Pasta entrees were exceedingly salty. We brought this to the attention of our server. The kitchen offered to make us something else, but we declined due to time. Yet, no reduction on the bill. Disappointing.

Our food was undercooked to what we ordered (steak and duck) and had to be sent back. The pasta dishes were cold (and had to be sent back) and the pasta too doughy. Disappointing food. The service was good. Would not go back.

The food (Linguine alle Vongole; Polipo - Pan-Seared Octopus) was of very good quality but a bit too salty. Service was very good but the automatic inclusion of a 20% service charge in the bill upset me.
Upon inquiry, I was told by the staff that this was the norm in Washington DC and I agreed to pay it. But this occurred in no other restaurant. So, I will not ever go to this restaurant again. I believe that 15% for service is adequate.

Reservations a must the location gets busy as the night progresses. Food service and beverages excellent. Pasta dishes all fresh from scratch [for real] . A mix of customers, business, locals, tourists. You may want to dress up and make it a date night. I wish I had worn a blazer many patrons were not dressed as casual as we were.

I've been to Bibiana many times for business but finally brought the wife for our anniversary. So glad I did. Host and server took GREAT care of us. Lot's of special attention and consideration of our anniversary. I asked for a booth or quiet table in my reservation, and they had both waiting for me to choose from. Love the service! Server was exceptionally attentive, but never invasive. Food was good. The lardo on the misti plate was disappointing. I always order that, but this time is was warm and greasy. Rest was great. Stone crab claws...several bites had pieces of shell. Risotto, kind of boring. Expected it to be richer. Beet salad and Sicilian meatballs were great. Wines by the glass we very good, but the reds are being stored too cold. The cab/merlot blen was very cold. Excellent nebbiolo. Passito is hard to find, thoroughly enjoyed. And the grapefruit cello...what a treat! Great tiramisu as well. Oh, and they brought over another dessert unexpectedly as a anniversary special. Looked like a cupcake but was rich and moist like tres leches . Whatever it was, it was AWESOME. We will definitely be back!

Homemade pasta ribbons were a little stiff. Bring Italian and making our own pasta it could stand to be a little lighter.

Lobster was terrible. Couldn’t even cut it with a knife it was so rubbery.

Cinnamon gelato was heavenly.

Setting/ ambience/ atmosphere were all great.

Portions are big; half portions available for many entrees - good. Restaurant temperature was cold - bring a wrap/jacket. Al dente pasta was underdone - Al must have sharp teeth. Excellent waitress Cici - seemed to have too many tables to cover.
Anyway 4 stars; would go back.

My wife’s pasta was hard. We were also chastised for our 9 month old noise, which was not unusually noisy. Other than not feeling welcomed, the food was good but not top tier DC.

Having been here before, we were VERY disappointed. We have raved about it being our favorite Italian restaurant - but this time it was not as good. While the past is fresh - we asked for al dente. It was not al dente. We asked for the soup to be "hot" - we had to send it back - it was not hot.

The service was perfect - except for the instructions to the server were not carried out by the kitchen.

Wonderful authentic Italian specialties at every level. Took me back to the last time we were in Italy a year ago. Space is full of hard surfaces so it was a little noisy especially as the wine pouring increased. Would still highly recommend, just a heads up.

The grilled artichokes were the best. The lobster scialatielli was good but much too salty. Somehow the saltiness has to be reduced in that dish. Then it would be excellent.

I was a little disappointed with the fish dish. It was salty and the eggplant under it was not cooked properly. The manager gave me cauliflower which was delicious.

May not have given it a fair shake as it was a very unexciting business meal where we were in and out but the truffle risotto was too salty and uninspired. It was a perfect al dente though and some of their specialties looked pretty good, like the salt crusted branzino but only available for two.

Fantastic food with a very attentive wait staff. As one of the options for BYOB in the area, this restaurant will exceed expectations. While not accustomed to the corkage fee, our waiter wasted no time making sure our glasses stayed filled. Diverse Italian cuisine made this a memorable place.

Met two colleagues for a business lunch. Server was patient and very polite. One of us ordered a linguini with something and at the end she said it was very good. My other colleague and I ordered the tomato stuffed calamari with trepidation (I don't do strange recipes often). It was superb. Light enough for lunch but quite satisfying.

Bibiana is easily the best Italian restaurant at Metro Center, and one of the best in the entire Washington area. Food and drink are both consistent and authentic, and the wine list features many selections unavailable elsewhere, many offered by glass, quartino, half-bottle, and full bottle.

We went for restaurant week 2017 and the meal was excellent. The decor was a little modern and cliche for me but the service was great and so was the food. Burrata and meatball appetizers hit the spot. Bucatini pasta was a fun dish and surprisingly tasty. For dessert the hazelnut bar and the olive oil cake were delicious. Great wine selection too.

I had not dined here in a few years (not because I didn't like it), and I decided to return during Summer Restaurant Week and see if it was as good as I remembered. It was! I had the pasta with octopus and my husband had the short ribs. Both were delicious!! The service was flawless and the complimentary basket of warm bread also was a winner.

I've heard some people say that the prices here are too high and the portion sizes are too small. My husband and I were hungry when we arrived and were full after appetizer, entree, dessert. Maybe the bread helped, but we're not "light eaters."

In short, while this place is not "cheap", the food was delicious and the service was great. I won't let so much time pass before my next visit. Please go!!!

Excited to return to Bibiana last week for Restaurant Week. It wasn't as good as I remembered. Got the mackerel crudo, which wasn't the absolute freshest, and was over salted. For an entree, I ordered the stuffed calamari, which was SO salty. Maybe the chef was in love! The baba' wasn't bad but I'm not in a rush to return to Bibiana anytime soon.
