Servers were working really hard understanding their kitchen was experiencing a power outage. Service was great. The food, however, was beyond average. There are too many restaurants to go to with much better food. Not sure we’ll be back
I'd been recommended here by friends so suggested to my Dad that we go to Bibi'z for my birthday dinner. My Dad is not an easy marker, is very particular about his food, and has no tolerance for waiting.
Unfortunately, although the food and atmosphere were pleasant at Bibi'z, we had an issue with the service being unforgivably slow and a mix-up with my Dad's order such that he got extremely agitated. The outing became a stressful rather than an enjoyable one.
We had specifically requested no cheese on my Dad's food, as he is thoroughly nauseated by it, and his burger arrived generously drenched in melted cheddar. That caused the already slow timing to be even slower, and his dissatisfaction to soar.
The manager agreed not to charge us and apologized, but the damage was done.
I hope these problems can be resolved as the restaurant does seem to do a careful job of food selection and presentation, and I well appreciate their use of fresh, more sustainable ingredients.
Our waitress was a disaster
We love coming to this restaurant not only for their delicious food but for the quaint indoor atmosphere and wonderful staff.
The noise level was low because it was a weeknight andwe we’re sitting outside, can’t speak for inside on the weekends. Staff was delightful and drinks were delicious
Love this place!
Food is gourmet level and well prepared. Service is polite and attentive. Quality is very high, but prices are a bit higher than I feel they should be.
Everything was good. Only complaint was that they may have forgotten about our main dishes. Took way to long to come out and they did apologize. Nice staff. Great food. Loved the cocktail specials. Will definitely be going back.
We love going to this restaurant not only for its outstanding food (which naturally is a huge factor), but for the ambiance, and the attentiveness of the entire wait staff who is always cordial and inviting when we dine there. Bibi’z has become our first choice when we decide to dine out.
Since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease (2012) and having to be Gluten Free, it has been difficult to find a “fun” dining experience where the only thing available for me was a salad & GF pasta & sauce (Boring) while I watched my other friends enjoying fun finger foods! I was overjoyed with how easily “anything” I wanted could be prepared Gluten Free! This restaurant allowed me to indulge in fun dining with GF Fried Calamai (Delicious), kettle chips, spinach dips, veggie pizza (excellent crust) and dessert! I loved the variety and how easily the waiters understood my needs. They would have prepared ANYTHING I wanted, but all I was looking for was a “Fun” afternoon with my friends and finger foods! I can’t wait to go back and try something different in addition to the calamari! Thank you for an afternoon of feeling “free”... anyone with Celiac will completely understand my level of excitement as I would certainly recommend this restaurant!
We met friends there to celebrate our youngest children graduating college! It was a holiday weekend so the place was quiet. We have been here once before and it was equally as awesome! The service was perfect and the food inviting and excellent. We had a leisurely dinner including 3 appetizers, 4 different entrees and 2 desserts, each better than the next. Highly recommend the organic linguine and shrimp. Can’t wait to go back! Oh! And have the grapefruit martini!
Great food and the drinks are superb
We have been eating at this establishment for many years and it is constantly excellent. Because the noise level is low, it allows us to enjoy it with friends. In this day and age, this is an exception.
This time we shared two appetizers for 4 people; the spinach/artichoke dip and cauli fries. Both were excellent and a great starter. Our dinners ranged from steak to salad; all were correctly prepared.
But you must leave room for dessert! The sampler for two is really for four and the ice cream sundaes are delicious. (But try the white peach sangria, my favorite!)
Service is always caring and prompt.
Just an enjoyable no hassle place to eat!
Varied, interesting minuets. Great food. Friendly service.
We were there for Mother's Day. The restaurant looks like a catering room with very little ambiance. The food was tepid and not very good.. Also it was all over the place... Penne Vodka, Chipotle Chicken, something that resembled vegetarian lasagna and then hummus and mint yogurt... It was not good... and at $50 a head (plus drinks) definitely a BIG MISS. Staff were very nice.. servers were super pleasant. but not going back.
Had a 2:30 Mother's Day Brunch reservation. Arrived and a large crowd was shoved into the front waiting for hostess. A young lady was there but didn't look at or speak to anyone, she was looking down at computer, writing on paper and running back and forth. We spent 15 minutes waiting for anyone to speak with us. We were then taken to a table which had no silverware, no glasses. Then went onto line for brunch which wrapped around so if people were entering restaurant you had to press yourself up against the wall. Hideous pasta - which I later realized was gluten free - they only offered gluten free. That's great for those who need it, but for people who don't they had no alternative. My chicken was raw. We got Mimosas as "Moms". Server accidentally brought an extra and after putting it down to serve, removed it from the table. Classless, bad food, terrible service, horrendous reception/hostess.
