Place closed down!
It was Mother’s Day and although packed the GM Buddy did everything to make it a great dining experience! Even gave us complimentary dessert! Don’t be in a hurry as food is made to order and fresh. Will be back!!
Our food was very good, but the portions were a bit small and a bit pricey. Our service was awful, but it was Mother’s Day and they had a table of 25 to deal with and only 2 waiters and 2 bus people for the whole restaurant. We will give them another try (not on a holiday) because we enjoyed the food. Please note, the restaurant entrance is difficult to find, as it’s in an apartment complex with no signage. Call ahead to get specific directions.
I’ll start by saying that this place had mostly great food and a lot of potential, but there are some major kinks to be worked out. It is not easy to find the place and they desperately need a sign that specifies which spots to park in. The restaurant space is beautiful, but some of the decor looks a little 90’s. The food was great for the most part (aside from the stale bread they brought us) and our waiter was friendly. Oddly, they didn’t have a wine list and one of the waitstaff recommended a bottle that I luckily asked the price of right before he opened it - $120 and he seemed surprised when I said we’d get the house red instead. A few minutes later a different guy asked if we’d like a prosciutto appetizer and I was sketched out enough by the wine incident to say no (was it free?). The menu had some good options but I’m not sure why they opted for nearly all seafood appetizers. My husband ordered the salmon special which was great, until we saw the bill and realized it was $46. We also ordered a tiramisu that needed about three times as much mascarpone and coffee...it was dry as hell. By the time we finished dessert our poor waiter was serving a bachelorette party and another large group with little support from the other waitstaff who circled past us for 20 min without saying anything as we waited for our check. I give 3 stars because it’s tough being a restaurant during COVID and I would consider giving them another shot.
Everything was great except the food it wasn’t worth the price
Birthday celebration. Hard to find the restaurant. Signage really poor almost non existent. May be why we were the only 4 people there although when we left we saw two others. We were catered to very nicely. Restaurant would be great for a large celebration. Has a catering hall feeling. Food was good.
This place was so hard to find. When we arrived the place was empty. Wine list on line was not available. Waiter brought over two bottles, the Josh Cabernet was $75, the other bottle I could not recognize the name was over $150. Those were the choices. We paid for the water bottle and left. If I could rate it less than one star I would.
A beautiful decorated restaurant with a friendly yet refined atmosphere, impresive wine list, and incredible desserts.
Beautiful space. Good surprise.
Hard to locate
Need better signage
Service is outstanding! Best place in the area! Perfect way to enjoy an evening with friends! Looking forward to terrace opening!
Their foods and service were exceptional ! We really enjoyed our dinner yesterday. We will visit again soon.
Had dinner last night at Biancoblu and I can’t remember last time I had such good Italian meal! The menu selection was wide and they had plenty of special to chose from. Will definitely be back soon!
Horrible food! The spaghetti tasted like it was there for a whole day! The chicken had no taste whatsoever! The waiter was always hovering, and they used no gloves to serve our utensils ( COVID).
Needs new management overall. Nice setting the food can be better
Awful experience. Showed up to our reservation, only to wait 30min. Ordered a ribeye med-rare came out well done. Over an hour to just get our appetizers. Valentine’s Day so they hired a singer who sounded like Fran Drescher during karaoke night. Go somewhere else this place sucks.
Restaurant looked like a cheap diner....linoleum floor
Instead of a bread basket, we got a couple of stale slices of bread on a plate.
Fish was dry, and so were the potatoes.
The singer wasnt singing, just screaming...would have been much better off having some background music playing.
Waited 60 minutes for our table with a reservation because they were running behind. No dedicated server. No management to be seen or delegate issues. Music too loud
We made reservations and had to wait o
The food and Service were awesome not to mention the entertainment John Micalizzi was incredible!!
Highly, highly recommend if you're crazing exceptional Italian cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere. Great place to have a romantic date or brunch with girlfriends. Will be coming back for the seafood risotto for sure! They have broadway artists providing live music on certain days so make sure to check that out!
Strange location, no signage so difficult to find. The food was good however the entire experience from the moment we arrived until we left was awful. I had a reservation but we were only taken to our table 45 minutes later and told the kitchen closes in an hour. They never brought menus to us. We had to get them ourselves after waiting 5 minutes for someone to greet us at the table. One waiter was running around like Speedy Gonzalez. We ordered 2 desserts and only received 1. They brought coffee after 30 minutes of bringing dessert. Once we paid, the waiter asked us if we wanted dessert (again). They weren’t at all busy and the menu isn’t complicated so not sure why they are so rude and disorganised. Never again. Too bad though because like I said before, the food was good.
