Delicious food! Very interesting menu to explore. Excellent service! Looking forward to go back!
Food and service were amazing. We all loved what we ate
Amazing food and cocktails! Fried chicken and pepperoni pizza sounds so simple but both were the best we ever had! The shiitake tempora sushi roll was the best roll I have ever had! Also loves the chicken chop salad and meatballs. My son’s child meal included homemade pasta. Cocktails were handcrafted and perfect. Ambiance is fun for night out, romantic for a date and all around kid friendly. Love love love! Will be back!
Very disappointing. We went with family from out of town. The burger patties were as small as McDonald’s only much more expensive and not as good.
I’d been eager to try Bianca since first learning of its arrival so I was looking forward to this dinner. Everyone we encountered was friendly, focused and clearly wanted to be certain we had everything we needed. Our group ordered a range of dishes, including the rigatoni, the salmon, a steak and an assortment of sushi as well as creamed mushrooms, Brussels sprouts and French fries as table shares. Everything was excellent. The sushi was fresh and delicious, the steak and salmon perfectly cooked, the creamed mushrooms are misnamed, as the name made us all think of a mushroom version of creamed corn. This isn’t that (thank goodness). The mushrooms are perfectly cooked, the flavors are deep and developed and there is a touch of cream that just brings it all together. And those fries! Bianca zooms to #1 best fries in Newton hands down! The pizzas at other tables looked terrific and we will be back to try them. In short, if you’re wondering about trying Bianca? Stop wondering and GO!
The food was amazing. My husband’s mussels were the best he has ever had. My salmon was delicious, as well. Hamachi and pizza were also great. Our server was fun and interactive. Our humor was well matched.
Thank for a great evening!
one of us was stuck in an accident and was an hour and 1/4 late. the restaurant was ok letting me sit at the table waiting. in fact, we were there for four hours and no one rushed us.
We had rotisserie chicken salads-very good. Asked if they served bread and were told they’d bring some. We were each given 2 slices of focaccia bread. Very surprised to find we were each charged $2 for the 2 slices. Would have been nice if they told us when we asked.
They did remove the charge when we mentioned it, but I hope future diners are made aware of the bread charge.
My wife was not happy because it was cold inside and HVAC was not working correctly
Also waiter neverasked us if we wanted more waters came out wron and was a very boring type of meal
I miss the old Cottage Restaurant! I'm not a fan of midcentury modern so the new design left me cold. The space is cavernous and not welcoming. The staff, on the other hand, were lovely and helpful. The food was good but the menu is not, in my opinion, adequate. The location is great so I hope things improve as they find their feet.
I was disappointed in the lunch selection. Would have liked more sushi choices and more sandwiches Have had great meals here prior to the menu change.
The restaurant has a cold feeling for ambience. The server was sweet and polite but not very efficient. Our appetizers came before our drinks and then the food came out sper quickly and was very average tasting at best. I will not be hurrying back.
Great service, ambiance, decor. Mushroom Pizza was amazing, Brussels sprout side was excellent, but Kale side dish was in contrast quite mediocre: overcooked and bitter because lemon overpowered it. Overall a wonderful place to meet with friends, will be back!
Great ambiance. Bright, modern with greenery, beautiful bar area, and red tiled wood burning pizza oven. Wonderful eclectic menu ranging from Italian fare to Asian foods such as sushi. Nice selection of wines. Friendly and accommodating waitstaff. Fun outdoor activities such as ping pong table, building blocks on The Street. Great area to hang out while waiting. Good place for small and large parties alike!
Awesome! Great good and vibe.
Brunch menu not much options e not option for kids
We'd only seen their limited pandemic-time takeout menu, but decided to go eat in person yesterday (5 of us, marking my father's 95th birthday). They have a large, well-lit space, a big bar, some spacious booths along a side. The menu was short yet full, balanced, interesting, inviting. The kitchen was bright and very open; the view past the big arch is of a large, red, wood-fired oven inside, dramatic. The food was carefully prepared and nicely plated, brought out when ready – and it was all delicious. We particularly liked the karaage Japanese fried chicken, hamachi crudo, short-rib rigatoni, salmon, cod, the side of woodgrilled broccolini and caulilini, and a dark chocolate cremeux and chocolate chip coookie to round things off. The cocktails were unusual and good -- the Raba Raba was a standout, and we ended up doing a second round. There were not many tables occupied, so we received more attention than we might otherwise have, but the staff were all keeping busy, nobody knocked off early. We felt very well taken care of with the friendly service. We'll definitely be back soon, to sample some of the rest of the menu.