I realize it was Mother's Day and along with it comes the price, but the food was cold and when I mentioned it to a waiter he said the burners went out. We had a party of seven people and I was very embarrassed that I suggested Bibi'z and will never return as I'm sure neither will anyone who was with there.
We were there for an Easter lunch Buffer. The price do the buffet was $45 a person. For $45 a person the quality of the food was not up to standards. The food was lukewarm. The staff however was very kind and attentive.
This was my first time to Bibi'z but definitely not my last!!
Amazing customer service and food. Best cappuccino we've ever had! Already planning on celebrating a birthday here next month.
Too noisy. The food seemed bland.!could not hear my partner across from me.
We had a delicious meal. We started off with the hot kettle chips which were fantastic. I got the steak tacos and my friend got the wild mushroom ravioli. For dessert we had the dessert sharing platter. All of the food was wonderful and the service was great.
We went for happy hour but there’s no happy hour menu. You just had to order and hope for the best. Knowing we were there for happy hour, the bartender offered us double martinis only to find out that the double martinis weren’t included on the happy hour specials. Then she kept leaving the bar to talk on her phone which made it harder to order drinks when we needed them. Food was pretty decent but very expensive for what it was. Total bill came to 140+ for two girls there for happy hour specials
Wonderful lunch special.Easy parking. great service. Would come back again and recommend. The 1/2 sandwhich/ 1/2 soup or 1/2 salad is a great deal. yummy.
Bibi’z is usually great, I’ve never had any issues with service, however, this time the service was not great. We were seated and it took 10 minutes for the waiter to ask for a drink order. The waiter had previously walked passed our table several times without stopping. We finally asked one of the busboys to get our waiter. We had to grab our waiter again to reorder drinks, he didn’t notice when he walked by the table. We had to ask several times (three to be exact) for additional bread before he bought some out.
The food was good, as it always is.
The food and service was excellent. The portions for the prices was unsatisfactory. I walked out hungry.
Food was very good, service was excellent, especially given it was Valentine's Day. Menu limited due to holiday
This is one of our “go to” restaurants in New Jersey.. say it ain’t so!!
We had dinner with our friends yesterday & it was obvious that the were short of help and some of those who were working were not trained well.
Yes.. it was crowded but that is no excuse for quality service !
We waited for 45 minutes for our main course which came to the table dry & Luke warm.
PLEASE!! we love you Bibi
We had a 5pm reservation for a family Christmas Eve celebration. It was the first time our 90 year old dad ate at restaurant on a major holiday. We requested a table change 3 times to get the round table on the staged area that we hoped for; once we were situated, our dining experience was nothing short of magical. Beautiful lighting, ambience and music. The service was exceptionally attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and they were even careful about accommodating dietary restrictions. We all agreed that it was the best Christmas Eve dinner we can remember. We can't wait to go back.
I've been back to Bibi'z about five times now, always for lunch. The food and service is very good and it is very quiet at lunch hour. One issue I have is with their coffee and it's delicious extras. I am not interested in the whipped cream and the chocolate, although it is probably most delicious and yet, the only way to get coffee is with these extras. One has to pay for this display regardless of whether they want it or not and if you are more than one person getting coffee, the size of the extras is the same and the charge for each cup of coffee is $4.50. Not interested in overpaying each time I dine there.
Overall everything was very good and the food was delicious. Understandable that prices are higher on a Holiday, they could have made the portions a bit bigger for the price.
This is the second time we have been to Bibi'z . I think the food is very good , but this time around there were some problems. Two people in our party had the Bronzino. They were disappointed because of the amount of bones they had to deal with. One or two , OK , but a pile of bones was not acceptable. The other problem this time was the service or lack there of. Our drinks took forever to get , and when they did the server had no idea of who had what. The same happened when our entrees came. We really like the food , but are wary of coming back because of inadequate service .
it was a very quiet night at Bibiz but the food is always worth going back for!
Loved it.Always good. lovetheheLthy choices. Highly recommend
We met friends, who had arrived much earlier than us, and were at the bar. It took numerous requests to have their drinks brought to the table. It took numerous requests to order drinks for us. They took our silverware after our nibble, and we again had to make numerous requests for new utensils. We waited an extremely long long time for our dinner. We arrived at 6:45, and the restaurant was not busy, so there is no excuse for poor service. This problem has been written up numerous times, by other reviewers. It is a very noisy restaurant, as it became more crowded. It is for this reason we like to eat early, however, we spent a much longer time there
Nice brunch! Good choices and food was well prepared and unique.
Thanks we had a great meal and time. It was my first visit and I’ll be back
Food was good, servers were very attentive. Nice outdoor seating.
The service was very bad from the minute I walked in to the door. I had a reservation and they sat down two couple before us that didn’t have reservations. I ordered a drink and my meal came before that.
The waitress was very nice and apologetic but the kitchen was extremely slow.
