Biagio's Ratings and Reviews
The ONLY reason im leabing a good review for this place is because of the Manager Tom and my waiter Mario made our experience WONDERFUL! An hour before my reservation i called to make sure the place was open (due to snow) and i find pht there is an issue with my reservation for a party of 15. Everything would have been fine but the OWNER got on the phone with me blaming me for the issues and when i said his hostess confirmed everything with me days ago he started yelling that the hostess is not a manager and doesnt know what reservations are made or for how many ppl. Im not even going to get into how idiotic that statements was. When i asked what he was going to do about my reservation he hung up on me!! If i didnt have ppl coming from ovwr an hour away I wphpd have NEVER went there. However, when i called back i asked to speak to anyone else and Tom got on the phone. He was calm, and professional and assured me dverythibg wouldbe taken care of properly when my party arrived. He was right! Tom was fabulous and pur waiter Mario was just as wonderful!! The owner should be GREATFUL he has professiolnals like them or else im sure his place would be closed perminalttly if the owner was the only one in charge. Thank you Tom and Mario for a wonderful experience!!
The service was okay but food was not good at all. Pasta was extremely over cooked and sauce was not good, didn't taste fresh. My husband ordered steak medium and it was given to him raw. We ordered fresh mozzarella and it didn't taste like they made it fresh it tasted like cheap packaged mozzarella. We ended up leaving without eating our meal. Manager was really nice and didn't charge us. I expected better and I have been here before many times but the last time was 4 yrs ago. I Guess the food isn't good anymore. I personally will not be going back.
Excellent restaurant overall. Extensive food menu. Lobster Ravioli is one of the best in the state. Craft Beer menu could use a little lift, as the options weren't great. Make sure you call ahead for reservations, as this place packs up. They have a large bar area as well with high-tops, so there is a diverse crowd inside at all times.
We've been to Biagio's many times for lunch over the past several years, and a few times for dinner more recently. The food has been consistently delicious. The service is always outstanding, and the ambiance is wonderful, whether for an intimate dinner for two or a larger gathering. This last time we celebrated my elderly cousins' 60th wedding anniversary; everything about the evening was perfect.
Overall the food was ok, but not for the price! Avoid the "homemade mozzarella " appetiter for $12. I have had supermarket brand mozzarella taste better. The seared scallop "small plate" for $15 had two scallops and a table spoon of resotto! Not going back 😠
Although the noise level in the main dining room was a bit boisterous, we were given a table in a quiet corner. This was perfect for long time friends who hadn't been together in a long while. Not only were we able to "catch up", but we had a wonderful meal. Everything we ordered was delicious and there were plenty of leftovers. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive. All in all, a delightful evening.
I have gone here twice now after my wedding dress fittings for lunch with my family. The food is delicious with great sized portions. We considered this place for our wedding venue but didn't want to do the day wedding/night wedding time tables. Definitely would recommend to friends.
Not a pleasant experience. Incredibly loud. The servers were not friendly and rushed our party of 9. Also, the lights suddenly lost power and we had NO light for about 5-10 minutes. No apology from servers or management. Will think twice about coming here. Not a good look for Biagios for sure especially since our party included diners from out of town.
Business dinner in a casual atmosphere, Biagio's was a perfect way to unwind after a long day's work. Bar was well stocked and specialty drinks were well received by my guests. Shared appetizers from Salumi and Cheese plates were excellent. Dinners were somewhat average Italian fare but the deserts were great! Would consider to return with business guests.
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful and the prices were more than fair. I will also consider the catering hall because I spoke to a couple people in the bar area after dinner who said they were very happy with the catering.
It was my boyfriend birthday and we arrived a little late but was seated right away. My boyfriend ordered a 28 oz steak and I ordered penna ala vodka w chicken. My pasta was a little dry and his steak was not well done. I wrote in the open table it was my boyfriend birthday and thought he would get dessert with Happy Birthday written on the plate but they didn't do anything. It was also very cold were we was sitting in the back room socouldn't enjoy my food. At that point I was just ready to go.
Parking was a nightmare. We had reservations, but an employee in the parking lot told one of us to turn around and go home. Apparently there was a event in their catering hall. We parked on the street, at risk of a ticket. One of our party had arrived just before the chaos and was already inside.
When we went inside, the restaurant was not very busy. Our food was good and the server was very nice. I ll make sure to check if they are hosting an event next time.
I took the girlfriend out for a Saturday evening date in February 2017. Definitely mixed reviews! The portion size for both appetizers and entrees were excellent and the veal and Zuppa di clams were stellar! However, the service, while not atrocious, was mediocre at best. It was a busy evening but the fireplace area felt understaffed and noisy.
I would definitely recommend Biagios for the value and authentic Italian food, but the service and loud ambience make the restaurant a less than ideal romantic destination.
