The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely. The food was pretty good. Service though was lacking. The waitress was very nice but it took forever to get her to take our order, beverages even took a long time. At the end of the meal we waited a very long time to even get our check.
We are regulars there. Bibiz never disappoints. Their food is always fantastic, quality is very consistent.
This was the worst experience for Mother's Day . They abruptly changed it to a 4 course meal without notifying customers and options were minimal. 5 tables were occupied and everyone was waiting for their main course for an hour with no wait staff on the floor. Btw, the server said it was the owner's fault as he changed the menu. On top, they charged 20% tip without informing us. According to the server, the kitchen is separate from the service so they still deserve the tip...pls stay away
WE HAD THE WORSE EXPERIENCE WENT THERE FOR MOTHERS DAY (BIG MISTAKE) THEY WERE UNDER STAFFED BY FAR. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE WAITING FOR THE FOOD WAS RIDICULOUS. ACTUALLY EVERY PERSON THAT WAS IN THE RESTAURANT AT THE TIME WE WERE WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT WAITING 2 HOURS FOR THEIR FOOD. HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE AND IT WAS FINE BUT DON'T THINK WE WILL BE GOING BACK AGAIN. NO ONE CAME TO EXPLAIN THE LACK OF SERVICE JUST LEFT YOU SITTING THERE.
We had a wonderful mother’s da brunch- food was very good and plentiful. Even though it was crowded the service was quite good. Temperatures in the restaurant were quite chilly though. We will go back
We really like BiBi'z and have come here often. The bar and seating area in front is wonderful, and its a great hang out spot for cocktails. For dinner, our server was excellent, but the place was very busy, and we waited a while for our dinner. My scallops were excellent, but the brussels sprouts were not cooked at all. Another plate had mostly uncooked chicken, which was sent back and replaced by something else. Overall, its a great place, just this night was very busy and we had an off night.
We love Bibi'z because our young kids appreciate the food and we get to go out to a nice place with a creative, healthy menu. We ensure we arrive early 5-530. The last 2 times we have come with a larger group 8-10 people, we feel that we get good server attention at the beginning of the meal but the minute the dining room gets a little bit busy, we have to constantly ask for the next thing - whether that is another drink, dessert or coffee. For example, we ordered coffee, but it took 45 minutes to arrive. Such a simple thing - we don't mind waiting for dessert but it's nice to have the coffee to enjoy. And then, ultimately we ended up rushing through coffee with dessert because we waited so long. Also the desserts came out sporadically and 3 out of 7 of them were wrong, 2 times. We loved our server, but didn't see her again after we put in our dessert order. This happened last year on Mother's day (for dinner). Both times we were the first ones in the dining room. We totally appreciate not being rushed, but we also would love the level of service throughout the meal.
Bibi'z is a neighborhood gem. Chef-owned and operated, and it is always a great meal, whether meeting a girlfriend for brunch or dinner, or meeting a date for drinks and apps. Five Stars, all the way, every time!
terrific wait staff
very good food
local farm veggies
grass fed beef
Love love love this place. Our third time there and it didn’t disappoint. Food is excellent. Incredible gluten free options. Really really love this restaurant. Look forward to going back again soon.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal in celebration for our son's 12th birthday with family. The food was good, the dessert was below average. The brownie Sunday was HUGE but the brownies were dry; very dry.
Nice wine and beer list. I paid $14 for an Oregon Pinot. The glass was half full - wine was good, but not a great value in my opinion.
We would go back - great options for gluten free with special care to other allergies, etc. When we entered the music was far too loud even for our teens who love loud music. We asked them to turn it down. They did. It became very crowded and noisy as we were leaving - but such is life on a Saturday Night in Bergen County!
Food was ok. Certainly not up to the standard you’d expect from their prices. Repeatedly told waitress that we were going to a movie after dinner but yet we had to wait 15 minutes for the check.
Excellent menu, delicious food and fantastic service!
Different but good. Loved the gnocchi bolognese Alfredo.
Celebrated a friend's Birthday on Friday night. The Arugula salad was very good, just enough dressing to enjoy the freshness of Arugula and other ingredients. Mini lamb meat balls were good as usual. Me and my friend ordered Lamb chops, which were exceptionally great and the Lamb Shank was very well too. For desert we had ordered the flourless chocolate cake and it didn't disappointed us either. Sp, overall was a great dinner!
For Valentine’s Day it was the perfect spot. The noise level was not terrible and the food was terrific.
Food was great but service was awful. The music was so loud we couldn’t hold a conversation
Interesting menu with great selections for lunch .Their peach sangria is delicious. Getting a pitcher is perfect for 4 people to share. But price has gone up since last time there. Coffee served in a small insulated carafe, so there's also enough for a few cups -- but again pricey if only 2 people sharing. Nice touch being served with tray of sugar cubes, whipped cream and chocolate chips to add which sort of makes up for the price. Would go back just to try some of the other menu choices that sounded appealing. Must get the lamb sliders again too.