We had such an amazing dining experience. It’s our new favorite place!
Bianco Blu has always been delicious, but they upgraded immensely!! There is new service for sure, the quality was genuine and very attentive. The restaurant continuous upgrades are starting to show. This was now my fourth time there since pandemic hit, and let me say, it will not be my last. Their cocktails are unique and the perfect pour if you know what I mean ;). The main dining area is beautiful, now they even offer a private room! At first it was a little hard to find where to park but its actually in the same lot as Metropolitan they have signs to tell you which spots are for the restaurant. I wish this place continuous luck, they are a hidden gem stone in Edgewater.
Fantastic staff. Food was amazing. Highly recommend
I arrived 5 minutes earlier, My reservation was for 8:45pm. The hostess explained I will have to wait due to no seats. I waited 30 minutes and still nothing. I approach the hostess again and finally was seated 9:45pm. Time goes by and no waiter approaches our table. I could see other guess upset. My husband had to get up and stop a waiter to service us. At 10:30 we finally order our food. After tons of guess walking out of the restaurant. We were able to get our food out by 11pm. We ate fast so we can make it home for New Year’s Eve ball drop. Probably the worst experience me and my family ever had. We were told the chef walked out, the hostess walked out and they were running out of food. This place used definitely close down.
It is a difficult restaurant to find but they said signage is coming. It is on the second floor of an apartment building. You can park in spaces 1 through 60. I share that because I want you to find this restaurant. The food was excellent. They have a good menu to choose from and the service was attentive. It is very much worth going there for dinner. I live in NYC and I will go back because it is worth the drive!
Food took way too long, everyone in our party was commenting and anxious. We purposely went earlier than a normal dinner crowd because we had 2 children, ended up there for 2 1/2 hours (not because we were just sitting around and wanted to stay). Filet mignon was tough, I've never had filet tough, it typically melts in your mouth. Dessert menu is very sparse - 3 items. Even when i said "we would like to get a quick dessert" it took another 15 min just to hear what they had and 20 to get ice cream and cheese cake. The cheese cake was literally frozen, it seemed as if it was bought in the frozen section of a supermarket and didn't have time to defrost. The wait staff was really nice but would constantly come over to check if everything was ok, which was nice but every 5min, we couldn't even have a conversation and I would have rather had the food out. Overall way too slow, food was edible but not great, ambiance was horrible (but I contribute that to cov since we were sitting at some table they just put out in a lobby) waitstaff was nice but needs to understand to limit the amount of times / frequency they come over (we had bread and water at the beginning and was asked by 3 different people if everything was ok) no options for dessert and the 1 option we chose was out of the box frozen. I feel bad writing this but it really was not a good experience especially for our yearly Christmas eve dinner outing. Very disappointing
Delicious food and quiet ambiance, with masks worn by staff and good social distancing. We were treated as honored guests (we live in the building) and were celebrating my friend's 90+ birthday. They treated us to cheesecake with a candle.
not the first time dining at this place. the food is absolutely delicious and the prices are very reasonable for an upscale restaurant. we enjoy our dinner every time.
My girlfriend birthday
Lovely venue and delicious food.
Need more publicity, such as "190 River Road, in the Metropolitan" so outsiders can find it more easily
The food was outstanding service the same The view of New York also amazing five stars for this place
Outstanding service and food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Family dinner, first one in months. We had a good time, food was good, service excellent.
We had very good time at branch there. Service was fast, food delicious!
Food was great. Loved the salmon with mustard and capers, chicken francaise and the clams oreganata. Service was very attentive (almost to the point of too attentive with different folks asking us same questions) - but I much prefer that to being ignored. Drinks were great and bartender also came over to make sure it was to our liking. I felt though was overpriced considering it was Italian food and given the portion size (fair but not overwhelming). Perhaps if it included a side pasta or full size side would have felt better about the prices. Despite it's location they did a great job with the ambience (candles, white table cloths, fountain, music). They should try and advertise outside the building though as I would have never known it was there without open table and I drive by every day.
They have very very yummy food. The waiters are kind and fast paced but the food takes the longest time to come. But once the food comes it’s always good.
Great authentic italian food. Would definetly recommend, nice ambiance.
I was there beautiful place we sat in table 30 mins no one approached us to get order. They gave us water and I ask for sparkling never got it. No wonder so many tables were available - service sucked BUT hostess was very nice !
Amazing food and service, we expected live music but they didn't show up. The manager was nice to give us desserts to make up for it. We will come back.
