Most horrible experience I have ever had at a restaurant! We were a party of 12 for lunch and saw The reviews were good. Three of us got there early. And sat and waited for maybe 10 minutes before I waved a waiter over to get us drinks. He seemed upset that I called him over. He asked me for my drink and then ask my mom OK lady, what do you want but then caught himself and said ma’am what can I get you. I did take into consideration that it is very hard to find help these days so I just brushed it off. The rest of our party came and we didn’t see him. he finally came back and took our order. A very nice woman took her appetizer order and was wonderful. Our waiter the few times he showed up was absolutely horrendous. The bus boys were wonderful but None of our plates were ever taken it off our table. We also NEVER got the right drinks! So by the end we Had our appetizer plates, our lunch plates and our dessert plates. I cleaned off the table with another woman who showed up. We had to track our waiter down to get our coffee and dessert. We finally just took dishes and silverware off another table because nobody came by to give us dishes. At the end we got our bill, with a 20% tip added. I went to talk to the manager to find out how they think they could add 20% tip to this even though we were partied at 12 I understand that they automatically add it. I was shocked when I learned that our waiter, was the manager. He proceeded to yell at me and threaten me. Saying it was the law that I had to tip him the 20%. When I went back to the table the bus boys apologized for his behavior. I beg anybody thinking of going here to not go here until this man is fired and I would never say that about anybody and never have.
Tasty food, cocktails that actually have flavor and strength. The food actually came out too fast, faster than the cocktails, so that was strange but overall we were happy with the meal and experience
love the live music. diverse menu and lots of options for kids. My only issue was it took like an hr between apps and main course.
Very disappointing experience. It started as soon as we walked in for an early reservation - we were seated in the back of the restaurant even though the place was almost empty and the hostess gave us a hard time when we requested changing tables. We didn't move, but even when we left an hour later there empty tables ( and not the ones excluded because of the pandemic). Then the food: the cheese on the margarita pizza was barely meted and the crust was soggy. The crust for the pizza with veggies was much better but overall unremarkable considering it had a 6 cheese topping. The cheeseburger was good. The pita chips were cold and the hot kettle chips (with salt) looked and tasted like supermarket potato chips. Maybe we should have chosen a different topping for them. The mushroom ravioli were drowning in such a thick creamy sauce that my daughter couldn't continue after the first bite. We mentioned it to our server but no one seemed to care. The service was slow - we had to ask for silverware twice after our main course was served. I am ready to start going out to restaurants again and supporting local businesses. But watching the servers constantly adjusting their masks and one approaching our table with the mask under his nose made me uncomfortable.
A nice ambiance coupled with good food make this restaurant one you must visit. Although the food is good, the pricing slightly higher than expected for the quality. Still highly recommended!
First meal out with friends in more than a year and it was great!
The chicken piccata was good. The short ribs though tender it was bland. The oysters were fresh but the scallops were very chewy. The service was fair and when we complained about the scallops the waiter told us its what you orderd and you can't change it. We were very disappointed.
Great food options for all of the picky eaters in my family.
All tasted great!
We were greeted by a friendly, smiling hostess. Walked in to be pleasantly surprised by live music playing. We were seated in a comfortable booth with social distancing protocols in place. Service was impeccable with our water glasses being filled consistently & the wait staff asking on multiple occasions if we were ok. The mussels in white wine, garlic & pasterma was delicious as was my short rib entree with mashed potatoes. The skirt steak was very good as well. We finished our meal off with the warm apple tartlet with vanilla ice cream which was also light & flaky. Over all, a very pleasing experience & we will definitely be back again!
Food and service were great. Bottomless brunch was fantastic!
Unfriendly barmaid. Food was good. Loud. Overpriced for the atmosphere.
Inside is very nice, well decorated and distanced. Food was good, not great but good. Hummus appetizer was a bit bland, spinach and kale salad was great, mussels and shrimp cocktail also good. My party had the scallops, chicken Florentine, chicken kebab and vegan potato flatbread. Everyone was overall pleased, with the exception of the flatbread as it was incredibly spicy and the description did not say it would be. Kids meals are very nice. Biggest complaint? The guitar player/singer. He was good but the room is too small and you couldn’t hear anyone talking. Even the poor waiter said I’m sorry I can’t hear you. It was overkill in a small space with hard surfaces. Also it was very cold where we sat, those two things made it less enjoyable.
Good food and excellent sangria.
The best I have ever had....
Very good ambience and noise level. Very good communication and very accommodating. Don’t highly recommend the food it was a bit bland, and owner did not make me aware of pricing for cake cutting as this was a birthday event for my husband. I bought my own cake but was charged 2 per plate to cut it
Bartender had her mask around her chin. Took 10 mins to get a glass of wine. Tuna appetizer was not fresh. Chicken piccata was dry as a bone and the artichoke hearts were hard. For the price, it was very disappointing.
We had a great dinner, food was delicious, and the service was great!
Great food and employees. Many waiters made sure everything was perfect; very nice. Food came out timely and taste delicious.
The guys are great and very nice.
Food was great; none in our party had an entree he/she ordered he/she didn’t like. Generous sized drinks.
Great food. Fantastic service- always!