Service was not good as they were busy. Noise level was very loud. Tables too close together.
Excellent! I was hosting friends to my neighborhood and needless to say, they were very impressed by the location, ambience, food and service.
The seating was awkward. There were tables places down a pathway where the customers walked. I don't know who would ever take a table there or why the restaurant would seat people there. Even in the main dining room the tables were placed in odd angles - definitely not feng shui. Noise level was very loud on a Saturday night. Service was excellent. Food was good.
Awkward hallway entrance
No hostess to meet us
Awkward table arrangements
Very noisy party room open to other diners
My first visit. I was very impressed. The staff was friendly and professional
Outstanding food, service, ambiance. We’re visiting from CA, and will be sure to stop in next time we’re in NJ!
My friend's took me out to celebrate my Birthday. It was our first time at BiBiz. It was lunchtime and the restaurant was quiet, great for conversation. Our server MaKenzie was very pleasant.
We each ordered the Menage a trois, which was a nice size half sandwich the soup of the day, which was a delicious mushroom and a perfect size half salad. Each was prepared to perfection and delicious. One of my friends ordered coffee, which was served with cubes of sugar, whipped cream and chocolate chips--stunning! We chose to share one dessert, which our server gave us each a small plate to take a portion. It was a Jasmine custard, served with berries and whipped cream--delicious! Since it was my birthday, our server also brought out some chocolate squares with whipped cream and a candle. It was so nice. I would definitely come again and recommend this restaurant to friends.
We have been to Bibi'z many times. Each time we go, we remark on how much we enjoy the atmosphere, the food and the service. We especially enjoy and look forward to the home made potato chips! We have introduced many of our friends to Bibi'z and they, in turn, come back on their own with other friends.
I love Bibiz and always have a great experience with my girlfriends there but tonight I got stuck with the worst waiter... service couldn’t have been worse. Couldn’t tell if he even knew what he was doing. When telling us the specials he must’ve had a hard time reading his notes and called one of the dishes “um forget the name but it’s a good sauce” ... many times we were looking for him for drink refills, bread which never came and the check. Probably won’t be back for a while.
I'm not really sure what to tell you about this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it. Nothing special about it. At least the service was ok. The couple next to us were complaining that a 20% tip was included with their bill and they weren't told about it. They forced the waiter to remove the tip. I'm glad they talked about it because I would have never seen that and would have automatically tipped on the total, as i'm sure a lot of people do. They seemed to be unconcerned if the customers ended up doing that like it's your responsibility to check every line item on the bill and we're not doing that for you so if we get away with it, that's your tough luck. Never heard of a restaurant auto tipping on anything below six people. They also have the provision that if you cancel your reservation within a couple days of a special holiday occasion, they're going to charge you a penalty charge for it anyway. Screw that, that's what having a restaurant is all about. You get cancellations and last minute seatings without reservations.
The food and service was outstanding. The portions are quite large.
Food and place was great, tad in the expensive side
The grapefruit martini is amazing
great spot for brunch. Staff was lovely and great atmosphere.
We spent Thanksgiving atBibi'z. Typically we don't go out for holidays like this, but decided this year it would be best for our family. We chose Bibi'z because not only did they offer a traditional turkey dinner, but they also had some nice vegan options. Three course meal for $45. which I thought was good, especially for a holiday. Portion size was adequate, not huge, but enough. They ran out of pumpkin pie, which I thought was strange on this holiday. Overall, it was a very nice meal out and we were all satisfied. Cocktails are very good, too!
Bibiz is a neighborhood favorite. I had to change/cancel my reservation last minute due to a family issue and they were very understanding. We will be back as usual.
Delicious FOOD!!! Warm and inviting! I recommend the Short Ribs..DEVINE!!!
Awesome experience. Waitress was superb. Food was incredible. Just a great meal!
Food is high quality and very flavorful. I particularly like that the ingredients are not GMO and that gluten free options are clearly marked.
Food was phenomenal! And the service was excellent! So many incredible gluten-free options we had trouble narrowing it down. The service was fast and friendly. Quality of food was superb. Can't wait to go back!
Great food, wonderful menu and terrific service. Very pricy for what you’re getting, otherwise I’d be there all the time.
Where do I begin.... my cousin was in from Scotland and thought I had planned a nice night out. Much to my surprise it was a huge disappointment. One tell sign should have been there was hardly anyone dining on a Friday evening at 7. Secondly, when people request "house wine" you would believe the price would have been lower than their featured wines. Then lastly, when we brought the bill to the attention of the waiter and explained 2 people at the table ordered the same drink but were charged differently, not only did the waiter try to explain it was b/c she had ordered blue cheese olives (which was incorrect) but they "adjusted" the bill to the higher amount without explaining & ran our credit cards through so no room for further debate. It was handled very poorly by management and I was beyond embarrassed in front of my family.
Signed, Dissatisfied Customer
Great restaurant! I'm allergic to pork and I never have to worry!
