I've been back to Bibi'z about five times now, always for lunch. The food and service is very good and it is very quiet at lunch hour. One issue I have is with their coffee and it's delicious extras. I am not interested in the whipped cream and the chocolate, although it is probably most delicious and yet, the only way to get coffee is with these extras. One has to pay for this display regardless of whether they want it or not and if you are more than one person getting coffee, the size of the extras is the same and the charge for each cup of coffee is $4.50. Not interested in overpaying each time I dine there.
Overall everything was very good and the food was delicious. Understandable that prices are higher on a Holiday, they could have made the portions a bit bigger for the price.
This is the second time we have been to Bibi'z . I think the food is very good , but this time around there were some problems. Two people in our party had the Bronzino. They were disappointed because of the amount of bones they had to deal with. One or two , OK , but a pile of bones was not acceptable. The other problem this time was the service or lack there of. Our drinks took forever to get , and when they did the server had no idea of who had what. The same happened when our entrees came. We really like the food , but are wary of coming back because of inadequate service .
it was a very quiet night at Bibiz but the food is always worth going back for!
Loved it.Always good. lovetheheLthy choices. Highly recommend
We met friends, who had arrived much earlier than us, and were at the bar. It took numerous requests to have their drinks brought to the table. It took numerous requests to order drinks for us. They took our silverware after our nibble, and we again had to make numerous requests for new utensils. We waited an extremely long long time for our dinner. We arrived at 6:45, and the restaurant was not busy, so there is no excuse for poor service. This problem has been written up numerous times, by other reviewers. It is a very noisy restaurant, as it became more crowded. It is for this reason we like to eat early, however, we spent a much longer time there
Nice brunch! Good choices and food was well prepared and unique.
Thanks we had a great meal and time. It was my first visit and I’ll be back
Food was good, servers were very attentive. Nice outdoor seating.
The service was very bad from the minute I walked in to the door. I had a reservation and they sat down two couple before us that didn’t have reservations. I ordered a drink and my meal came before that.
The waitress was very nice and apologetic but the kitchen was extremely slow.
The food was well prepared and served in a timely manner. We had a new waiter giving us the specials and an experienced one filling in the blanks. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Tuesday night and allowed us to stay and talk.
Brunch was excellent price was great yoo
Had brunch on a Sunday with party of 6, with only one other couple dining in the entire restaurant and dishes took a really long time and then were served to incorrect table. Taken back after some time. Guess serving staff was new? Whomever was in charge seemed upset but not really apologetic to my friend who received her dish and was waiting for the rest of us to get our dishes and then they came and took hers, bringing hers out when the rest of ours were served. Weird and awkward.
Bibi'z is always a restaurant you can count on for a good dinner. The waiter was sweet and the drinks were all yummy.
had awesome time. food & presentation where nice. liked peach sangria.
Very good lunch, lots of gluten free options, would come back for dinner.
I love this restaurant! This particular day, the air conditioning was not really working and it was a bit uncomfortable. The food is always superb! My ravioli were a bit dry but everything else was great. Every other time I've been here, everything was excellent.
Our waiter and service in general were very personable and attentive. The food in overall was acceptable. The asparagus I had was so tough I could not eat it, and the flavor was very bland, The pita appetizers were delicious. We all agreed that we would have been better of ordering those as main courses, and adding soup and salad. My tilapia was tasty, but nothing to write home about, again, bland and not very interestingly seasoned. In general we all expected better for the price and the menu offerings. The middle east just did not come thru. The brownie desert was the best part of the meal. One other note. There was a party that was so loud that we literally could not hear one another across our table and had to yell. It was very annoying and not pleasant for your other patrons. There should have been doors closing them off from the rest of your restaurant. If I were you I would consider it for future events.
This was our 2nd visit to Bibi'z in the last month. We had visited several times before and would even consider it one of our go to places. Unfortunately, the service here has changed drastically for the worse. You can tell the staff is very inexperienced and the waitresses and waiters are not the same as those we have had for years. The place was also noticeably empty the last two times visiting, which were both on weekend nights. I'm not going to list all of the little things that were missed in our last two visits but hope instead Bibi'z realizes they have a serious staff problem (poor services is noted in other reviews) and fixes that quickly. We really like the food but won't return unless service is commensurate.
It was really nice. It was too hot to sit outside but the brunch was very good. Service was excellent.
Friendly server ... great food ... nice atmosphere ...
Food decent. Service too slow.