Great location and atmosphere. Food was delicious and the menu was eclectic— truly something for everyone!
Food was much better than expected from reviews: really liked hamachi, chicken, and succotash; did not order pizza because it looked like way too much cheese. Would suggest if an appetizer is ordered bring it out first, not accompanied by main course.
I’m not a vegetarian but the mushroom sandwich could make me one.
They honestly need a new menu. One of their salads is just Lettuce! That's it!!!!
They're not going to survive with this menu, and we really need another restaurant in that area!
The outdoor seating is great!
Great good, but a limited menu. Ambiance and decor is a little stark. I think when the post pandemic menu is expanded this has the potential to be a neighborhood gem.
Good food , great service not too busy.
Beautiful outdoor patio, delicious food (tempura shitake roll is yummm) and drinks, great service, nice outdoor heat lamps. Will be back!
The manager is very helpful and very Professional. The servers varies. The lady that served us first is good but then she has to go off her shift and the second one is not so good.
My second visit, the waitstaff and mgmt make you very uncomfortable by walking by every 5 min and
What a disappointment all around!!
The wait staff were welcoming and friendly. I got the chicken Caesar salad. The salad was good but the croutons were stale. I let the host and waitress know and they took the salad off the check. My partner had the salmon and he said it was delicious. He eats a lot of salmon and he is a very good evaluator. We shared the corn-also delicious! The restaurant is ver attractive and the outdoor patio is terrific!
If you're going to serve a $19 burger, and your restaurant is next door to Shake Shack, your better be on your A game. Sadly, Bianca's burger was an overcooked mush, no lettuce or tomato, as was as small as a regular Shake Shack single burger.
The short rib bolognese was good. The hummous/crudite plate would have been good, if not smothered in raw, sliced onion.
Limited menu, mediocre food, terribly overpriced
Just ok. Pretty pricey for average. Kind of trying to hard to be upscale pizza and salad. Nice concept, option and location, just a bit underwhelming on bang for the buck. Good/fine if you happen to be in the area for other reasons but not a destination type place to eat for their prices.
Nice gem. Limited menu but eclectic. Everyone liked their meal.
Food was ok. Confusing limited menu. Trying to be to many things with few choices in each category. One ounce shots of liquor!!!!!
There was a children’s concert at the front of the restaurant which was very noisy, but we were quickly accommodated by moving us to table at the back off the parking lot.The servers were very apologetic - they obviously had no control. The food was great and we’d definitely go back.
Kids burger is basically the same size as regular on menu. Sushi was not enthralling. Mushroom melt Au Jus was really really really good though. Constantly waiting too long for food, table clearing, check etc.
Great food. Friendly service. Will definitely dine there again.
Caeser salad was excellent except croutons were stale. Tuna crude was cooked through snd marinade masked flavor of tuna. Salmon in cream sauce was in butter sauce. Half rotisserie chicken was just ok.
Wait staff were very attentive and kind. VERY DISAPPOINTED in our pizza after spending nearly $40 on it. We were expecting it to be amazing and it was very average. Same with the sushi and salads. Would we go back? Hard to say. Enjoyed the atmosphere, menu looked good but hoping the food was better. If it improves, we will definitely be back!
First time dining here - we went due to the hip looking atmosphere. It was not a busy night - less then 10 tables seated that got less and less as time went by. The service seemed slow - drinks came fine - but our appetizer never appeared and our entrees came. Our waitress apologized and we told her to take them off the check as they were no longer needed as our entrees arrived - we were three people and the entrees were brought out in three trips. We also ordered a bottle of wine. We were 1/3 thru our meal before it came out. All in all if things are like this when the restaurant is slow I would never come when it’s busy. But in all honesty we will not be returning
If you are looking for overpriced drinks and food, then Bianca is your place! Owner took off the one item we wanted to try on the menu, the tacos. Even the waiter remarked that many customers were disappointed. We ordered cocktails that were small and watered down. We ordered some apps and sushi that were ok. My wife tried ordering a vodka tonic. Tonic was flat and the bartender couldn't be bothered to fix the situation. Instead, he told my wife that there was nothing wrong and she ended not having a second drink. We tried. We can say that we have been. And will continue onwards looking for other places to visit.
