughout the night. Chef Calmels came out to personally and sincerely thank each diner for spending the night with him at his restaurant, however the same gratitude was unfortunately otherwise noticeably absent.
What a wonderful experience at Bibou. The food was great, the service extremely attentive and the chef even came out after the meal to say hello. Truly a 5/5 experience !
Amazing culinary experience and very personalized. Chef Pierre Calmels visited each table at the end of their meal to speak with every patron. Wonderful and exotic food rolls out with perfect pacing in the seven-plus servings (extra unique offerings are often added to the dinner). BYOB is a plus. This is an exceptional dining experience and the pricing reflects that.
One of the best meals we have ever had and certainly one of the best restaurants in Philly. The foie gras was probably the best foie gras we have ever had. The magret de canard and soup de salsifis were also amazing. The tarentaise aligot was one of the most unique dishes we have ever ate. Dessert was also top notch with hot chocolate souffle. The only down side was we paid an extra $25 per plate for truffles on the magret de canard and soup de salsifis ($100) which honestly we do not think added $100 worth of flavor. We would definitely recommend even with the steep price because it will be one of the best meals you will ever eat, just skip the truffles.
