Biagio Ristorante and Bar Ratings and Reviews
The service was great, though a little bit slow, seemed as if other tables moved a little faster. We celebrated Mother's Day and my mom's entree was the special and couldn't have been more her! A veal chop, broccolini and gorgonzola mashed potato. All three entrees were delicious.
A little on the pricy side, especially since we were celebrating and had apps entrees and desserts, but a great time was had by all and I would return for another celebration!
Accoustics weren't great, and it was loud but more as a background buzz.
We had 2 of the 3 specials for Mothers day and both were excellent (Haddock with crabmeat and Veal chop in a marsala demi glaze - yummy). Also tried the eggplant appetizer which was also delicious. Shared a Tiramisu for dessert - it was light and scrumptious.
Beautiful decor and open windows on an outstanding day made this a terrific atmosphere for our Easter dinner. We ordered bruschetta and an eggplant appetizer, both outstanding. The tortellini, stuffed haddock, scallops and chicken dishes were all very good according to my table mates. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I will be back to try the outdoor deck when the weather is warmer.
I just really like this place. Although the menu is small, it rotates. My favorite is the fig ravioli, which is back! I have never received a bad drink from the bar. The Pomegranate Martini is the best in Waltham and possibly Boston. It is absolutely smooth.
The food and service were very good. It was kind of noisy, we had to speak loudly to hear each other. I will definitely go back, because the food was very good. We had calamari, and fig and mascarpone stuffed ravioli, and friends has scallops with risotto, and prosciutto tortellini. All were very good!
Best Pasta I have had since we moved here from NYC! Started with the eggplant and ricotta cheese, then the fresh home made pasta filled with fig - in lemon cream sauce. Both were exceptional but even better was our next course. I can only say WOW to the Scallops and white chocolate risotto...a very under the radar restaurant gem. We will definetly be back very soon. I cannot wait to try most everything from the menu. Wait staff was great too!
We had a business dinner with 5 of us. The waitress was very attentive throughout the meal with the exception of bringing one of the side dishes.
The food was overall good, the presentation was well done. Had a wonderful bottle of wine with the meal as well. It was very relaxed and we were not rushed at all.
The food was good and portion size generous. The item I actually wanted to order was only available on the restaurant week menu and they wouldn't allow me to order it without the mandatory 3 course price. Also, they charged for water which we weren't advised of and yet kept bringing bottle after bottle without us asking for it and no free refills on fountain drinks. They did pace the meal well never overlapping courses and the ambiance was good. Definitely a place for wine as their draft beer list is small and not up to the caliber of the food.
We enjoyed a Very Good 3 course meal last night at Biagio. Great value for the set menu and very friendly service which was very refreshing. Cannot fault the food at all...the eggplant, the ravioli and the tiramisu were all fantastic! The restaurant itself was a bit on the cold side...our table was a bit draughty so dress warmly, and there is music wafting through from the bar area, but nothing too intrusive. I'd not hesitate to return and would definitely recommend it if you enjoy good italian food. Excellent.
Delicious food and very good service. We had the Restaurant Week dinner, including Arancini (rice balls with meat and cheese), Caesar salad, Chicken Parm, Tortellini in cream sauce with peas and ham, and the trio of mini cannelloni for dessert.
When the sun went down it became pretty dark in the dining room, and we would have liked some more light.
Overall, very friendly service, welcomed by one of the owners when we arrived. We'd definitely go back to Biagio.
This Restaurant Week dinner was a treat. The decor is beautiful, although the lighting is on the dark side. The room is noisy but the food quickly took center stage. We both loved the pear/gorgonzola salad, my companion's salmon got good reviews, and the fig and marscapone stuffed raviola in light cream sauce was to die for. Beautifully presented and tasty canolis topped off the meal. Our waiter was gracious, friendly and, except for a long wait before he took our order, attentive. I've been there several times and plan to return.
I was pretty sure it was going to be good as soon as I stepped out of there elevator and entered the lobby. This place was packed! All 3 floors were open I'm guessing there was 300-400 ppl there and it was a Wednesday. The decor was something you would see NYC as well as being very reasonably priced. We ate from the prix fixe menu, 3 courses for $33! Here is my rating pear salad & calamari (B+),salmon (A-),& fig ravolli and chocolate souffle OMG (A+) we can't wait to go back.
I went to Biagio for a night out with some friends. The food and service was outstanding! We started the night out at the bar, I choose to get the DeeVa martini which was delicious my guests choose from the wine list which they commented was notable. We then got brought to our table in the beautiful dining room for apps we decided on the calamari, and the special which was a lobster bisque incredible! For our entrees we I had the Tuscan ribeye which was cooked to perfection my friend had the special it was a veal chop served with a creamy gorganzola polenta this dish looked like art work as well as being delicious! Overall we loved this place and will definitely recommend it to people and hope to be back soon.
We really enjoyed the dining experience at Biagio. The decor was very nice and the food was innovative with great taste and lovely presentation. The service could have been a little more professional - it seemed the server was putting attention to a large table so we felt a bit ignored at times.