Great gluten free restaurant
Would highly recommend especially for Thanksgiving
Service was great... servers were all very friendly and attentive. We were not at all rushed. Food and drinks were all delicious! We will definitely return for another lovely brunch!
Food was awful and coffee was cold. Didn’t eat my meal. Will never go back. Very disappointing because I used to enjoy going there.
Always a great experience. Food is consistent and never disappoints. The staff is professional, patient, hospitable and always knows how to answer questions about the food. It's a great spot to take an out of town guest or to grab a guaranteed great meal with your best friend/spouse!
Excellent food and service always
This was the worst any experience I ever had the assistant manager screamed at my friend tonight and try to kick us out of the restaurant for Explaining that we were disappointed that it took 45 minutes to get our drink the snapper was dry and not edible he literally braided us in front of the whole restaurant screaming at us bloody murder to get out trying to kick us out of the restaurant grabbing our plates everyone in the restaurant was staring at us. The table next to us concurred. The general manager came over after apologize took my took my snapper off the bill but then when we went to leave our bill still was $70 I called the manager back over and said after screaming at us like a lunatic you’re still really going to charge us for my friends meal and he pooh-poohed us and walked away. I’ve never been more embarrassed in my entire life not to mention there was a cord in front of the door that we both almost killed ourselves over from the DJ it was pitch black walking in the service was terrible I’ve been here at least 20 times I’ve never been more disappointed or mortified and embarrassed in my entire life spread the word this is terrible service they’ve gone completely downhill do not patronize this restaurant
Let’s see, where do I begin? It took 45 minutes to get a salad and an appetizer and it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get our main course which ended up over cooked and cold. We watched other tables get served and they came in after us. They tried blaming our waitress BUT we actually knew her and their incompetence and disorganization from the kitchen was the real problem. We kept giving this place the benefit of the doubt being that they were probably short staffed due to the pandemic BUT when the runner kept bringing us the wrong food from tables of different wait staff we realized that the problem was definitely not our waitress but the idiots she had to put up with...the mere fact that no one even bothered to compensate us for our patience as we watched other patrons just get up and leave just added insult to injury.
The food was good but the service was seriously lacking. The time before apps, between apps and dinner and especially at the end. We couldn’t get anybody to come to our table for over a half an hour to get the bill. On top of that, we were sat at a table outside, they did a nice job with part of the outdoor seating. We sat in a dark area and we couldn’t see our food or the menu or anything. I have eaten here before, the food is always good. But I was a little surprised to see those prices as they did not match the service or the seating that we were given. I asked if they had any lighting, I was actually a bit nervous because we were seated in the lot and I wasn’t sure a person driving would even see the area. I know its a hard time for restaurants but this was definitely a disappointing experience.
Went with 2 families, sat outside (but inside has great ambience) because of Covid. Artisan Pizzas are the bomb!!1 Something for everyone on the menu. Drinks are tasty as well.
Really good food and service. Would definitely go back.
We had a terrible experience. Management was missing in action the day of our birthday brunch celebration. They had two wait staff members present for the entire restaurant and never told us that our food service would be delayed by hours. We sat at 12:30p and our food wasn’t served for another 2 1/2 hours. Having brunch we were supposed to receive complimentary croissants and pastries but those weren’t served until we asked about an hour and a half in only to be told by our waiter that “everyone else is waiting for their pastries too.” Meanwhile they were serving our party alcoholic drinks, again with no food service. Meanwhile I indicated that this was a birthday celebration on our Open Table Reservation. We also pointed out to our waiter the birthday guest and neither a complimentary desert was offered or a birthday chorus, even though our waiter sang happy birthday to a table next door. Given the poor service, no apologies or any offer to comp or reduce our check, the final blow was handing over the Check For our Party Of Eight saying a gratuity had been added. The food might have been good if it wasn’t lukewarm when finally served. They would have done everyone a favor if they had closed for the day.
The service was so bad. Took 15 minutes for someone to ask us if we would like a drink or just say hello . Food was very good but they need more help!! We like to support our neighborhood restaurants but we wont be going back any time soon .
Love this restaurant. Great food GF friendly. Excellent service!
Overall everything was good. Would recommend to others.
I'm really happy I discovered this restaurant! We were returning from Nanuet and live "on the other side" of Bergen County so we thought we'd explore Westwood dining. The online menu was not expanded like the in house one and so that was a pleasant surprise. Our server Matt recited some more specials and added to our confusion as there were so many choices that sounded great...and a good diversion from typical restaurant offerings. Everything we chose was wonderful. The charcuterie board was a delight, not the usual appetizer and we enjoyed it slowly. The only reason for not giving a 5 star rating is the slow service... not the waiter's fault...he did keep checking back on us, but the restaurant was very busy. We will definitely be back so that we can try more of the tempting options! Hopefully outdoor dining lasts another month or two!
Outdoor dining was nice. Food was good as usual. The service was a little interesting as the waiter gave wrong info on the item order so was disappointed. Also they brought out knives when done with meal. Not sure why we would need those again.
Overall though - was good and will go back.
Great food w lots of gluten free choices. Go, you’ll enjoy it!
staff was rude, mainly reservation person/reception. we’re trying to rush us with attitude while other customers were shown respect.
Food is always great and consistent. Staff goes above and beyond!
Short rib was delicious, enjoyed my large martini too! Good menu and always nice specials.