What a pleasant surprise awaited us at lunch at Bibi’s. Great soup, tuna, quiche and, of course, desserts. The service was both friendly and professional. Lots of small plates for sharing and pairing. Not inexpensive, but well worth every dollar!
Food was great but service was poor. Restaurant was practically empty but we had to wait long for our server.
This is a wonderful spot for a quick late night dinner. the problem is that it is small and when there are noisy people, one cannot hear one's partner across the table. while it is hard to tell loudmouths to keep the noise down, it would be good for business.
The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely. The food was pretty good. Service though was lacking. The waitress was very nice but it took forever to get her to take our order, beverages even took a long time. At the end of the meal we waited a very long time to even get our check.
We are regulars there. Bibiz never disappoints. Their food is always fantastic, quality is very consistent.
This was the worst experience for Mother's Day . They abruptly changed it to a 4 course meal without notifying customers and options were minimal. 5 tables were occupied and everyone was waiting for their main course for an hour with no wait staff on the floor. Btw, the server said it was the owner's fault as he changed the menu. On top, they charged 20% tip without informing us. According to the server, the kitchen is separate from the service so they still deserve the tip...pls stay away
WE HAD THE WORSE EXPERIENCE WENT THERE FOR MOTHERS DAY (BIG MISTAKE) THEY WERE UNDER STAFFED BY FAR. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE WAITING FOR THE FOOD WAS RIDICULOUS. ACTUALLY EVERY PERSON THAT WAS IN THE RESTAURANT AT THE TIME WE WERE WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT WAITING 2 HOURS FOR THEIR FOOD. HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE AND IT WAS FINE BUT DON'T THINK WE WILL BE GOING BACK AGAIN. NO ONE CAME TO EXPLAIN THE LACK OF SERVICE JUST LEFT YOU SITTING THERE.
We had a wonderful mother’s da brunch- food was very good and plentiful. Even though it was crowded the service was quite good. Temperatures in the restaurant were quite chilly though. We will go back
We really like BiBi'z and have come here often. The bar and seating area in front is wonderful, and its a great hang out spot for cocktails. For dinner, our server was excellent, but the place was very busy, and we waited a while for our dinner. My scallops were excellent, but the brussels sprouts were not cooked at all. Another plate had mostly uncooked chicken, which was sent back and replaced by something else. Overall, its a great place, just this night was very busy and we had an off night.
We love Bibi'z because our young kids appreciate the food and we get to go out to a nice place with a creative, healthy menu. We ensure we arrive early 5-530. The last 2 times we have come with a larger group 8-10 people, we feel that we get good server attention at the beginning of the meal but the minute the dining room gets a little bit busy, we have to constantly ask for the next thing - whether that is another drink, dessert or coffee. For example, we ordered coffee, but it took 45 minutes to arrive. Such a simple thing - we don't mind waiting for dessert but it's nice to have the coffee to enjoy. And then, ultimately we ended up rushing through coffee with dessert because we waited so long. Also the desserts came out sporadically and 3 out of 7 of them were wrong, 2 times. We loved our server, but didn't see her again after we put in our dessert order. This happened last year on Mother's day (for dinner). Both times we were the first ones in the dining room. We totally appreciate not being rushed, but we also would love the level of service throughout the meal.
Bibi'z is a neighborhood gem. Chef-owned and operated, and it is always a great meal, whether meeting a girlfriend for brunch or dinner, or meeting a date for drinks and apps. Five Stars, all the way, every time!
terrific wait staff
very good food
local farm veggies
grass fed beef
Love love love this place. Our third time there and it didn’t disappoint. Food is excellent. Incredible gluten free options. Really really love this restaurant. Look forward to going back again soon.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal in celebration for our son's 12th birthday with family. The food was good, the dessert was below average. The brownie Sunday was HUGE but the brownies were dry; very dry.
Nice wine and beer list. I paid $14 for an Oregon Pinot. The glass was half full - wine was good, but not a great value in my opinion.
We would go back - great options for gluten free with special care to other allergies, etc. When we entered the music was far too loud even for our teens who love loud music. We asked them to turn it down. They did. It became very crowded and noisy as we were leaving - but such is life on a Saturday Night in Bergen County!
Food was ok. Certainly not up to the standard you’d expect from their prices. Repeatedly told waitress that we were going to a movie after dinner but yet we had to wait 15 minutes for the check.
Excellent menu, delicious food and fantastic service!
Different but good. Loved the gnocchi bolognese Alfredo.
